300 kilometers mileage on full charge ain't bad. And 2hrs to full charge from zero is manageable for a van. I also think 5 years battery lifespan is a little too short for comfort. But it's a good start nonetheless.

One good thing I noticed about E-vehicles is that a lot of small startup companies are entering the niche, some even measuring up to tesla performance in speed, mileage and recharging duration. This is aside from guys that will even prefer to DIY rather than buy because main requirements are an electric drive training, batteries (which China is happily providing for the world), a motor speed controller and a light body/framework to house them. You can add other accessories as choice based on the level of luxury desired.

The import of this is that prices will likely be down to very affordable levels.

Talking about electric cars in Nigeria, we just may have keyed in early than we anticipate with a new entrant into the fray. My statement is safely assuming ignoring the Hyundai Kona which is from mainstream car maker and with a base price on the high side.

Nigeria ranks number 3 on the Global Terrorism index after Afghanistan and Iraq.

This is the 5 years achievement of the Fulani run government under Boko Haram sympathiser and Herdsmen grand patron, Buhari.

Issue is most want to buy cheap products and expect it to work like brand new, Even LG brand new I bought from LG had remote sensor issue after one month though LG repaired under warranty..

If you want to buy product and have 2 years warranty just go to Fouani store or similar, stop looking for cheap deals and say someone scammed you, even seller may not know.

It's 50/50, when you buy used especially from Alaba.. it's not something New.
That's where you may be wrong. I patronised him for TV not because of cheap cost but because of the touted features which is not even available in brand new TVs sold by the walk in shops that I visited at that time. After all I eventually settled for a 135k TV with manageable but less features than what I want. This was one of the reasons I believed the guy that products meant for Europe and US are much more feature packed and strong than those sent down to Africa where the Standard Organisation are comatose. And of course we see that "bland-feature" trend thingy with new cars sent to Nigeria when the same brand (even in tokunbo sef) imported from the US will be feature rich. There is a reason for that phrase "American spec" in car purchases.

PoliticsRe: FG Admits Revenues Crashing, Says Nigeria Faces Hard Times by Ceaser01:
Good. They should start cutting cost of governance starting from the ministers and legislooters.

When an individual spends money lavishly rather than saving and investing same, the end result are times like this. The average citizens of Nigeria are financially reasonable ones that try as much as possible to live within their means. Despite the difficulties, many have been able to own houses and afford for 'emselves the most basic things of life, even if grossly inadequate. That is why Nigeria has not seriously gone the way of Venezuela earlier than now: it is more of the efforts of the citizenry rather than the government. Most homes engage in some level of sustenance/subsistence agriculture and that has been able to keep hunger at bay. The few that have enough resources go into commercial farming, increasing the food capacity and earning a few more money for 'emselves in the process. About three months ago, two street people have called me for favour that I allow 'em use a few of my undeveloped plots to farm, a request which I eagerly obliged.

Even Nigerians in diaspora did not take the back seat. They have continuously played their part to keep oiling the sustenance of their folks back home. This they do by the dollar remittances to their families and doing so indirectly boost the dollar supply that has kept the naira reasonable to some extent.

Sadly this honourable trend of Nigerians farming to sustain 'emselves had to be destroyed by the government (the chief culprit in all these mess) by allowing Fulani herdsmen to attack farmers' crops and kill any of 'em that disagrees.

The chunk of the avaricious lifestyle that brought us to this level is done by the political class. They are the ones that loot the treasury to fund lifestyles overseas, carrying our common patrimony into the hands of other countries, destroying the home while developing those other countries economy in the process.

The problem started with the leaders/politician, it has continued with them being alive and the problem will definitely end with them being dead.

When a home faces financial crunch, the father and/mother cut down on their avaricious lifestyles for the time being. Much less of parte after parte, much less of owanbe, much less exotic foods and lifestyle while they concentrate more on using the limited income to sustain their family's basic needs of life - upkeep/feeding/shelter and their children's/ward's education. They have in mind that nothing lasts forever and the downtime will soon be over to a time things will become adequate again.

I hope those hoes/prostitut3s and criminals at Aso Rock know this simple life approach.

But, let there be an issue they will open thread, if everyone that had good feedback always post, then we can calculate satisfaction ratio..

I bought 4K 43" TV android Philip from him, works fine almost a year now..
Refer to earlier posts where I mentioned that Philip, Samsung, Panasonic and maybe Sony are challenges for 'em to f0ndle with, repair or fake because the replacement parts are not easily available and Chinese replacement parts aren't easy to come by. So they don't even like to import those ones cos if they come faulty, they have some difficulty with the repair.

But for LG products o, omo na bancing; na express scam. Demand is high, fake parts full market like mad and the parts are cheap.

Had a similar experience with the guy last year, bought a 43" 4k tv from him, a month after, lines appeared on the tv screen. Told him, he offered to collect the tv back from me if I can let about 30k go. I had no choice but to find a solution myself. Later cleared the lines myself sha but definitely not doing business with him again
It seems 30 k was his going rate for scam. He may have increased it now sha.

adrusa:
I had a similar experience with the guy and I even opened a thread about his scam. Once in a while, I see new "likes and shares" on my old thread and smile to myself knowing that another "mugu" has entered his trap.

He has many accounts on nairaland to upvote himself and attack those who complain about his scams. I believe that is why he has survived so far. For me, he sold a 55" LG to me for 170K some years back. He brought the TV down himself protectively packed like a dead body. When we set the TV up, it had several thick and unsightly lines which were not in the picture he showed to me while we were negotiating. He pretended that the line got there as a result of movement during transportation which I knew was a lie having personally transported TV almost unprotected on the back seat of my car from Alaba to Ibadan at least twice with no damage.
The same Modus Operandi.

He is always quick to attribute the presence of lines to problems with road transport as if the TVs sold in walk in shops all over the country (even in the remotest parts) fly to those places on a drone.

I have accepted the 30 thousand naira "line on TV" discount stoically. It pushed me to kukuma get a new one that is giving me rest of mind. So, no qualms.

See as Netflix dey get garmut of colour distortion for almost half of the screen. It's only terrestrial TV (NTA, LTV etc) dem that the thing fit show well. Anything 1 0 8 0 p na OYO

Like I said earlier, there is no new information in this submission beyond what most people here already know and which the member that sought the info can decipher from pictures of the products online. He was already specific - DC/AC freezer - and you yourself know that a reasonable energy backup for appliances like that start from 100ah battery. Even a 200 watts continuous (800 watts peak) deep freezer can be powered with a 100 ah battery.

Also i can't get the information i seek from your notification that "you have sold to five different guys, most of 'em here" either.

The information you should try to give and emphasize is the efficiency or the runtime of the freezer on the 100ah battery compared to other AC freezers.

You are the one that is petty.

Majority of Nigerians rather than loathe or envy Ghana for the feat have actually congratulated Ghana, and for obvious reasons. Ghana's politician have not threatened to sue Jack Dorsey - Garbage Shehu did. Ghana has not killed her protesters - Nigerian government did. Ghana did not sponsor pro-protests for 79 euros, Buhari did.

Sane Nigerians know that the country is structured to kill businesses. Most of these people may have had their businesses frustrated to extinction by decrepit infrastructures and the policies of the government. Hence the reason they are happy for one less business to be destroyed by our politicians. They are happy for Twitter for escaping a bullet.

I am happy for Twitter and I am happy for Ghana. I hope they continue with whatever model that is working for them. I hope a time comes when Nigeria will look inwards and see Ghana and the rest as a source of inspiration.

This won't work. Prosecution and imprisonment is enough deterrent. Not this 50 million naira child's play that is chicken change for the thieving politicians.

A politician will go ahead to deliberately commit the electoral offence, makes sure he achieved his aim and have the 50 million naira handy to settle the fine.

His thought will be "if 50 million naira will ensure my shot at the governorship position while ensuring the loss of my opponent, then I'll gladly pay it"

This is the same way the 500 thousand naira hate speech fine reviewed upward to 5 million naira has not worked till this day. In fact, what the politicians do now is this: they walk up to the radio or TV station with their hate speech broadcast, pay 5 million for the broadcast and drop 5 million naira extra for the station in case NCC comes calling with their "hate speech" penalty.

Now tell me if that is not a good deal.

I disagree, no one is a baby you should make your research your self before buying a product. Besides it was greed that brought the buyer to just emmanuel.
Every nigerian knows fouani is the original importer of genuine lg products, but he chose alaba boys because of price.
Warning only buy from alaba boys when you have done your own investigation. This is greed plain...just emmanuel don start.
Please you can't blame sinolord for this. Fouani does not have outlets all over Nigeria. Even their website online, the last time I checked about a year ago, does not have ease of making orders and delivery. So the next best places you can get their products is either on Fouani listing on outlets like Jumia or Konga or even accredited LG distributors/outlets (not Fouani) that dot the states of the federation. Such outlets themselves have listings on places like Konga, Jumia or Jiji which are also places of convergence for Alaba merchants, both fake and genuine.

I could have easily assumed that an Alaba merchant can also be an LG accredited distributor since it's not only Fouani that sells genuine LG products. This experience with Acunon was 7 months ago. The walk in shop I eventually got the android TV from is the same shop I got the Hisense smart TV from. I've purchased 2 different deep freezers from same shop, both serving well. I only needed a replacement TV for the bedroom hence my scouting around for something not too expensive. And I thought I could get a fair deal from that Acunon dude.

If a merchant in Lagos claims to sell genuine product and the price is 15 k or 20 k less than what it costs in places like Ondo, Ekiti, Enugu or Warri, it is easy to assume that the higher price is due to logistics down to such places. Therefore if it would take me to just spend 5 k to transport it down to such places and save 15 k, then why not.

JustCryptos:
Similar to this man's experience, I purchased a DC iron from Emmanuel sometime last year. I inquire about the hotness of the iron before making the purchase and he assured me that it was very hot.

Sadly, I made payment, had a lot of issues collecting the item from the transport company used, and finally tested the product. The performance was less than expected.

I chatted him up and his response was that o was the only one that had complained about the product and I shouldn't expect a DC iron to perform like an AC iron.

I wasn't seeking a refund. I was just not okay with the said product. The experience was indeed a terrible one. The iron has been in my box since then.
You should have made inquiries about the DC iron here. In fact it has been discussed severally on this forum and I can remember commenting on it. I bought one on Konga over three years ago and it has not been useful for one day. Most vendors here do not even have the least idea of the specs or performance of what they sell and even if they do, they'll rather hide the gloom and doom under a cloak of praise singing for the item in order to sell, which is their primary objective, your comfort and satisfaction coming in at a distant 100th objective. Hence, occasionally the workings of some items are best judged from personal experience, more like taking a blind leap and turning oneself to a lab rat. A recent example is the Felicity Lithium packs. So try to ask around here for someone who may have used such items before making decision to also get it. Here, we learn from one anothers' failures and pitfalls.

Patronage in that shop subtly indicates requirement for another extra freezer, probably a bigger one. I will watch as things go with more/adequate panel addition to satiate the 24 v / 220 ah LFP. I bought an item that purchase protection is about to expire. Tracking says its at NGOSHO and undelivered, meanwhile I'm in Anambra state and my local post office is at NGNNE. This is not my ist time shopping at aliexpress as I have been doing that for years but this is the ist time this is happening. Funny enough other items I ordered with above item delivered to Anambra state. What to do? No one has called me from any post office and I went to my local post office yesterday and item was not there
Well, misdirected item is usually one explanation but I want to safely assume that that possibility is rare, most especially if your address had always correctly had deliveries. At least personally in all the years I've shipped on AE, I haven't witnessed one case of my item sent to another state. I've got my items missed in transit, but not one that is TRULY shipped to me (and my address) showing up at another destination.

I usually assume the not so convenient situation in this instance, and that is a dishonest seller. This is because twice this year, I've had similar experiences. Though in those ones, the tracking ended at "item delivered", which implied that some buyer took delivery of the item.

First was February this year, EMS shipping which showed destination to Nigeria alright. It even got to the central post office that supplies my locality. Two months ago at ease of lockdown, when I complained to the officer in charge of EMS and he went thru their records armed with the tracking number I provided, he said the item was meant for a town different from mine and that the real owner of the parcel had signed for it.

Suspiciously, when I wasn't called for the item at 50 days into BP and with "arrived destination" on tracking, I filed trade dispute and the seller did not even argue but agreed with my dispute for full refunds.

My inference: The seller did not even ship my own item in the first place. Coincidentally there was also a buyer of the same item in the vicinity of my locality, so it's just a matter of sharing the same tracking number with me giving me the impression that my item is headed my way. If I hadn't filed trade dispute, that seller will receive funds for services not rendered.

Second case was March this year. Two days after I placed the order, seller communicated with me that the item can only be shipped to my country with DHL and that I can pay a few more money. I was sore vexed and decided not to even honour the yeye guy with a reply.

Then I got "item shipped" notification and a tracking number provided. When I tracked it, the item had commenced transit 2 weeks before my own was claimed to have been shipped. At once I suspected foul play and filed for dispute quoting "item was shipped to wrong address" reason. The seller did not contest it and agreed to fill refunds.

Out of curiousity, I kept tracking the item and discovered it ended in Kaduna as "item delivered"

So you see that item you tracked to Oshogbo may actually truly be meant for a buyer in Oshogbo and the sler only shared that tracking number with you to give you the impression that your item is headed your way. If 70 days elapsed and did not file dispute, the money will be released to that fraudulent seller.

If you got an electric jolt while touching a battery terminal and the DC bus is running under 60v, this suggests that there is no earthing/grounding in place and/or the inverter is not connected to earth/ground.

Typically cheap inverters have poor isolation in the internal components and some current leakage occurs and can manifest as slight to severe electric jolts when you touch the metallic chassis or screws used to hold the inverter together or the battery terminals. Proper earthing usually masks the problem by giving the fault currents a lower resistance path to go to.
@ Bolded. You're absolutely correct. It's 48 volt system and I don't think the inverter has earthing. My own inverter has a scr3w point on the casing for earth wire and it came bundled with the special wire to use for the scr3w point.

I'll instruct the guy to check continuity between the building wirings to check for shorts. I believe all appliances should be unplugged from all sockets and heater fuses switched off at the Distribution Box before commencing this trouble shooting.

Thanks for the wonderful inputs.

Posting with the alternate profile. SpamBot went on overdrive again when I posted this response. Maybe it's my use of the word "scr3w" in it's unaltered form.

Meanwhile upon arrival in Lagos, UPS in SACHO branch sent me a notification email concerning the item. A "handling fee" of 6,698 naira for a 3kg item that costs 59k on AE. The item is said to be 3kg weight.
