Foreign Affairs › Re: Russia Vs Ukraine: The Lies, Misinformation And Outright Propaganda (Fact Check) by ceejayluv(m): 6:31pm On Mar 05, 2022 |
QueTeddy: Japan and Russia were cohorts in the war where US bombed Japan twice, with nuclear bombs. They didn't try that on Russia and two other things to note, first, then Japan was retreating, secondly Japan contemplated using bioweapons against US but didn't as they felt it was way too far.
Plus, most seem to forget that countries are very prone to wars, major wars. Given that it hasn't happened in recent times doesn't meant it something to be forgotten easily. The extent war causes damage to a country and how strategically footed soldiers are placed matters a lot. If Ukraine has a NATO base, which is sure to include battalions and maybe nuclear warheads, if any war breaks out, Russia would be out of the picture easily. Japan and Russia were not cohorts during WW2 abeg. |

With high exchange rate and high import bills, imported goods prices skyrocket. The higher costs of machinery, raw materials, etc. Are passed down to the consumers who in turn raise prices of their goods/services to meet up with higher cost of living. That's just one angle of the crisis though |

WoundedLamb: What is I see in that cage looks more like a breed of the common racoon (Procyon Lotor as seen in the picture below).
You are absolutely right. However, that they aren't native to Africa does not mean they can't be found in Africa at all. An animal (or plant) is said to be native to a location if they originated, breed or thrive naturally there without human intervention. But then again, humans can introduce an animal to a new location and in some cases (not all), the animal could adapt to the location by undergoing certain lifestyle changes (diet, sound, breeding season, etc.).
I don't know why NL blame western media for everything including basic animal science as if there are no animals native to Africa only. Yet these guys go to school to study these things. You've said it all. The pic isn't even clear enough to confirm it's an actual raccoon. |
