Where in the world does a company sack 3000 workers and the govt turns a blind eye? let alone that the sacked employees are to be replaced by foreigners,

Investors are invited to come into the country but not at the detriment of the citizens,  They are to create jobs and not take out the jobs that rarely exist,  In addition, have heard about the treatment indians meet out to Nigerians? It is not something to be proud of at all,  Lets give the govt thumbs up for this action,

What is the purpose of development if it does not benefit the citizens? Attracting foreign investors is good, ensuring that they abide by the rules of the game is another. How on earth will a single establishment sack 3000 of its workers within a space of one month in a country with a very high rate of unemployment? The action of Airtel is unacceptable and i commend the labour union for being proactive.

I kinda like the consistency across all Aptech centres.

Some NIIT centres are razz.

To me, its like comparing Bells to OSU. To me!

Well, both are reputable IT training centres.

The only problem with NIIT is that most of their lecturers tend to read text books in class rather than practicals.

I have not been to Aptech but i am sure NIIT seems to be more recognised in the IT education biz more than Aptech, maybe due to their track records.

NIIT books are among the best, if not the best, you can get in any IT training centre. Though NIIT is quite expensive but i will still recommend it.

Even the name is well pronounced in the IT community.

NIIT also has good learning environment and resources.

Though the lecturers can be boring sometimes, but most still know their onions.

What is going on in these private universities? Is this a marketing strategy or what?

A 19-year-old girl, Ayomide Abiodun Oluwadare, from the Department of Mathematical Sciences, has emerged the best graduating student of the Redeemer’s University, Ogun State, with the cumulative grade point average of 4.96.

Oluwadare, with registration number RUN07-08/1413, was among the 21 graduating students of the university that made First Class Honours at the 2011 convocation ceremony, held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God Youth Centre, Redemption City, Ogun State, at the weekend. Oluwadare, who was named Ayomide (My joy has come) by her father, Gabriel, brought joy to her entire family, as she smiled home with eight coveted prizes, including the cash prize of N50,000 for the best overall graduating students from the Visitor of the university, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

The newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Zachariah Adeyewa, said the institution has become a pacesetter as evidenced by the quality of its graduates. He said the university has continued to provide scholarship to numerous students in her bid to promote quality education. Aside the 21 students that made First Class, Adeyewa said 141 others hit the ground as missed the graduation ceremony. According to him, 16 of them were expelled while 91 others failed to pass their courses and had to repeat classes at various levels of their studies.

“We are happy to note that the female students have continued to excel more than the male counterparts. In the last two years, the best graduating student has always been a female. This year is not an exception, as we celebrate Miss Ayomide Oluwadare for emerging the best graduating student”, he said.

Adeyewa said 23 of the best graduates of the university were appointed as Graduate Assistants, from where they would be sponsored for their Masters and Doctoral degree programmes. “It is hoped that our alumni will form the bedrock of staff that would help to uphold the traditions of honesty, integrity and excellence in the nearest future,” he added.

Also speaking, the Visitor to the university and General Overseer, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, charged the graduating students not to leave the university with only a certificate but the anointing and knowledge of God.
“We have taught you in Redeemer’s University to the best of our ability. We have not only taught you circularly but also spiritually…if you know that the reason I keep praying is because it is not enough to succeed. You need help to keep succeeding. If you follow that pattern, each time we hear from you, it will be good news. When you come face to face with the realities of life, just remember what we have taught you”, he said.
