In terms of security, I will score Yahaya Bello a strong 75% / 100. The man has tried. Lest we forget, the federal highways in Kogi state are manned by men of the Nigerian police and Army who are all handsomely paid by Yahaya Bello. |
the trouble these IPOBs are looking for, they'll soon get it. Nobody should shout or cry when it starts. I'm an igbo son but I condemn in totality what these urchins are doing. |
BUGOFF:Currently looking to buy a 40ft container myself. |
9jah:typical igbo man, with sense half of a peanut. you didn't even answer the points I raised, rather you went on ranting about long-forgotten wars and how igbos are worshipped all over the world. Keep deceiving yourself, because you lot liked to be worshipped. |
Rexwalters1:Like I don't know where the logical thinking to that comes from. How they keep blaming other people for their misfortune yet, they go on causing economic damage to their own state and community. so stupid! Sorry to say but igbo people have never been politically and economically smart or tact. |
Rexwalters1:bros, I condemn IPOB wholeheartedly but you see in politics ehh, you can never be too sure. my opinion though |
The southeast is not good for business. IPOB is setting these people back 30-40 years in economic and social development. |
The message is loud and clear, either APC sponsored thugs or IPOBs don't want the elections to hold come November 2021. |
I'm honestly saddened by this loss. It will never be well with the people that committed this act. Human beings are wicked, even in the office too. Let it be known that an Eastern will never become the President of Nigeria in 2023. |
Rubbiish:hey, thanks for the words buddy! I really hope I don't pressurize myself though. have a blessed week. |
Rubbiish:31 yrs old. apologies for the late response |
I hope he won't be killed after his tenure like they killed Dr Mailafia Obadiah |
same here. my peers are getting married in droves and I'm still single, thereby, adding some sort of psychological pressure on me. |

1. You must remain calm at this moment and do not argue with kidnappers. 2. Whatever are their conditions, give in (of course be realistic with the amount you can afford) and do not be opinionated. 3. Your priority now is getting your niece safely rather than trying to save a few bucks. 4. Do not jeopardize her safety with rash and irrational decisions (see 2). I wish you the very best and her safe return! |
Goes to show the level of insecurity in the North. Aisha Buhari can't even host her cup in Abuja, Katsina, Kano or Kaduna |
Guys, there's serious security challenge across the country, coupled with the incessant hardship and not forgetting the daily fall of the Naira. If Buhari isn't toppled before 2023, then, he absolutely has his stars to thank. |
this is really serious, I'm really disappointed in tonto. |
In 2014, containers cost approximately 350k - 400k for a standard 20ft container. However, in 2021, that price has doubled to about 800k for the same 20ft container and is still on projection to increase before the end of the year. I do not know what the future holds, but whatever it is, I pray things to start getting better. |
I have come to realize that most people on Nairaland don't think before they write. Most people on here kept criticizing the government (of which they aren't right to pull the plug on Twitter but also not entirely wrong to have done so considering the circumstances). Below are my few takes on Twitter: 1. It was highly disrespectful for Twitter to locate their African office outside Nigeria when at least 40% of their revenue in Africa comes from Nigeria. 2. They ought to understand the geopolitics of some countries and should not think what applies in the USA would automatically apply in Nigeria or elsewhere. |
I commend the FGN for taking a stand (might be quite extreme but good). The truth is, considering our bilingual and multiethnic culture, social media must be regulated unless one fake news can send a region spinning out of control with emotions running high thereby leading people to perpetuate the unthinkable. |
The Army should roll in the tanks and level all buildings. Enough of this rubbish. Nnamdi Kanu should be extradited and made to face the law. |
If I were the President, I will withdraw ALL SECURITY PERSONNELS (Army, Police, NSCDC & others) from the region until further notice. Also, all government properties destroyed by this miscreants MUST be rebuilt or PAYED by the indigenes of the state. And of course, they will pay x10 for every property. The people must be accountable. |
I weep for southeast. I just hope they don't blame southwest for their misfortunes again because clearly, they're the ones inflicting this damage on themselves. |
I like this man. He has made Ebonyi State quite relevant by consistently being on the news. He has taken steps his predecessors would never have dreamt or had the balls to take. Nice one |
Imo people are too vindictive. God forbid |
insecurity and the economy are at an all-time low. May God see us through this Buhari administration and many more to come. It is well |
no living creature is left out in this nigeria. Even those animals go understand say something no correct for this country. unfortunate animals, whereas their peers (like human beings) are in better zoos or wildlife having the time of their lives, these ones are here suffering. It is well. The life no balance all around. |
