elampiro: I am scared with the way our top goalscorer is missing chances. I will be more forgiving if Chicharito missed those chances. I expect RVP to finish them off. He had this squandering tendencies last season but we were too carried away to notice.
You are kidding right?
Missing chances? You've based this on what? A couple of pre season games?
Which striker doesn't miss chances...on this tour alone - kagawa and Welbeck have missed the most chances.
Do you know how many chances Suarez missed last season yet he and RVP were neck and neck at the top of the goal scoring chart
Rooney misses and so does Chicha.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by chamotex(m): 2:03pm On Jul 26, 2013
elampiro: What I mean is that RVP doesn't do well aside the box. His build up play is not pleasing to me. He is only good around the 20 yard area. Plant him there (the 20 yard area) then get some intelligent guys to deliver the ball to him. That's what suit him.
You are being too harsh...he is decent outside the box. Good first touch and he can hold up play and bring people up in build ups plus he set up a decent amount of goals too.
He scored some wonderful goals outside the box or in and around the 18 yard box and not just tap-ins plus he was the arrowhead so most of the time he would be in the box.
He won't score as much goals if he was dangling outside the box. He is simply playing his role.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by chamotex(m): 1:13pm On Jul 26, 2013
elampiro: Na coach sey make RVP and Kagawa dey miss one on one and a goal without a goal keeper?

RVP has missed one on one three or four times in this preseason. His overall team play in the build up is even questionable. Just to chip the goalkeeper he couldn't.

RVP is an inbox player who wait for hardworkers like Valencia and Rooney to find him in the 18 box. He is not a lion which goes to hunt but a Hyena which capitalizes on the goodies.
RVP an inbox player? Where have you been watching your games?
Lets say he is for a second. Do you expect every striker to be a "hunter" like you claimed.
Same way some CB's do the rough/dirty work and others tidy up or some CM's are attacking while some are defensive.
Fluidity and flexibility is imperative.

I also took a bet with dayokanu and Ruudie who was in 9ja. Ruudie paid through a friend's PayPal account who was in the UK.

So far we have 6 people interested
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Fantasy Premier League Betting? by chamotex(op): 11:55am On Jul 26, 2013
Yea...anything between 20-50 is fine.

But you guys need to remember 9ja participants won't have PayPal access...or do they have now?
I can only do PayPal
Plus PayPal charges and exchange rate meaning you might not get the exact amount of stakes after all the calculations and deduction.
I don't want anyone to come and start yarning thrash about mismanagement of funds in the future.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Fantasy Premier League Betting? by chamotex(op): 6:58am On Jul 26, 2013
As we all know, a few peeps have suggested to place bets on this coming season's FPL.
Please show your interest if you are up for it with format, suggestions on stakes and quotas etc.

Thanks.

My own personal suggestion is the problem with logistics.
Most of you guys reside in different parts of the world and certain aspects needs to be put into consideration e.g. paypal, bank accounts, exchange rates etc but I'm sure there is a way round it.

For example, I took a bet recently between debosky and dayokanu on the Bayern vs Arsenal champions league match.
Dayokanu paid in dollars and debosky with pounds...PayPal charged a fee and also exchange rate affected the total number of stakes won.

But it's up to you guys...I can set up a private league for the interested parties and distribute the codes when everything is finalised.
Kindly bear in mind we only have a few weeks left before the start of the season so time is crucial...no long deliberation and majority's vote will count.
Yup the ninjas that performed well in the so-called lower leagues should be in the FA cup! I saw people that didn't touch their teams almost the entire season in the FA cup and it was a tad depressing
Name them please
What else is a ninja supposed to do with only 30 slots available.
Loyika, nateevs, Duduspace and bad boys have all been relegated plus I've added 3 more slots for league champion, carling champion and conference champion.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Nairaland Fantasy Premier League 2013/2014 by chamotex(op): 6:30am On Jul 26, 2013
kashmo: Finally, goons with some iota of sense! There you should be a relegation style format to help weed out underperforming Managers/teams. In all fairness, the top thirty from the main league deserves a shot at it too grin This should help curb the padi padi format we've been subjected to cheesy
Awe, there is no padi padi here now.
If it was padi padi you would have gotten the FA cup code too
Trying to be fair as possible...there is only 30 slots so I'm in a lose lose situation...some would get and some won't.
I can only do so much if you know what I mean.

dare2think: Hey Chamo,

Can I have the codes pls. Plus the cup codes.

Regarding the monetary league I discussed with you earlier, I figures we ask folk first if they would be interested (I'm sure most will) and move from there.

1. I feel entrance fee should be in the region of £10- £20 (N2500- N5000)
2. Money sent to you and kept in a Trust with two respectable nairalanders in charge.
3. Winner takes 80% of the total and admin should take 20% for their troubles
4. Monetary prizes makes it more interesting!

Let me know if you think its a good idea.
Codes sent.
In regards to the betting...I'll need to set up another thread for that so as not to derail this and get people's opinion.
Will do that soon.

Suggestion ---- it would be unfair if only the winners of the other h2h make it into the main h2h. . top 3 or top 2 atleast ( 6 or 4 places). . . people dashing awoof and those that came rock bottom are plentyfull in the FA cup.
Brother, shey English comprehension na your problem? I said only winners are guaranteed and I've repeatedly said there are spaces that will be allocated to others.
Abi make I give them your slot? grin
Yes 6 places for new slots...3 to the winners of main league, carling and conference and there will still be about 3 left which will still be allocated.
