Religion / Re: Winners Chapel, Canaanland - The Most Beautiful Church In Nigeria? (Pics, Video) by cautious: 5:59am On Dec 30, 2020 |
Nodogragra4me: Oga “winner”, Is there a need to attack those who disagree with you on this thread? Why do you have such a strong urge to defend your “winners” agenda above the overall interest of the kingdom? The people you are attacking are your siblings in Christ and it is ok to disagree with a sibling on principle but do so in love, I beseech you. Saying someone is too shallow is an affront and does not convey the temperance or love of Christ. Please measure your words and think ‘Kingdom’ when you choose your battles |

Politics / Re: Dele Momodu's Interview With Nnamdi Kanu (Full Video) by cautious: 9:02am On Oct 31, 2020 |
Arielle: This interview changed my view about him too. The Biafra agitation is justifiable and I like his non-violent approach. He is also now pursuing an inclusive agenda so he just won a supporter in me. I am a Yoruba man that has always believed in correcting the ills of the past, especially the unjust treatment of our Igbo friends across the Niger. Kanu has further convinced me that the Biafra project is noble and pragmatic. This long interview held me spellbound. Great oratory skills! 4 Likes |

OdefaGirl: I think so too. Start to ignore him For the following reasons: - he is childish and thinks everything is about money and wealth. I suspect he is so money deprived that it dominates his mind and that makes him take every conversation in the direction of money with the aspiration that someday, he will live the lies he spews as current reality (for crying out loud, he says his father’s mansion has 6 BQs - we know he is only fantasising ) - he has created another ID and replies himself. Every discerning eye will spot his deception. The OP is a chronic liar and deceiver. - I don’t know you but I know you are not at his level cerebrally. Just from reading your responses, I know you are reasonable and Intelligent so I like you. Resist the urge to trade words with him, hard as that may be. You can see I haven’t quoted him directly even though this is his thread. I won’t be drawn into a debate with him because I just won’t dignify him with a response. He quotes me at his own peril! 3 Likes 1 Share |
Religion / Re: Is Taking Alcohol Responsibly A Sin ? by cautious: 4:13pm On Sep 01, 2019 |
But why would even hate anyone? Anyway to your points, - Jesus drank wine. Would you really think the Pharisees and Zacheaus specially brewed non-alcoholic wine for Him when he went to their homes? Like for real? - the early church had communion with alcoholic wine. You cannot dispute that from 1 Cor 11 because these folks were getting drunk in Church and Paul had to curb their excesses - Jesus said nothing that enters a man defiles the man. Nothing. Alcohol does not defile. Evil and wicked thoughts are the real problems of mankind newsynews: |

OP, Let me add my 2 cents from personal experience because my son was like that at his age. Is he verbal? Mine had minimal language at that age - Please keep the smacks to the barest minimum and only as a last resort otherwise you will keep frustrating him. - Let him go out a lot to burn his energy in outdoor activities. Those may actually wear him out for you, which is what you want. - As most people have said, reduce sugar intake. - I found out recently that fish oil is good for children like him. It has a soothing effect on the brain. I use the Artic Sea product from forever living for my son and we have seen noticeable progress. All the best friend. Your son will take his world by storm. He just has a lot going on his mind and hyperactivity is his expression. He will calm down over time. My son is 7yrs now and is becoming a gentleman. 1 Like |
Family / Re: My Wife Doesn't Work Yet Dinner Is Never Ready Before 9pm by cautious: 12:48am On Sep 19, 2016 |
You haven't said the ages of your children. Could they possibly be keeping her busy after school? Candid advice - be gentle and loving even if the hunger induces anger (understandably so). There is no harm in offering to help in the kitchen to speed things up even after you've had a tiring day at work. I know the generally accepted notion in an African society is that kitchen affair is the sole responsibility of the woman but you don't have to conform with that. Help her out and it'll create some bonding time too, even if it is a temporary corrective measure to have food ready in time. Or you switch roles. She can help kiddies with home work one day while you cook and give the family a dinner treat. You'll gradually and lovingly make her improve |

PassingShot: You captured it perfectly. Dokubo is only an attention-seeker and oftentimes speaks irrationally. When GEJ won Buhari overwhelmingly by a 10 million-vote margin 4 years ago, there was no regional "supremacy". Such a myopic fella. I expect Buhari to clip his wings for good. 3 Likes |
Culture / Re: Where Did Nigerians Get That Superiority Complex From? by cautious: 5:21pm On Mar 15, 2015 |
@OP, this problem isn't isolated to Nigeria. It is a problem of the Negroid race. The average Blackman doesn't like the next Blackman and would rather sell him to the white man. Try speaking to an African outside Nigeria and see how much they detest Nigeria and Nigerians. These things ought not to be so but it is what it is. I'm not holding brief for Nigerians and our perceived arrogance but my point is that the problem is deeply rooted in our race, sadly so. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Religion / Re: Why Pastor Adeboye Should Hand-Over Now by cautious: 5:55pm On Nov 02, 2014 |
Goshen360: You are right sir! Paul held the churches accountable to their doctrines, not their money. Preach Christ, he told them but he didn't set up a structure to control their money. Where that is practiced today, it is out of apostolic order. Yes, Paul raised offerings for the Judean Christians due to a crisis situation they had and took the money back to Jerusalem from gentile churches but he didn't institute a scheme to collect funds from the churches. They gave to him as they purposed in their hearts. No compulsion, no 10% mandatory collection etc. Just freewill donations 3 Likes |

CityNG: I promised you a round of applause. Your first 'clean' post void of direct insults. I told you, you can do it! Well done. Talking about truth, you just have to take my words for what they are. I did no research on you. Not yet. But I don't think it is necessary given the rate at which you volunteer unsolicited information on this thread. |

I haven't even looked at your profile neither have I read you on any other thread. You have a loose tongue so you loosely type and reveal your life on this thread unwittingly with no display of wisdom. CityNG: Talking specifically about travel, I have a humble travel experience and I haven't done as much as I'd like. I have only seen 4 of the 6 continents (I will spare you the number of countries and cities). Not a feat that matches yours, perhaps, but that is beside the point. Even if you have been to all 200+ countries of the globe, your travel experience is not reflected in your writing. Simple! 4 Likes |

CityNG: Compare passports with you? Never! That you would even suggest that shows how low you sink to prove a thoughtless needless point. I know people who haven't stepped outside Nigeria that are more articulate and argue more soundly than you do. With the way you write, I already wonder if you are the true owner of the passport you showed us. As I said earlier, you show no decency in your interactions and no reflection of the American spirit. You are a proven sore loser who aims to score cheap points yet can't seem to be tactful in your use of words. If you are truly in America, then you are not one of the Ambassadors Nigeria can be proud of, and you should be ashamed of that. I will personally applaud you if you can score another cheap point without one foul word of insult. Common, give it a try. You are up to the challenge. Refine yourself and argue without bitterness. You can do it.... I'm waiting. You continue to amaze me. You have no clue who I may be but you are so sure you'd win a 'passport comparison' contest. Who reasons like that in this age? Only a person whose mind never grew beyond the 'local champion' thinking of the 80s. The world has evolved, man. If your biggest achievements are that you left Nigeria and now hold an American passport, then I can now understand the origin of your woes. 3 Likes |

CityNG: In your eagerness to respond, you did not carefully read that it's your ally on this thread who mentioned Google (not me). You even turned against him and asked him to expand his knowledge. It is a shame that you'd do anything to fight dirty. It's ok for you to conclude I am not a seasoned traveller. I have no point to prove in that regard. Your beef against me is that I set out to clarify why you had to obtain a "visa" to enter Spain. I have never met you and I don't know your background but your uncouth language says a lot about your upbringing and your outlook in life. For argument sake, let's assume you are a more seasoned traveller than I am, your brash style of addressing people who have differing opinions indicates to me that your mind is unexposed. You may have travelled the world but your mind never grew beyond the confines of Ijebu. With due respect, please grow up and act your age. If you left Nigeria in 1986, I imagine you are not a young man. In fact, you are far older than me yet you carelessly throw words around without weighing them. That is a shame, sir, but it is beneath me to call you names or spew hatred towards you. 2 Likes |

My answer is NO. Rather than annoy me, this particular comment actually made me smile and shake my head in pity. CityNG: I don't know what planet you are dude but I don't know how you expect a Nigerian passport holder to be allowed entry into Spain without a EU visa, in this day and age. Yes, we lost our respect over the years but that's not news. I think you made your point that you have an American passport and you even showed us the evidence. That was the crux of your message even though you tried to conceal it by feigning ignorance. For the records, it is normal procedure that you were allowed into Spain as an American citizen without a visa. |
Education / Re: Egypt Air Wrongly Routed A Nigerian Student To Moldova by cautious: 8:22am On Sep 14, 2014 |
aaidel: It's the other way round. A visa doesn't guarantee you entry and it is the prerogative of the immigration to allow you into the country. He wasn't issued a visa. Except there are no legitimate reasons to be visiting, an American citizen cannot be turned away from a Spanish airport. That is normal procedure (based on agreements between both countries) and not a celebrated case like your friend makes it seem. |

I have said nothing to deserve your acerbic comments but I will consciously stay away from playing this in your turf.
