You only have to look at a country’s youth to know the future of that country! Nigeria’s future is very very bleak! Such a pity! |
Zooposki:Exactly what I said in a previous post casualobserver:Someone with N5000 balance thinks he or she matters to a bank? People are just iso g this matter to feel important to make up for the lack of substance in their lives! |
erico2k2:Yes https://x.com/vanguardngrnews/status/1918592717371679041?s=46&t=zIh8l0Y5x1WkbEiRY9Q56Q |

erico2k2:This is the problem with you youth. Why wait for me? Why don’t you bother to use google to confirm? You can watch the video on vanguard Twitter handle. His own lawyer made a statement GTB released the cctv video The person who was with VDM said it happened on the road! Yet people who weren’t there are giving eye witness account! What is wrong with you people? Why are you so dull? Lawyers statement: “Earlier today, May 2, 2025, our attention was drawn to the fact that our clients, Mr. Martins Vincent Otse (AKA Very Dark Black Man) and Mr. Steven Avuara (AKA C-PACK), were arrested by officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), immediately after they exited Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) Ltd’s premises at Garki, Area 3, Abuja. Upon receipt of the information, our Founding Partner, Marvin Omorogbe, Esq, and our Associate, Steven Eze, Esq, promptly proceeded to the EFCC Headquarters, Abuja, where they confirmed that our clients were being detained by officers attached to the Commission’s Special Duty Committee (SDC) Unit 4. Further inquiries at the SDC Unit 4 led our colleagues to a certain Mr. Chukwu, who was identified as the lead officer in charge of the case. Our colleagues subsequently requested access to our clients, but they were informed that Mr. Martins Otse declined to see anybody. However, our colleagues were able to see Mr. Avuara, who narrated the circumstances leading to their arrest. From our interactive session with Mr. Avuara, we were able to gather that Mr. Martins Otse, his mother, Mrs. Blessing Otse, and Mr. Avuara visited GTB Garki, Area 3, Abuja, to make inquiries about the incessant deductions from Mrs. Otse’s bank account. Following the conclusion of the inquiries, they attempted to exit the building, but were locked in the bank’s security door for over five minutes. Shortly thereafter, they were accosted at gunpoint a few metres outside the bank’s premises, beaten and blindfolded by some armed men wearing black uniforms. According to Mr. Avuara, Mr. Martins Otse refused to speak with anybody, presumably because of the psychological and physical trauma he experienced in the hands of the arresting officers, who labelled them as “bandits” and threatened to shoot them in the presence of Mrs. Otse. We were further informed by Mr. Avuara that they were transported to the EFCC’s headquarters at Jabi, Abuja. At the time of this statement, we are unable to confirm the whereabouts of Mrs. Otse. We, thereafter, sought to find out from the EFCC’s officers the exact allegation against Mr. Avuara, having not been able to speak with Mr. Martins Otse. Subsequently, we were directed to proceed to an interrogation room, where four EFCC officers, led by Mr. Chukwu, attempted to interrogate Mr. Avuara regarding his relationship with Mr. Martins Otse. Despite repeated requests. |
The irony of this matter is that he was not even arrested on GTB! It was after he left GTB that he was arrested in his car! His lawyer said he was arrested after he left GTB. GTB released a CCTV video showing him leaving their premises. Our youths are brain dead! |
robinso01:Ofcourse not! Nigerians are noise makers! Maximum 50. And many of those who cut cards online will still go back to pay ATM replacement fee. |
To start with there are 151, million accounts in Nigeria, Less than 500,000 accounts have a balance above N1m 90% of bank accounts have a balance less than N50,000. Assuming your mythical 1000 accounts were closed with their N50k balance, The withdrawn deposit is less than what it costs the bank to buy a Corolla for a junior manager…..and they buy them in the hundreds! All it means is one of their Corolla’s crashed and was written off! Most NigeriaNs dont realize most Nigerian bank accounts are a liability to banks that’s why they charge you for everything. The amount of money the bank makes from your N50k balance is less than the administrative costs of operating your account. That’s why they don’t even bother with ATM anymore. Countries with valuable customers offer free banking. |
If your nickname is “Ade Bendel”. You are a fraudster yourself |
Nigerian youths are worse that the bad leaders they complain about. What happened with the endsars movements? What happened to their leaders? They used the movement oto cash out or a platform to change their own personal life! Where is DJ Switch, where is Rinu? Leaving the protest and movement rudderless and in the end the movement was captured and exploited by the same man who made SARS! The irony! Youths start an ENDSARS protest and today that movement is headed by an old man who created SARS! |
grandstar:Lol see this comedian o! Because you bought maltina at N1 in 1988 you think you know the history of inflation in Nigeria. A few years earlier than that we bought Maltina for 15kobo, and coke 10k…..salaries did not change for many years. I remember my fathers salary @ GL 16 it was the same N12,0000 in 1986 that it was in 1978. See Babangida’s children o! When we were riding chopper, chopper was N96! So take the pictures of ikorodu rd when you weren’t born and show someone else! We travelled on the old face me I face you Lagos -Ibadan road …..a road you probably don’t even know still exists today because you think Lagos Ibadan express is the only road connecting Lagos to Ibadan! See small boy forming elder! (Just kidding) |
Omoawoke:Just stumbled upon this I implore you to watch!
|
grandstar:All these historical adventures are pointless. If you go back far enough the trip cost N5. If you also go back far enough minimum wage was once N100, today it is N70,000. It didn’t start today so what exactly then is the point? Many of you are too young to be alive in the mid eighties, the drop in the standard of living was worse what we are experiencing today. Hard to believe but true. Between 1985 and 1988, Naira lost almost 90% of its value which is equivalent of Naira going from N600 to N6000 per dollar today. Naira has only gone from N600 to N1600 and you won’t let us rest! |
Omoawoke:Poverty or wealth starts first in the mind. You can tell poverty by their mindset. What you have displayed so far is a mindset of poverty or at best mediocrity and struggle. Take my advice and reset your mind. Don’t think like the masses or your will only ever end up like the masses. Good night and stop disturbing me! |
Omoawoke:First help yourself out of poverty. |
Omoawoke:If you detect anger it is because brain dead masses like you who don’t engage their brains enable the destruction of the country by elevating and empowering charlatans. |
These ones are not ready to settle their beef! |
Omoawoke:Like I said you are clearly a usefuleediot. I have said all I need to say! You heard what Natasha said. “Gullible and and hungry”. That’s what they think of you in private! The people who are using you to eat are the ones you are defending. Those trying to enlighten you are the ones you attack…….and you wonder why you remain poor. This is why good people have given up on you people and left your matter to God! You are the ones that enable and defend the people that mess up this country! |
Omoawoke:. My parents were public servants, my friends were children of public servants. When I was young I had great plans to contribute to Nigeria, after spending 2 decades abroad I had plans to bring development and help Nigerians. The one thing I have realized and I can bet you the majority of returnees will confess after living abroad and returning home is that Nigerians are hopeless people. It is why sincere people don’t go into public service and you get the kind of people you get. VDM is running his own hustle too but you are too dumb to see it. Assume 90% of activists or NGOs in Nigeria are fronts or a scam…..that doesn’t mean they don’t do charitable things. But it is all a cover! If for instance you are running a multimillion NGO or activism scam, it’s ok for you to donate a few millions or visit the underprivileged to keep up the front but that’s not the real hustle. They can easily raise N500m quietly and donate only N50-100m and pocket the rest which they will gradually withdraw as operational expenses. They need usefuleediots to gain the notoriety and brand to attract the big donors. So if you think this is about helping the masses, you are just another gullible and hungry usefuleediot! From those who use activism to collect money from International organizations, to media houses who blackmail high profile people with stories, to those who get paid to protest. It’s all a means of livelihood. Charity organisations are one of the biggest scams even in the western world. It was once reported in the UK that for every £1 donated to a charity, sometimes as low as 10p goes to the actual cause. How you ever wondered where he gets the money for travel and fund his lifestyle? Did he tell you his father left him an inheritance? What you ignoramuses don’t know about charities and NGOs is that all their lifestyle expenses and salaries etc are borne by the charity. So the easiest way to create a means of income for yourself is to set up a charity or an NGO, Find donors and after your lavish expenses, give the change to the actual cause. One of the biggest legitimate frauds in the world is setting up a charity. In a country like Nigeria they probably don’t even audit you. What do I do? I try and impact those I come in contact with, but Nigerians as a collective are not worth my time and effort because if I give my time and effort into public service, it is not for enrichment but for true impact and Nigerians have shown they are not worth the sacrifice. When you are ready to fix your country you will fix it. I not going to be collateral damage like my parents generation. BTW go and find out the real story behind his arrest. To start with he wasn’t arrested in GTB. He has 42 court cases……did you know that? The difference is some understand the system and has used it to pull themselves up in a lawless society like ours with no oversight! I am not saying he is running a scam but when a man has no visible means of income except his self founded charity/NGO/ acticlvism…..alarm bells start to ring! Nothing is ever as it appears in Nigeria. If you want to understand any situation in Nigeria, whether terrorism, insecurity, refineries not working, no light, protests or overnight activism, anything…….first ask yourself……who is making money from this and how? When a Nigerian all of a sudden is a warrior for human trafficking, ask him or her which global bodies against human trafficking t have funded them and how much of the funds they received they deployed to the cause and how much went in “expenses”! You will be surprised how much some of these “activists” get from foreign aid organizations….we all got a glimpse from the USAid revelations. |
BeginsAtHome:Gullible and hungry people get distracted and used as usefulidiots for the goals of the elite. Akpabio, Natasha, VDM, Sandra, Oby and this new Chinwo woman are all facing their hustle and all getting paid. The masses are distracted and hungry. You concern yourselves with their matter, they don’t even know you exist and you wonder why you are poor? |
seguno2: casualobserver:Going to a good university can open doors for you that ordinary would be shut. All rules can be bent, they are just not bent for everybody. All degrees are from all universities are equal but some degrees from some universities are more equal than others. PS: he was the dullest person in my class. That is how the story even got round that he has a 3rd class and the only reason he was admitted was because he went to oxford! |
Image123:Nigerians are ignorant. White wedding is a colonial relic dating back to Queen Victoria. Nothing to do with Christianity. In fact most of the things you see in a Christian wedding have nothing to do with Christianity, they are local traditions imported from England, Greece, Rome etc. including things like wedding cake , grooms men, wedding ring etc. Particularly irked by the OPs use of the word “sophisticated”. It shows you don’t have to put a man in chains to be a slave! |
Great100000:Story! The return for 2 reasons, 1: no place like home 2: the grass is not greener, if it is green it is only green for a while. |
To the less privilege reading this, this is why well off Nigerians don’t help the less privileged. You received N5m and you still come out to embarrass the person who helped you? Even God is not happy with an ungrateful heart! Somebody heard about your plight and helped you quietly and you choose to embarrass them in return! |
Gerrard59:We soak your bigotry and tribalism and then we snap and respond in kind then you call us tribalists. Call us what you want , we don’t care, we have had enough of being “accommodating” to those with expansionist agenda, we will return fire with fire and we won’t relent. We will not be gaslighted. As you do in every thread, A topic that has nothing to do with tribe you still have to introduce tribe showing what truly drives your heart and soul and who the real bigots and tribalists are. |
mignone:You are missing the point. That she decided to go for surrogacy despite already having 1 child shows how much a woman will want children. I am not against surrogacy. My message is women will eventually want children because they are wired that way and if you leave it too late you may not be able to. The point therefore is that despite the message they project, these independent modern women promoters marry and want children. So ordinary women should not be deceived by them because most women who chase career and forego children and family in their youth will not eventually have the success or the means to afford surrogacy. |
Kobojunkie:To you she has achieved a lot, deep inside her a woman eventually regrets not having children. That they don’t tell you doesn’t mean they don’t. Why else would childless women in their 50s and 60s be engaging in IVF and surrogacy? Finally don’t compare ordinary women to Oprah, she can afford to buy attention to compensate for the lack of children. She will have people around her till the day she dies. Most single and childless women will die alone sometimes for days without anyone knowing they died. It happens a lot in the west. If you want to know what is coming in future from adopting western practices like childless unmarried women or single mothers, just look at the countries that have had such practices before us. Finally finally, Oprah had deep emotional scars from her childhood. It wasn’t a lifestyle choice for her. Finally finally finally, don’t compare yourselves to the .0001% of society. You are not Dangote, you are not Bill Gates, you are not Oprah. They can break the laws, you can’t! |
PressMyButton:They spend all their youth preaching feminism, woman power, you go girl and deceiving other women, then they get to their 40s and realize as a woman no achievement can make up for not having a child because that is what you are biologically programmed to do. They can afford IVF, surrogacy etc. most of the women they lead astray can’t and don’t even have a man! |
JASONjnr:Let them be masturbating over fake gestures designed to be caught by the cameras! How many schools hospitals roads etc did that translate to in 8 yrs in Anambra? Natasha has already given us their name: Gullible and Hungry! AKA brainless and easily manipulated! |
If truly they were told that Sims wife would be there and indeed paraphernalia suggesting such was produced, then you can’t blame the women of Rivers for feeling aggreived. How they reacted in the circumstances I don’t condone but I can understand. The blame is on those who told them It was a gathering with Sim’s wife if indeed that was what was sold to them. Whichever side of the divide you fall, we must learn to be objective. Nobody is right all the time, nobody is wrong all the time. I have said this in a previous post that we are fast getting to a place where supporters of both sides are beginning to sound ridiculous. |
