I saw a rasta, Grenada guy playing for the Revolution against UTD last night. . . . . . . decent midfielder, covers ground, good ball control and passing ~ wouldn't mind having him in the squad!
Ruud, thank goodness you are not the manager of MANCHESTER UNITED grin grin grin
Why not Sani Kaita? cheesy

chamotex,

david gill flew from switzerland to milan. . . . .a rumoured bid of €39m. . . . .sneijder wants at least the €215,000 per week he earns at inter-milan. inter fans want him as a straight swap for luiz nani. sneijder won't go to malaga(the new citeh of la liga) and. . . . . .
Honestly, I think its too much.
With Sneijder, we will have to play with 5 in midfield wont we? I don't think we can play Sneijder in a 4-4-2 formation.
Plus he could be a disruptive influence in the team . . . he is a moaner.
He doesnt get on V.Persie and RvN and a couple of other guys in the dutch team.

coogar:
bebe has done it again. . . . .scored on his debut for besiktas. he's got simao, quaresma and almeida as team-mates down there. my bet is on bebe winning the mvp of the next season's europa league. wink
I think all Bebe needs is confidence and a lot of playing times . . . I believe he could be a better player when he gets back.
He could be spear-heading our attack against teams like Arsenal and Chelsea next year grin grin grin

name one fergie team that has not relied on wing play - that is our way! from giggs to beckham to ronaldo to nani to bebe. it's one area fergie invests heavily.
martin o'neill also wanted that method but the lack of funds in aston villa meant the quality wasn't really up to scratch. but they played well with young, milner, etc. . . .

guarin is decent but i have been mostly impressed with alexi sanchez - he has been the star of the tournament!
That is why I said we need flexibility . . . I'm totally for wing play (I'm a badass winger myself cheesy)
If we cant penetrate through the wings, can we go through the middle? We cant be too reliant on wing play.

What is the update on Valencia's ankle injury?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by chamotex(op): 6:35pm On Jul 12, 2011
coogar:
it depends on who is available to play. playing young in a withdrawn attacking role is keeping rooney/berbatov on the bench and there are no better 'number 10s' than this duo in the league. young will only play there if two of rooney, berba and chicharito are injured/suspended.

ashley young's strength is cutting in from the left and delivering those tasty crosses. he's so good at doing that and his set-piece is excellent as well. fergie knows what to do. all we need now is 2 dynamic midfielders and we are good to go! fletcher is still recovering. are we sure his virus isn't hiv?
I think an AM is more important . . . someone that would guarantee at least 10 goals per season.
Carrick plays DM very well . . . and I think Phil Jones can be reliable in that position too if we need.
Relying on wing play most times could affect us . . . we need flexibility.

Have you been watching the Copa America? Freddy Guarin looks decent

coogar:
i disagree. . . . .

nani is the man for the big games. the only problem here is valencia is equally good in his own ways. nani is less effective when playing on the left flank. that is when you see him trying to piss about with the ball. on the right wing, nani is a beast. extremely talented with trickery and with 18 league assists last season, he showed he's come of age and can even do better if he gets run of games without shifting him to accommodate antonio.

the left side is a toss between park, young, obertan and giggs. . . . . nani and valencia will compete for the right hand side.
Young is hungry and will be itching to prove himself. His work-rate is as good as anyone in the team.
I'm still not totally convinced Young will be playing as a winger tho . . . do you?
I see him playing in a withdrawn attacking role/free role just as he did for Villa last season.

it hasn't sunk yet that ashley young is now one of us. . . . .
This guy will make us bucket loads of goals. . . no doubt about that.
I have a feeling Young will even displace Nani in the team. . . unless Nani can duplicate the form he showed mid-season last year.
Nani to me cant perform under pressure for a spot in the team. That is when he will start trying to do too much and doing 'over-skill'
And I'm sure Young will play in the 'big games' ahead of Nani cos of his work-rate and defensive abilities unlike Nani.

I'm guessing It would take a couple of weeks to fully scan Gervinho's forehead though.
