Kaffy who was obviously shaken, wrote in a post with a sad emoji.

Despite being in lockdown, It's a double celebration for the Elegushi's today, as they are marking Eid-el-Fitri, HRM Oba Saheed Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom also found a way to celebrate his 17th wedding anniversary his first wife Olori Sekinat by sharing photos from the special day with on Instagram.

At about 6am this morning. I was stopped by policemen at the checkpoint on Adewunmi Adepimpe Drive, Lekki Phase 1. Coming from a prayer vigil. I and the female Taxify driver where harassed by officers and one of them eventually grabbed and pushed me violently.

Had I not been standing in front of another officer, whom I fell onto, I would have been pushed to the ground.

They called us prostitutes, including hurling other insults and had I not called one of the attendees of the vigil, I’m sure worse would have happened. The officers walked away only when they heard a male voice on the speaker of my phone.

Aggressive behaviour by armed policemen is unacceptable, especially when no one has threatened or physically touched the policeman!

In Nigeria many people have horror stories of police brutality and only rarely is something done about it.

If policemen want to check a car, do so, don’t pretend you want to check a car, when the only thing you are interested in is my wallet. I have previously been asked by policemen at the same check point to empty the contents of my bag and wallet onto the boot of the car. I did so so quietly, even as they searched through my belongings and counted the money spread on the boot!

Life coach and social activist, Laila St. Matthew-Daniel has told of her terrifying experience today as her first daughter, Funke Kuti suffered an “overwhelming” asthma attack today.

Funke, Afrobeat king, Femi Kuti’s ex-wife, was rushed to and hospital, Healing Stripes today after suffering breathing difficulties and despite the severity of his condition, the hospital staff were totally ‘clueless’ and she had to be rushed to another hospital, she narrated.

Traumatic Medical drama for me today! Some hospitals are death traps!

My oldest daughter Funke had a terrible asthma attack this morning. She was rushed to the Healing Stripes Hospital in front of Four Points. By this time her sister Oyinda had got there whilst I was on my way. Then I got another call that they were in an Ambulance on way to St. Nicholas. Why?

It turned out that the Doctor and ‘nurses’ at Healing Stripes were clueless on how to handle the case and were running round in circles! Before they could even operate their oxygen, my daughter was going into spasms – at this panic point Oyinda shouted that they should get an oxygen ambulance to take her to St. Nicholas – the Dr, obviously relieved, agreed and arranged one.

When they got here the nurse that accompanied her couldn’t answer any questions. They didn’t even call ahead that an emergency patient was on the way – Imagine!!!! But the SNH crew began Treatment instantaneously once Oyinda told them it was an asthma attack cos Funke was at danger point as of then – that was when I arrived!

I must commend the medical professionalism of the Doctor and nurSt. Nicholas Hospital Lagosl Lagos – and the way they took control was amazing. Equipments, on point!!! She had to go through series of tests and though she had another relapse, she stabilized and is under admission overnight to observe her.

While the baby boy has been christened, “PEREZ” meaning wealth in Ijaw language, the baby girl’s name was adapted from Harrysong’s own name (Tare) and has been called “TARELA”, which means love.

Beibei Haven Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation which provides support for women and couples who are experiencing infertility challenges is back with another edition of its annual dinner reception and fundraiser ball. This year’s edition tagged “The Pink and Blue Ball” is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 10th June 2017 at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event will have guests come together to enjoy an evening of entertainment including a 3-course meal, complimentary drinks and music by A-list Djs and entertainers.

The aim of the ball is to help raise funds for Beibei Haven Foundation to continue to offer free grants to women and couples who are having challenges such as Infertility, Pregnancy/baby loss and Genotype challenges with focus on low income earners. All proceeds will go directly to helping these couples who need medical assistance.

Mrs. Tade Alalade, Founder of Beibei Haven Foundation struggled with trying to conceive in the early years of her marriage. She lived in fear of being judged by what she was going through and was unable to find adequate support to help her through.

In addition to her fertility challenges, financial difficulties also played a major role as she could not afford the necessary treatments and had to resort to getting a loan which led her to work constantly for the first 2 years of her marriage to pay for fertility treatments.

It is based on her experience that she decided to establish the Beibei Haven Foundation to support other women and couples who are struggling to conceive by giving them the assurance that they are not alone in their fertility journey and all hope is not lost.

His Kenyan female fans couldn’t have enough of him over the weekend at an exclusive party that held at the upscale B –CLUB nestled at Diamond Plaza. When the sexy singer stripped of his shirt, his Kenyan female fans struggled to touch his Abs.

The party was the climax of his short tour for his Signature EP put together by Temple Management East Africa office in Nairobi. The singer dished out some popular songs of his EP such as Hold On, Up 2 Somtin and Baby Ansa among others.

Kemi’s passion for the make-believe world made her delve into acting in 2007.
