Gnosis777: Well the images presented by Russia makes sense according to what the bible says. The scripture did mention "Hair like wool and feet like bronze." THE ONE VERSE THAT PROVES IT CONCLUSIVELY: Zephaniah 3:10''From beyond the Rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering.'' Looking from Israel 'beyond the Rivers of Ethiopia' (ie the lower Nile) what do you see? WEST AND CENTRAL AFRICA.That is where ''His dispersed'' reside. https://lizardpoint.com/geography/images/maps/africa-rivers.gif |

This is pure business. While they're doing this business to their gain, they're in turn building the Nigerian rail infrastructure. Nigeria government will only provide an enabling environment for them by removing bureaucratic processes and others. Very simple, straightforward business that is a win-win for all parties. |

robosky02: FIFA Ranking: Nigeria ahead of Ivory Coast, Haaland’s Norway after biggest move in 11 years
Nigeria has moved 14 places in the latest FIFA Ranking, sitting well ahead of AFCON champions Cote d'Ivoire, and Erling Haaland's Norway.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles are flying high after being officially ranked as the third-best team in Africa in the recently released FIFA World Ranking.
Nigeria soars in FIFA Ranking According to the latest release by FIFA, the Super Eagles are now ranked 28th in the world following the run in Cote d’Ivoire.
Nigeria finished runners-up after a painful 2-1 defeat to host nation Cote d’Ivoire in a widely watched final last Sunday.
But despite the heartbreak, the Jose Peseiro-led young side earned plenty of admirers as they soared through the tournament before missing out narrowly on a fourth title.
Nigeria’s move from 42nd in the world to 28th is the highest move for the Super Eagles in 11 years, with the team matching the May 9, 2013 position.
The Super Eagles are now ranked behind Morocco, who moved one spot to 12th and Senegal, who are ranked 17th after moving three places.
Elsewhere on the ranking Nigeria is now ahead of Erling Haaland’s Norway, ranked 46th in the world, and African champions, Cote d’Ivoire, who moved 10 places to 39th.

Politics › Re: Dangote Refinery To Export Two Fuel Cargoes by Catapault: 9:18am On Feb 15, 2024 |
Kushites: Are you minding these COMMUNIST ILLITERATES?
Soviet-era communists in disguise!
Any bold move by the private sector they frown on. Any good project must be government-run. If it is private run, it means in their heads that some private guy is chopping their money.
Yet this is a capitalist economy modelled after the most capitalist USA!
You have NO PROBLEM with private white-owned multinationals like Unilever, Shell, etc coming here and raking in profits while producing a service, but a Nigerian firm does it, and all hell breaks loose! He is chopping our money!
Right before our very eyes, thanks to the Dangote Refinery, Nigeria has become the biggest manufacturer and exporter of refined petroleum products in Africa - a massive step towards industrialisation, and these BUSHMEN on nairaland are here typing streams of rank ignorance.
It's just pitiful.
The Dangote refinery boasts a capacity of 650,000 barrels of crude oil per day and is expected to meet Nigeria's domestic demand for petroleum products and help Nigeria save the much-needed foreign exchange currently spent on the importation of such petroleum products.
Nigeria currently imports more than 80% of its refined petroleum products. She is the largest importer of refined petroleum products in Africa.
Local production by the Dangote refinery will therefore massively cut the country’s import bill.
''According to the Central Bank of Nigeria, the cost (including freight) of petroleum products imports into Nigeria doubled over a five-year period from about US$8.4 billion in 2017 to US$16.2 billion (indicating an annual average of US$11.1 billion), before rising further to US$23.3 billion by end-2022.
The central bank says the average annual cost of petroleum products imports to Nigeria could reach US$30 billion by 2027 if the country continues to rely on petroleum imports.
This money can now potentially be saved with Dangote refinery plugging the supply shortfall.''
https://theconversation.com/dangote-launches-africas-biggest-oil-refinery-4-ways-it-will-affect-nigeria-205685
..........
Yet we have this parade of semi-literate, ill-exposed professional malcontents pouring sickening invective on the refinery!
I mean, who did this to you people? I weak for them brother.. You can’t please Nigerians. |

In my encounters with foreigners overseas, be they Africans, Asians or Europeans, and regardless of whether they ‘like’ Nigerians or not, there’s always that look in their eyes when I tell them I’m Nigerian. A look that says “You’re from a big, great country”. It’s not necessarily always a friendly look, but most times, it is. |

Historical illiteracy. We don’t know who we are. We have no clue of our history beyond the last 60 to 100 years.
Compare that to the average Chinese or English person that knows their history as a people over the last 1,500 years at least.
China adopted Confucianism as a national ethics code based on the ancient philosophies of Confucius.
The English adopted the Protestant Ethic based on ancient European christian heritage.
Who do we know from our history or care to know, to draw inspiration from?
Nobody.
Even our precolonial technology we ignore. Something that should be the basis for true industrialisation.
We manufactured glass before the whites came. We used to manufacture and export soap to Europe in the 17th and 18th century, to the point that Portugal banned the importation of soap from West Africa in order to boost their local soap manufacturing industry.
We INVENTED iron smelting here in Nigeria.
The oldest iron smelting site on Earth is in Lejja, south east Nigeria, dated to over 25,000 years old.
Google it because I know you DON’T know anything about it.
Benin City was described by Dutch visitors as being among the world’s most beautiful and best planned cities, complete with streetlights and underground drainage, in addition to being crime-free, in the 1600s.
So much rich history, yet the average Nigerian thinks we were primitive savages in the bush who were ‘civilised’ by white people.
When you don’t know who you are, or what your ancestors accomplished, and inherit a colonialist narrative of your ancestors’ insignificance, worshipping foreign gods and adopting foreign systems of doing everything, you will have a fundamental disconnect with your own ancestors and people, with your very own HUMANITY and that of your people, and that fuels alienation and inferiority complex, which fuel corruption and lack of integrity. |

Gistsnaijamedia: Reno Omokri, a socio-poIitical analyst, has faulted President Bola Tinubu’s meeting with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Following their performance at the just concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Ivory Coast, where they finished second, the President met with the players in Abuja on Tuesday.
https://gists9ja.com.ng/2024/02/14/honour-to-super-eagles-tinubu-erred-reno-omokri/ Very deceptive headline. Reno is not against honouring the players. All he did was suggest that in future the govt should promise them those gifts prior to the game as motivation for them to play to win. He said the Ivorians were more motivated than the Eagles on the pitch. |

Let’s improve our infrastructure first, boost our megawatt, improve our rails, fix our roads, improve security, so when visitors come, they experience organic beauty. You also don’t want lights going off during matches or some bunch of foreigners getting kidnapped.
If we just do gra gra, host, build white elephant stadiums, etc, will be waste of money and won’t benefit Nigeria.
We don’t want to waste billions building stadiums, only for the stadiums to go moribund after 5 weeks of usage. Cool. |

Sports › Almost 2 Billion People Watched AFCON 2023 - BBC News by Catapault(op): 10:23am On Feb 14, 2024 |
This year's Africa Cup of Nations enjoyed the highest viewing numbers in its 67-year history - thanks to bigger broadcasting and commercial deals, and social media buzz. Almost two billion people are said to have watched worldwide.
Analysts hope the global appreciation for Africa's footballing flair will translate into more starting slots for African teams at future World Cups.
As it stands, Africa has only nine World Cup spots to Europe's 13, despite the fact these two continents have a near-identical number of Fifa-affiliated countries. African national teams have in the past complained their salaries and bonuses have not been paid. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-68286543.amp |
