Hey guys,please I need your response. I have registered for the next GRE which is built for February. I want to know how long it takes for WES to evaluate results? I have a B.Sc but the CGPA isn't too good,but I just finished a PGD where I had 3.87/5.00. Please during evaluation,should I send both transcripts for evaluation? Secondly,do I apply for my current CGPA or I should apply when its been evaluated yet? Will appreciate your replies.

Have no fear, Mailing your school for confirmation is a required step in getting your transcript verified.

took GRE at JKK yesterday. V152 : Q149, Agg:301. Though, it could have been better, but no more time for preparation. thankful to God it isn't bad and i can advance to the next stage. GRE humbled people yesterday at JKK ehn that some refused to leave the centre. So pathetic.

Wrote the GRE today @ Global Learning Institute, Abuja.

I actually started prep February using Baron but wasn't serious.
I dropped the book after a week but resumed prep in August(not consistent tho).
Read baron up to 3 times.
Used magoosh videos too very helpful.
Official ETS was also useful to some extent but I couldn't do any practice test and I think it affected me a lot.
Was really banking on QA but the story was different.
I checked out power prep a day to exam and I had 153 in QA 145 in VA.
I knew I had a long way to go.
EXAM EXPERIENCE
I didn't eat breakfast o.
we were checked in by 9:50am.
The issue task was great but I got lost in the argument.
First verbal and QA were medium. I think I got almost all the QA. Second verbal and QA were so hard that I felt like crying. Experimental section was Verbal.
Final score V 146 Q 154
Not great but I thank God.
I had a cgpa of 3.24/4 and I have a journal to my name.
Gunning for MSC in chemistry @ MSU, ETSU and UNH

Good morning, wonderful people. My scores just came in.
Paper-based test. I took it a month ago, November 7th in Benin.

Verbal Reasoning : 157/170 - - 74th percentile
Quantitative Reasoning : 157/170 - - 68th percentile
Analytical Writing Assessment : 5.5/6.0 - - 98th percentile.

Lessons learnt. I'm happy to share them with you, as soon as I can settle down to write.

Thanks to God. I appreciate how helpful this thread has been, Danjaninja, SirRiddy et al, you make sense!

To you, yet to write, go for your dreams. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

By the way, I added a year to my age yesterday.

Replying of verification depends on your school,. Some school do respond back to WES through email while some mail a wriiten response back to WES. So, figure it out which one will be faster, and which method does your school use in replying WES. The fact is, the status on your profile will change on WES portal as soon as they receive the response from your school.

My Advice: Stay on the neck of anyone that works in your school record office. You can as well tip him/her to be checking and updating you about your stuff..

Tip: if you ain't good with maths. start with barron, solve every question you see then move to the official GRE text. For verbal and writing us magoosh and the official GRE Text.
But personally learning all the vocab wldnt help. don't depend on it.
My experience : wroke at JKK in lagos, started with issue task, baba don write 15mins b4 I realise I mis-read the topic, sha rugged d remaining 15mins write sometin, argument task was cool tho., next Verbal, I never see verbal wey hard like ds b4. a lot harder than barron n magoosh (my opinion). study GRE frequent word list. na just 2 I see... guessed for most. twas hard. Quant : Quant was a lot cool. 1st was good. the 2nd was harder. guessed the ones that took time.
Prepare for the Quant well, am not rili a verbal person. but don't be scared if the questions comes hard. I sha dey do all dey go. VQVQV
Result : V- 147. Q-160. total 307.

Your billing address is the address you used for opening your Nigerian bank account. Use that address. If you still have problems, contact your bank to show you the format for filling the address online.

I had similar issues at a time. Had to go to the bank to get the correct format for filling the address section online.


Update: if you are using Gtbank and you have a current and savings account, please note that all online transactions would be billed to your current account. So,ensure you have sufficient funds in your current account.

Am not really sure about the IELTS, so i cant really make any contribution regarding the IELTS. That said, i believe the IELTS has a grading scheme capable of showing one's proficiency with english. Whatever you do, make the highest permissible score you can. It always helps.

As for TOEFL speaking score requirements for TA, all i can say is every school has its own requirements. Some might require a minimum cut
off score, while others simply dont care. Wnat i will advise you or anyone else to do is simply check with your school to find the requirements.

Just a suggestion...check to ensure that you have sufficient balance on the card/acct. I also had similar problem; thought it was the address...changed and rechanged several times but to no avail, until my friend checked his acct balance. It was only the money I sent to his acct that was there and u knw there are surcharges aside the actual amount you want to pay.

Help you pay with their cards or yours? That should not be. Anyways, here is the thing, try to make sure that the address you used to open your bank account tallies with what you filled on the school's online application. I think this should solve it. Let's know what happened after this.

But I honestly believe your friends should be able to use their US-issued cards to help you out.

Finally took the nerve to pick a date for my test. It's Nov 15. God!!! Can't say where I stand right now, but I had to pick a date this close to enable me quadruple study pace. Someone please help me out with the magoosh video. 42,900 no be joke o. Biko!!!
