PoliticsSouth East Governors Should Stop Embarrassing Themselves! by ceaz4r(op): 7:07am On Oct 15, 2018
What is all this talk about South East Governors saying they were not consulted before ATIKU picked Peter OBI as his running mate for the presidential election?

ATIKU has come with a clear vision of positively repositioning Nigeria POLITICALLY and ECONOMICALLY. He saw OBI as the man who fits perfectly well into the mould of a man who possesses all the attributes that will enable him achieve his presidential objectives; and chose him as his Running Mate; a combination that many have described as MASTER STROKE!

Come to think of it: Obi has intimidating Credentials in Academics; in National and International Economics; in Administration; in International Relations, and what have you. Obi is youthful and has the Charisma.

It is most embarrassing that while respectable personalities throughout Nigeria and beyond have hailed Atiku's choice of Obi as his Running Mate, it is the South East Governors, of all people that are talking in discordant tones. Are they saying they are wiser than everyone else, or are they simply manifesting that SELFISH INTEREST that has remained the bane of Nigerian Politics?

May the South East Governors be informed unequivocally, that we the masses of the South East Zone, and the rest of well-meaning Nigerians have already endorsed PETER OBI as ATIKU'S befitting running mate. That decision is cast in iron, irrespective of the Governors so-called consultations.
PoliticsPresidential And Governorship Debates Should Be Made Compulsory. by ceaz4r(op): 9:21pm On Sep 24, 2018
From the experiences of the Populace in the 2015 General Elections, it has become VERY Neccessary for NASS to pass a BIL making pre election Presidential and Governorship Debates COMPULSRY 4 ALL aspirants. Yes it's good to make Promises to win the support of the electorate, but it's A LOT MORE important for the Aspirants to state EXACTLY HOW dey intend to ACTUALISE their Promises, especially in terms of FUNDING and EXECUTION. That's one sure way voters can ASSESS the potentials / administrative Competence of the aspirants; Before DECIDING on whom to vote for. A situaction where MOUTH WATERING promises are made Before elections and EXCUSSES are made AFTER elections for failing to fulfill such promises is one condemnable way of taking the electorate for granted. The 2015 generelal election campaign is a clear case in point. Once beaten, they say, twice shy.

https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2018/08/23/again-ekweremadu-canvasses-six-year-single-term-for-president-govs/amp/
The single term or 5 or 6 years, to me is even more dangerous! I say this because, when they know they have just 1 term to serve in office, they will have nothing at stake, hence be more reckless and every other very negative tendencies they exhibit while in office.

I would rather suggest the terms be reduced to 3 years per term as against the 4 year terms. They can still have their 2 terms. So that the 2 terms will now total 6 years instead of 8 years. This way, hoping to secure another term in office will put them in check of their excesses somewhat. Should they then secure a second term and start acting typical of Nigerian politicians in elected offices, then we know we have just 3 years to contend with their hopelessness.

Biafra was an igbo only affair, so why did Ojukwu and his rag tag army march towards South West instead of North?
Moreover the other minority tribes in the then Eastern region didn't support biafra. They made it clear they would rather remain Nigerians than be subjected to slavery under Igbos.

Or you expected Awo and Adekunle to fold their arms while Ojukwu and his minions enslave Yorubas?
You expected us to keep feeding you so you'll have the energy to kill us?

If atal you're serious about biafra, you'll head home to develop your 5 SE states and then push for referendum. Ranting online won't change anything.
...and your mind didn't tell you those "rag tag" Biafran army as you choose to refer to them that held your supper Nigerian army for 3 years were heading to the seat of power that was in the West of Nigeria then?
Politics"The Consequences Of Betrayal” by ceaz4r(op): 11:49am On Jan 19, 2018
“BIAFRA: The Consequences of Betrayal”

In the heat of the Nigeria-Biafra War, there was a Rhetorical Question Biafrans used to sing, like a song. It went thus: Is there anyone that will gain, if the Hausa/Fulani win? Why is it that each time Odumegu Ojukwu finishes working out his strategic plans, some people decide to sabbotage him? No one whatsoever will gain anything if the Hausa/Fulanis win” That was the song! Today, the singers have been vindictated. A few examples will surfice:

1. S/East Ibos have the LEAST number of states in Nigeria. They are the most marginalised in terms of Federal appointments, and infrastructural development.

2. The S/South zone lost Bakassi to Cameroon for supporting Nigeria.  80% of the Oil-wells in the zone are owned by the Hausa/Fulani that they supported, and bear the brunt of environmental pollution from oil operations. Issac Boro and Ken-Saro Wiwa also paid their dues.

3. Brigadier Benjamin Adekunle of the S/West who led Nigeria’s 3rd Marine Commando to Blockade Biafra economically was DISMISSED from the Nigerian Army that he suffered for.

Awolowo who led the Yorubas to team up with the Hausa/Fulani against the Biafrans did not get the Presidency the north promised him for doing so. In frustration, he comitted suicide with N20 worth of RAT POISON; representing the twenty pounds he gave to Biafrans in 1970 as Finance Minister.

4. The Benue-Plateau people who formed the Backbone of the Nigerian Armed-Forces against Biafrans have been getting their Pay-back from the Hausa/Fulani. Majority of their key-officers in that war have been sidelined into oblivium. Their several attempts at Military-Coups were met with humilating defeats. Even their son GOWON who led Nigeria in that war against Biafra was ignominously booted out of office in a military coup by the same officers he commanded in his Anti-Biafra campaign.

For long now, people of that same zone, particularly the Benue-Plateau axis have been suffering from the Hausa/Fulani-Led genocide which they helped to perpetrate against Biafrans. Cases of being used and dumped. Currently, Prof. L. Mohammed of Northwest University, Kano has stated in a public lecture in Kano that Benue State BELONGS to the Fulanis by RIGHT OF CONQUEST!! The list is endless.

What a PROPHETIC Song by the Biafrans in those War-Days! What an IRONY of hisory!
PoliticsRe: Biafra: Kanu Blows Hot In Fresh Interview, Blasts Jonathan, Yorubas by ceaz4r(m): 9:51pm On Oct 26, 2017
Whoever wrote this tried, but this is not Nnamdi Kanu.

Few reasons:
1. Kanu will never betray his hiding place, were he hiding. More especially, he will never betray those who have given him sanctuary.

2. It is gross insincerity and insensitivity to say NOBODY died in that recent shameful act by the Nigerian Military in Abia State, because there was mass killing of unarmed civilians. So how would Kanu, (according to this write-up) say nobody was killed in the Operation Python Dance II?

2. The Boycott on Anambra state elections have not been called off. It is so ridiculous to even say he has a candidate he supports and wishes the said candidate to be given support.

3. The position of IPOB on any issue can be made public directly by Kanu or his deputy, Emma Powerful.

4. Members of Biafra Security Outfits are not armed.

Need I go on?
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Army Free Vaccination And Avoidable Uproar In Anambra State by ceaz4r(m): 9:59pm On Oct 11, 2017
olabisimichael:
It is important that people understand that military is not always about gun blazing and show of force. The military the world over is imbued with the part that engages in military humanitarian assistance for people. Military is not only about battlefield. Military globally are known as humanitarians and First Responders in crisis situation

The Nigerian Army medical intervention in Anambra state is
another unfortunate yet avoidable crisis if the army high
command had observed basic communication model of
involving opinion leaders in the designated communities
and schools! .

It is called Two-Step flow in development parlance! This is
the use of Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), originated from the
studies of influence in the 1940s by communication theorist,
who was cynical about how much the mass media directly
shaped the
public’s views.

He and his students established that, in some areas, people
changed their views and preferences more because of
trusted figures in their community or their networks or in
trusted opinion personalities more than the forces of mass
media advertising which can be deceptive and
embellishment of values!

No doubt, the Nigerian Army vaccination/medical outreach
would not have generated the uproar that dogged it had the
basic communication model of getting key opinion leaders
involved, prep them on the sincerity of the advocacy and
create a favorable communication outpost for the
communities who hitherto have unfriendly perception about
anything in Army Uniform!

I will not blame ignorance on the part of the parents,
schools and communities neither will I blame the parents
that took their children/wards and prevented them from
being vaccinated! I will blame the military for not doing a
professional job of engaging the community and earning
their trust before extending medical assistance to these
communities!
Yeah yeah.. they can start from the north. We don't need them here in the East. OP, if you so care for the inoculation, you can invite them to your community.

Suddenly, The Federal Government now has a project/Program for the South East. There is now fund for such, but there will be no fund for the Second Niger Bridge or for the Eastern Rail Line.

OPERATION PYTHON DANCE, A COLOSSAL FAILURE.

See Why:
1.) They went out to pick up N/Kanu, Dead or Alive. The Dancers could not place a finger on him.

2.) They declared IPOB a Terrorist Organisation. Intellectuals and the International Community Disagreed. Buratai ate his words, and said IPOB is NOT a Terrorist Outfit.

3) They wanted to SCARE Biafrans to abandon their Struggle. IPOB said the Dance had even made them become MORE resolute in their Agitation.

4) The Dancers wanted Buhari to tell the UN that he has Successfully Crushed the Separatist Movement in Nigeria. IPOB did not oblige him. A great Shocker!

5) No wonder KANU Challenged the Dances earlier to try to defeat him with SUPERIOR argument, not with AK 47.
What a war of BRAIN against MIGHT!!

The thing is you're just like the smoke, wherever the wind blows you, there your opinion go. IPOB IS NOT A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION!! As for violence, everyone has the potential for violence, even the most gentle of men. You just need to push the right button or stroke the right cord and the dance of Violence starts.

Tell your government to organise a referendum is all we ask. If more people from the Igbo extraction still wants to remain in Nigeria after the referendum, we will stay back.
Tell your government to stop visiting protesting and agitating groups with violence or it shall blow back in her face. ...Word of advice.

Aba has been on fire since this Afternoon, right now we are under a curfew that started by 6pm this Evening. I was in my room this afternoon when I heard people shouting,I ran out of the balcony to know what was wrong and saw people running in fear. I had to put on something and rush downstairs to know what was wrong, when I heard gunshots and more screams,I asked a stranger what was wrong, she said that Ariaria market had been shut down and they were killing any Hausa person in sight.

I was scared and started dialing my mum's number, she wasn't picking so I was frantic,my only family(my parents) were not home yet. I made up my mind to run to her shop to make sure she was safe,I hadn't gone far when I saw some army officials shooting sporadically and people were running back to the direction I was coming from. I had to join in the race to head back home. I sighted he Hausa man who had helped me sew my slippers yesterday begging for his life as my Igbo brothers tried to set him on fire,He ran into someone's car still begging, they started pouring fuel on the car and tried to light it up. The car owner refused to give up the Hausa man so he too was going to be burnt alive for trying to save a life,he drove off speedily and almost knocked one of the predators down. I sighed,at least another human with a conscience.

My street is like a ghost town, shops owners have closed and gone home. Today I knew what real fear felt like, today I saw a human beg his fellow humans not to kill him. My fellow igbos, please we don't want war. This whole Biafra thing is turning into something else,if a war begins,Nnamdi Kanu has enough money and resources to fly himself and his family abroad. While most of you fighting for him are struggling to even afford one square meal in a day.

Today I cried cos I felt what it would be like if a war begins,my family wouldn't be with me and we might not return to each other cos we ran separate ways

Say no to war.

It is unfortunate things are degenerating. But it is annoying when folks like you condemn The Smoke for smoking but will not bother or make any effort to find out what the source of the smoke is, and put it out. As long as that thing causing that smoke is still there, the smoke will NEVER go out. Continu to ignore it, and it will bust into flames just in time. Your choice.

PoliticsAgitation For Biafra Restoration, A Great Favor To Nigeria. by ceaz4r(op): 6:32am On Sep 11, 2017
It is no longer news that Igbos lost all the money they had in banks before the civil war.At the end of the war, those who had money in the banks were given only twenty (£20) to start life with, while others were left penniless. They lost out also in the Indigenization policy of Nigeria.
Today, 50 years on, the Igbos have risen from the 0-£20 initial capital investment in 1970, to achieve great heights in Education; Real Estate development; Importation and Export Businesses; Manufacturing; Transportation; Wholesale trading, etc.
In geographical spread, the greatly depopulated Igbos of the Civil genocide atrocities, have grown in population to reside and establish themselves in every nook and crany of Nigeria.
The questions now are, if the Igbos could start from 0-£20 INITIAL CAPITAL to achieve all this meteoric rise within 50 years; now that they have financial-capitals running in Millions and Billions of Naira and other Currencies, has anybody stopped to ask how far the Igbos will go in the next 20-30 years? Has it occurred to anyone that in the next 50 years, the Igbo will literally SUFFOCATE Nigerians and buy up the whole country?
Is it not, therefore, a great favour that the Igbos and their immediate neighbors are agitating to opt out and have their own Country of BIAFRA; so that Nigerian can have some breathing space; and be FREE from the IGBO DOMINATION which everybody is shouting about? Think about it.
