Dear Sir

My attention has been brought to a statement credited to the Gbenga Olawepo - Hashim Presidential campaign organization dated September 28, 2018 and signed by its Director General, Rt. Hon. Terseer Tsumba which insinuates the following:

1. That a “certain Presidential aspirant is fronting for some powerful interests in the All Progressive Congress (APC) to destabilize the Alliance for New Nigeria”

Being the only other Presidential Aspirant apart from Mr. Hashim on our great party, it is important that I respond to these false & misleading allegations.

For the avoidance of doubt, I wish to inform you that I have never been a member of any political party prior to joining the Alliance for New Nigeria on the 22nd of February, 2018, nor have I ever supported or been associated with any political party, especially the All Progressive Congress (APC)

2. “This Presidential Aspirant pretending to be campaigning for the Office of President launched a series of attacks on the party in the build up to her congresses and National Convention”

As you are aware, there were several concerns that myself, Dr. Thomas Wilson Ikubese & Dr. (Mrs) Elishama Ideh had about the direction our party was going as we didn’t feel the principles of fair play and true democracy that had drawn us to ANN were being upheld.

We had communicated our concerns via email to the Interim Chairman, Dr. Jay Samuels and copied the Board of Trustees and we decided at the time, not to attend the previous National Convention scheduled for the 11th of August, 2018.

Please let it be known for the record that I never at any time, used a public statement to “attack the party”

3. “This is in order to foist a prematurely organized Presidential Primary election on the party with the intent of producing a desired outcome by the ruling APC”

As a non Executive member of the Alliance for New Nigeria, I am not privy to deliberations of the National Working Committee or Board of Trustees, therefore, I can not be responsible for decisions the party makes towards scheduling conventions or primary elections.

4. “This so called Presidential Aspirant also circulated disparaging remarks aimed at impugning the credibility of our principal in social media...”

Such statements are contrary to my personal values, one of which is to “care and show respect through my words and actions”.

I have consistently run a unifying campaign that promotes values of respect & decency, without any direct or indirect attack on any candidate and have maintained a cordial relationship with Mr. Olawepo - Hashim.

I presume that our party is committed to principles of Transparency, Integrity & Excellence (TIE) in the quest for free and fair primaries.

I would appreciate if you could kindly look into and address these issues.

My continued best wishes are to Mr. Olawepo- Hashim and my commitment remains to the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN).

As rich as Olawepo is, he could not compete with ordinary boys scouts according to him. Fela Durotoye said it that money will fail in Politics or electionering Come 2019.This is just the beginning.

I have noticed that every post by this OP often goes to the front page but that of Fela Durotoye hardly gets there.

Mr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, a presidential aspirant and key financier of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), has announced his withdrawal from the presidential race, on grounds of breach of party’s constitutional procedure in the build-up to it presidential primaries scheduled for Saturday, September 29.

Olawepo-Hashim, hitherto the favoured aspirant to clinch the party’s presidential candidacy slot, said in a letter addressed to the party chairman that the abnormalities he mentioned to the chairman at their Wednesday meetings have not been corrected, in what he alleges amounts to a disrespect for the constitution of the party.

Dated September 28, the aspirant who has toured a substantial part of the country campaigning for delegates’ support noted, “The list of delegates has not been provided to me as a presidential aspirant on the platform of the ANN.

“This is contrary to the Constitution of the ANN and the Electoral Act. This is such a fundamental flaw as to render any exercise purporting to be presidential primaries to be nugatory.”

Olawepo-Hashim said it is unfortunate that even on the eve of the so-called primaries, guidelines for the primaries, which ought to have been approved by the National Executive Committee (NEC) and issued at least seven days before the elections, are not available.

“The absence of guidelines to guide the conduct of the primaries constitute a grave violation of our party’s Constitution and the Electoral Act.

“The arrangements for the presidential primaries have not been published so that everyone will know. Who are those to conduct the primaries, including accreditation of delegates, screening of aspirants etc. As a presidential aspirant, I am yet to know the arrangements put in place for the conduct of the primaries.

“I regret to inform you that I will not participate in tomorrow’s primaries until the constitution of the party is respected and all the defects are rectified,” the statement read in part.

Ahead of the Presidential and other posts primaries coming up tomorrow, Mr Olawepo Hashim who was also presidential aspirant until when he pulled out tonight was part of those who showed interest and bought the nomination form.

Mr Hashims withdrew just some few hours to the primary which is slated for tomorrow mainly because he wasn't allowed to know all the delegates and have some uncommon familiarization with them.

This is tantamount to inducement of the delegates, which the ANN party will not have anything to do With.

Truly the ANN is THE DIFFERENCE and ANEW NIGERIA is possible

hello wordpress experts, i have been battling to change some images on a wordpress site, the image section is not editable so i couldn't remove it, i also when to the cpanel to delete the image from the uploads folder hoping it wont show again but surprisingly i still find the image there.

I really need your help on how to do this.

According to the Yoruba adage "Lies may run for twenty years but truth will catch up with it", this is the case of Gbenga Olwepo Hashim who is a presidential aspirant under the ANN party. It didn't take up to months not to talk of twenty years before the truth caught up with him.
