...and when the talk of Islamising the country comes up, some people will be asking how possble that is. These actions of the northerners against the Christains or the Norther minorities are calculated. They are testing the waters. The worst disservice any southerner will do to himself is to sit and spread out legs and hands and say 'nothing is harpening'. |

"He said the ministry would begin formlisation of illegal miners into a structure to enable them to earn their livelihood in a safe environment and according to the world standard . “We want them to form a cooperative to enable us to give them a structure that the ministry can work with and anybody that refuses to be part of the structure will face the law. “We are not going to allow illegal mining to continue; we will bring it to an end; we are not depriving them, but we want to meet up with the Mining Act of 2007,” he said. He promised that the Federal Government would devise means of assisting them with necessary equipment and financial support among others. " Why can't this be done in the Niger Delta too. Why are the illegal refneries burnt/destroyed, even in a situation the nation can not even refine petroleum? The North has been mining natural resourses illegally for decades. When same is done in the Niger Delta, it becomes a National Crime and must be dealt with. Imagine the jobs this can create and the multiplier effects this can bring if such support stated by the Minister to be given illegal miners in the North is also given the illegal refinaries in the South South. If this helps cut down on importation of petroleum products by up to 50%, Imagine the exchange rate problem this would have helped solve. Talkng about having lastng Peace in the Niger Delta, and Nigeria at large, will this approach not have a significant effect in achieving that and also make Niger Deltans feel that sense of belonging? The benefits continues. |
Obiagelli:How come this 'insecurity' didn't stop petroleum activities in that same region the way it 'affected' port activites? How come other businesses, especially individual businesses, still trive there in the Niger Delta? Please enlighten us. |
hopilo:Is it not when you patronise them they will get money from their profit to purhase the machines/tools to give you the finishing you need? |
In 2015, Northern spokes men ruled that All Northern states through which Oil Pipelines passed must share from the money given to Niger Delta for Environmental Damage. This year, Bala Usman has stated that the North owns the Niger Delta. These are the same people who say the Igbos want to re-colonise the Niger Delta. So which people have actually COLONIZED the Niger Delta? |
A cool way to fight corruption insofar as same cup is served every culprit irrespective of Party affiliations, tribe, and otherwise. |
wow..! Mynd44, you put this message so correctly!! For a Mod who never lets any post about Biafra survive, this is rather surprising. I used to have this bile directed at you because of that, now I'm veiwing you from another perspective. I agree with up to 98 percent of what you wrote there. Now, how some people see this post as anti Igbo is confusing. More of this!! |
fitzmayowa:Oh' the 'Change' is quite glaring! Is a negative change. |
FirstCounsel:My bad.. No vex. Oya take 2 chilled bottles of Origin for my name. Happy Sunday, bruv. |
FirstCounsel:Where were you when their ranks were restored them by the Govt.? Odimegwu Ojukwu (GOD Bless his Soul) answered Col. Odimegwu Ojukwu throughout the war, but he was the Commanding General of the Biafran Army. Does that mean he was not a General? Late Col. Gadafi answered a Colonel till death, does that mean he was not a General? Bringing it into the Education Sector, have you not seen where a Professor chooses to be called Dr.? As in: Dr Emeka James (PhD), Professor of Geo-Physics? # Some people just come here to expose their shallowness!! |
Pavore9:You put it well, bro! Only that we're being governed by block heads who knows next to nothing about smart reasoning and thinking out of the box. |
segzicres:Your reasoning is shallow! You know nothing about health issues and safe practices. I guess you've never heard the word 'Family Planning' also. |
espn:Atleast he is working and commissioning. Appreciate that!! |
Khd95:Loot and we destroy you! |
asadike:Exactly!! Don't mind respondents up there asking why FFK chose to react to the article written by SLS many years ago as if the time of respose makes the information in the article less correct. |
Placing a ban on Biafra related topics does not stop a thing. If this continues, then be ready for multiple posts. When a topic is posted here and it is closed or deleted, as many as those who read the post before it was closed should create another thread and post the same information. Imagine where the Mod deletes one post and next thing you see 7 new posts of same topic!! Place a ban on a nairalander and he creates 10 new identities! Let's see who gets tired. I suggest whoever reads a topic should copy and save it. The link to the information should be saved also. |
