ANG OF 5 RAPISTS – ABIA STATE UNIVERSITY (ABSU) - AN UPDATE

I have taken the decision to provide the details of 3 of the 5 ALLEGED, and I repeat, ALLEGED Abia State University Gang of 5 rapists.

1. Ifeanyi Ogu Justin

2. Jonah Uche (final yr or extra yr accountancy).

3. Zaki ( Duberville Lodge ABSU)

These names have been identified as SUSPECTS only and it is for the APPROPRIATE AUTHORITIES to take these names as leads….abi?

I am on my knees right now praying this indeed happens…….

Better still, these students may as well eliminate themselves by reporting to the nearest POLICE STATIONS to them……

Cries from NIGERIANS to do it the WESTERN WAY, the CIVILISED WAY……right……like we have been doing since independence huh……?

so how do you expect them to start investigation?
the crime was not reported in abia
no one knows for sure it took place anywhere in abia state
and you want a poorly funded police force to expend their resources on a crime they don't know for sure happened in their state?

you should stop displaying your idiocy on a public forum - a lot of people are reading!

i doubt anyone has defended the act the boys committed. it was beyond depraved.
but the crux of the matter is was that real or fake? has it been reported or not?
where is the victim?
where are the offenders?

without those details? how would a poorly funded abia state police proceed with the investigation that might have happened in lagos state?

then go and lend your celestial brain power to the abia state and help catch the offenders.
since you maintain you know for certain the video is real, abia state police command needs you.
You are deluded. Who is to report the incident? The victim or the despoiler? How many violation victims have reported to the police and how will that stop the case being investigated? If it were your mother would you ask if the video was real or fake? So, because no one has reported the case the police should not investigate that, even when the video is everywhere in the internet?

i only pointed to you the video could have been a hoax!

you questioned my stance and i told you years of watching crime shows have told me not to believe everything line, hook and sinker.
i deal with each case individually. i have seen wives murder their husbands but claimed invaders forced their way in and committed the crime, etc.

so if i see a video like that with so many loose ends and inconclusive bullshyte. . . .i just don't join the popular bandwagon!
i apply my common sense.

for all you know, that incident might have happened in another state like 8 yrs ago.
who knows for sure? so how do you then expect abia state commissioner to investigate an unreported crime with no crime scene?
Have you come here again to display your congealed brain? I mean what have you been smoking lately? A young girl was gang raped a few weeks ago and you are here talking crap. what is not real about the video, the girl or the guys? A few Absu students had already confirmed that this video was circulated in their school and the girl question is a student. The problem is that nobody wants to come out to point fingers at the culprits for fear of being attacked. Is it not the duty of the security outfit to carry out investigations in order to confirm the veracity of the claims? There are so many clues to this, the lady actually mentioned some names and the guys claimed to be students also. Why can't the police begin from there?

Jarus:
First, the north-dominated recruitment thing is another fabrication like the re-introduction of arabic letter lie.
I have explored the website but did not see the list.
As for the secrecy thing, I don't know what is secret in an employment process that was advertised, well discussed online including on NL here, and even handled by an external consulting firm, Philips Consulting I think.  Perhaps you want CBN to publicize stage-by-stage process of how the whole exercise was going, that is what will make it open. And I don't know any company, including private sector, that does that. Oh, sorry it's Sanusi, CBN must publish each and every stage and people that made it before it is open and transparent!!!

Sure, I cannot rule out some who-you-know in the whole process, but is that not the case in virtually every establishment, especially public sector? To hold SLS responsible for that, when you don't have any concrete proof that he specifically ordered that so so person should be given the job, is most ridiculous.
CBN conducted two recruitment exercises this year, one was around january and the other around April. That of Jan was well publicised, however, that of April and the interviews that followed was never advertised. After the interview and the entire selection process, a list of successful candidates were submitted to Sanusi for final approval. This he rejected and subsequently directed that the candidates from the North be given consideration on the note that Northern states were not adequately represented at the CBN. This led to the withdrawal of most southern candidates whose names were previously on the list. Again, don't ask me of the source. For sure these things are not made public, only an insider will have access to such details.

My reference to the CBN website was for the data on CBN staff strength and not the names of shortlisted candidates. if you check you will notice that there is a significant increase in the number of CBN staffs in the last few months. I doubt if CBN will ever publish the names of their staffs online.

Islamic banking is operational in many islamic and non islamic states. In the case of non  islmamic states you will hardly notice the governor of the central bank giving undue attention/promotion to the islamic banks. They have only allowed the operation of islamic finance and regulates them according. No personal interest. In the case of Nigeria, which is also a non Islamic country(unless sanusi thinks otherwise) the CBN governor was the sole promoter. Sanusi made so many baseless arguments just to paint the islamic banking white. He once said that the Anambra state govt was the first to access the islmamic banking credit line. Swiftly the govt of the state refuted that and demanded an apology. Sanusi also claimed that many heads of the haiz bank are from the Igbo extraction why in reality all those things are drama. In fact, must they be Igbo or does he think the Igbos are his problem? Why can't they be Christains from the north or west?

Sanusi sounded as if the islamic banking is the panacea to our economic woes. I happen to live in a country where islamic banking is fully operational and i can tell you that what is powering the economy of the country is not islamic bank, rather oil and western banks. Those who claim that the islamic banks are the best form of banking should provide us with empirical evidence of an economy transformed by the islamic banks. Please don't quote me the assets and size of the islamic banks.
PoliticsRe: Sanusi For President In 2015? by chamber2(m): 3:31pm On Sep 21, 2011
The fact is, SLS as a human is not without blame.  In the course of his professional and religious quest he may have made some mistakes, and I am sure Sanusi himself will not deny that. So, we should try not to decorate him with a saintly gown and present him as someone unblemish.

On the employment issue, obviously many southerners were not offered employment in the last ''secret'' recruitment exercise done by the CBN. I know a Snr manager in the CBN and few other staffs, so my facts are straight. Also, if you check CBN website you will notice clearly the movements of staff number in the last few months. First, there was a recent retirement and promotion exercise followed by the recruitment. All these things are there on the CBN website. However, Sanusi's thinking in favouring the North in this recent recruitment is that, according him, the north is not well represented at the CBN in line with the federal character principle. I am yet to ascertain the authenticity of his claim. But if that is the case i wonder if Sanusi is the appropriate person to handle such. Also, according to the CBN policy on recruitment all vacancies are supposed to be published in the dailies, unless on highly technical positions like the CBN governor and the likes. However, the last recruitment where about 400 people were employed was done secretly and on ''i know you'' basis under the watchful and saintly eyes of Sanusi. Is sanusi not aware of CBN recruitment policy, especially such mass employment exercise?

On the issue of ethnicity and religion, almost all Nigerians are guilty of that. Sanusi is therefore not an exemption and any attempt to exonerate him of religious and ethnic bigotry is an exercise in futility. However, just as i identified earlier, there are people who can't be Nigerian president, irrespective of their religious and ethnic dispositions. People like Odimegwu Ojukwu, Orji Uzor Kalu etc and Sanusi happens to fall under this group. These are men with extreme ethnic and religious mentality. They are more or less fundamentalists. So, they are out of the equation.

So many lies have been told about the introduction of the Islamic banking. So many lies, both by sanusi and the rest. Soludo never introduced Islamic banking. I challenge Sanusi to produce official documents/memo crediting that to soludo. Soludo only initiated the idea of non interest banking/finance which islamic banking is only but one of them. Saying that soludo introduced islamic banking amounts to pure malapropism. There are various forms of non interest finance in Nigerian and the whole idea was to develop this untapped segment of our economy.

Islamic banking on its own is not a bad idea. The only problem with Islamic banking in Nigeria is in its promoters. They made it to appear as if there was something more to it, and before you say Jack the entire system became tensed. proper timing and implementation is an important aspect of every policy thrust. Both the timing and implementation framework of the islamic banking was done wrongly. Firstly, Sanusi overestimated Nigerians and failed to offer proper enlightenment programmes. There was little or no enlightenment, knowing fully well that Nigeria is a multi religious country. secondly, he became both the regulator and the promoter.Haba! If this thing will favour all Nigerians why would sanusi have special interest? And thirdly, became boastful about it, asking opposing parties to go to court. Is this the right way to handle something that is supposed to benefit all Nigerians?

This is a very difficult situation. But i am very surprised at the harsh condition given by the school. You applied for admission, met the conditions and was offered a place and now you intend to defer your admission and the same school says you will have to satisfy a different condition. This is really harsh.

Well, am not familiar with the UK admission and immigration policy. But why didn't you apply for study leave before now? I think the best thing to do now is to discuss with your employer and see if you can be allowed to go before end of October.

I don't know the implication of not using your visa now, bearing in mind that you have been denied before. And based on present employment situation it will be very hard to advise you to resign from you job.

Sanusi as CBN governor is a mistake that Nigeria will take years to recover from. Sanusi as President will be the end of Nigeria as we know it. Jarus and Co that are defending him should get people that really know the guy and stop quoting based on a few things you read in the papers or where ever. Sanusi is a bigot that went on an employment spree of people from his state (Kano) on appointment as the CBN governor ignoring all forms of Federal character even to the extent that fellow northerners not from Kano state were also complaining. And for those of you that say his Deputy Governors defend him in public. Are you silly or what? Do you expect them to criticize him in public? In Nigeria? Are you naturally dumb or is it an acquired dumbness? So you expect them to pour sand sand in the place their gari comes from? And contrary to the Corporate governance being preached to the banks about the Chairman and MD not being the same person, the governor of CBN is the most powerful person on the board and so gets what he wants. How many times have you seen the Chairman/Governor of the Federal Reserve of USA or FSA in the UK go on air to destroy banks they are supposed to manage and send them down the drain? Even when banks commit crimes as almost all banks do world wide, they find a way to manage it while punishing those guilty of such crimes but this one just goes about it like a bull in a china shop. Abeg make una no mention Sanusi and President in the same vein. The guy don employ all them Senator and Emir pikin finish for CBN without following due process. When was the last time you saw an advert in the papers from CBN advertising vacancies? And yet the man dey employ him brothers go as if tomorrow no dey through back door. Jarus, you never see mentor o. Make u find better mentor go forward. So fvcking annoyed right now. AS a CBN governor, you are supposed to manage the economy to develop and not go down the drain as the ignorant mallam is doing.
In fact, this recent employment baffled me. About 400 people were employed in CBN within the last few months, all from the north. I know people will also claim that soludo did same. But that is a big lie.

Soludo couldn't even finish the CBN office that was started long ago in Anambra during his tenure.

I am Fulani. I am Muslim. But I am able to relate to every Nigerian as a fellow Nigerian and respect his ethnicity and his faith. I am also convinced that we tend to exaggerate our differences for selfish ends and this applies even to matters of faith.
I doubt he does. If actually he does he wouldn't have asked Christians to go to court if they are not satisfied with the idea of introducing Islamic banking in Nigeria. Someone who respects other people's faith would have provided a platform where the concerns of Christians regarding islamic banking would be addressed and also make provision so that their interest will be accommodated.

The concerns of members of other faith was never addressed but he resorted to cheap politics by granting licence to stanbic to operate islamic banking even when there is no legislative approval to that effect. He also said Anambra state was the first eastern state to access the credit facility of the islamic finance, and the govt of the state refuted that immediately and requested an apology from sanusi.

Who is deceiving each other now?

First of all, I neither speak nor understand Ibo, so maybe she said that, I am not sure.

That is not enough to prove violation. Some women Be Intimate with their clothes on all the time. It is just a matter of preference and comfort.  You dont have to be Unclad to have s3x. And you dont even have to do it lying down. People have s3x in clubs, in cars gan sef, with their clothes on and shoe paapaaa, all the time.

Five men against a girl, again not enough to prove r/a/p/e, the video shows two guys having s3x with her, one after the other, in a very slow and steady manner. We dont know if all five eventually had s3x with her. Until I see the whole video, I cant draw such conclusion. But I agree, the other three men, whether they eventually took their turn or not, if she was infact repeed, should be charged as well. That is if she was rap/ed/.

At one point she said; " I no dey try?" Why would she say that if she was not a willing participant. Seems like someone looking for validation for a job well done to me. Which is pretty common amongst girls with very low self esteem in situations like that.

Again, until we hear her side of the story, this is not a case of r/a/pe, at least not from what the 10 mins clip shows.
Exactly. One of the boys asked her to co operate or else her eyes will be tied and she said; ''i no dey try?'' Obviously, it's a case of very low self esteem.

Just as you said, this is just a 10 minute video and this probably may have happened for hours. So, it will be hard to draw conclusions now.

But whatever may be the case, those guys are animals.

So how do you prove violation when there was no forced entry? In the video, she was chatting with those guys it seems, and she was more concerned about getting back to her aunt;s shop than anything else.

It would be difficult for a lawyer to prove r/a//p/e. As disgusting as those guys were, all putting their dyycks in the same disgusting hole and doing their crap in the presence of the other guys in a very dirty place like that, with no shame, accusing them of r/a/p/e is a tall order. We dont know what transpired before and after, and how did she get into the room, doesnt seem like she was forced, and there were no panties involved.

The presence of condom tells me it was premeditated, not spontaneous. Meaning, there was some planning involved, elaborate, and the girl might have been involved in the planning. There was also some talk of money and dropping her back and what have you. I am calling shenanigan on this.

Dont get me wrong, r/a/p/e is a bad thing. And I will argue that it is pretty dumb Darwinian specimen who can't plant his seed without breaking the "vessel" in the process. But in this case, the worst you can accuse the guys off is aggressive and rough sex, which to my knowledge isnt a jail-able crime. And especially not a crime because the participant here, not a victim by any stretch, consented tacitly to the charade
Yeah, she seemed convinced force wouldn't be the best way to make them leave her, so she resorted to pleading. Her talking of going home was just a clue to make them have pity on her and let her go. Juts my thinking.

Obviously she was lured into that room or possibly kidnapped. Did you hear her say ''my daddy will give you guys any amount you want'' and one of the guys responded; ''we are not kidnappers.''

Also, most of her comments were made in Igbo language, and she constantly begged them to let her go or kill her. Maybe you don't understand Igbo language that was why you missed that part.

How else can we describe rape? her top was on, five men against a girl and it was so obvious she resented them. They threatened to tie her mouth and eyes if she shouted. What else?

My heart goes out to the girl. It is not enough to catch those guys, money should be given out only if and only if at least two of the r/a/p/i/s/t/s spend significant amount of time in jail.

That said, there is something about the girl that is off. She was not fighting back and at a point she said " I no dey try."

What the guys did was bad, but somehow I think the girl was a willing participant. The guys were rough with her, but did they actually r/a/p/e her?

@OYB, there is no point getting emotional.
She not screaming was the best thing to do. She would have been strangled if she had done that.Five men against a girl in a lonely neighborhood, who the bleep is she to scream. She need not fight back cos that would have caused her more pains and injuries.

slap1:
I'm in ABSU, and the version of this story that gained ground is a very distorted one, just like the video. The girl knew those guys very well, one of them is called Uchenna, and she had a sort of interaction with them while the thing progressed. Whoever needs the info should watch the video, use a part of the 200k to do a little work on it, then he'd have his men.
Alternatively, he can look for the girl, since her face showed in the video, and she's still alive.
. . . . He can also contact me, I can be of help, and could also use 200k. . .
Yeah, she did mention one of the guys, probably you knows them even before the incident.

BTW, she looks more of a sales girl than a student, though she kept saying her daddy would be ready to afford any amount the guys wanted.

You guys in Absu should do something urgently about this, it's not helping the image of your school at all.

Sanusi remains a bad candidate, it's not about ethnicity or religion

I have read a few of his articles and listened to most of his interviews

Someone who holds such radical/tribalistic views is not fit to be the president of any country.

He is always out to defend the north and muslims. (i hear someone say and so?) It means a lot as far as Nigerian unity is concerned

The way people like Orji Uzo Kalu can't be Nigerian president is still the same way sanusi can't be.

Orji uzo Kalu shares similar radical and ethnocentric mentality, such person is a bad market as far as Nigerian presidency is concerned

The same way people like Odimegwu Ojokwu can never rule Nigeria whether dead or alive is still the same way sanusi can't

I made this comparison so that those who think it's about religion or ethnicity will have a rethink

Let him consider the emirship or take a lecturership post in one of the universities after his tenure at the cbn

My problem with sanusi has been the way he handles  situations. He seems to be predisposed to emotions and sentiments.

However, i don't think sanusi can make a good president, sentiments aside.

He has done well for himself and has achieved what most of we young people desire to have. But that doesn't make him the most competent person to rule Nigeria.

I can never argue on the line of religion or ethnicity, after all i live in an islamic country and they are very accommodating.I don't just like the way sanusi does things, very impulsive and stoical.
