Deraimma:Thank you for your contribution. |
Faithymatt:Thank you for sharing. |
Thank you for your contribution. I'll put it into consideration. |
Hi guys, please I'll appreciate your contributions on this topic. I'll try to go straight to the point without telling unnecessary stories. I have a brother who is doing a government job but the pay is so low he could be earning more as a laborer in a construction company. Although he's a graduate, the reason for the low pay is that he was only able to get the job using his secondary school certificate. Now there is a child and a wife to feed. And because of "job security", I know he'll not want to leave that for something he's not sure if it'll work. I'm a freelance writer and I know freelancing can give him a better life. However, writing is not his forte. So I want him to learn another digital skill while I put him through how he could get clients. I know he used to be very creative as a young boy so I'm thinking graphics design. But at the same time, I'm hoping it would be a skill he can pick up and master in just a few months and start earning almost immediately. I want to make sure I have something solid before I approach him. I'm willing to pay for courses and classes for him to attend and learn more. If you've made it this far, I believe you have something for him and I'll be glad if you can contribute to this. |
Follow the bag. Passion will pursue you. While I cannot say what inspired OP to ask this question, I can tell that most people who ask the same question have been indoctrinated by motivational speakers. Since most of them claim they do what they are passionate about (that is, motivating you and of course, making money from it), they believe everyone should be making money from their passions too. But sadly, this is not how real life works. If you love motivational quotes, chances are you've come across interesting claims like this: "Chase your Passions & Money will come. Chase Money & you may never find your Passions!" or this "If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life." But let's come back to reality. We are not some brave heroes in a great movie who followed their passion and became very successful at the end of the day. Sometimes, you have to do things you think you don't like to find out what you truly like. Because you think your passion is music doesn't really make it your passion. It is better to follow the bag and secure it first before going into things that you are not certain of. I bet some people claim that football is their passion but they've never been rewarded for it. But what if these same people choose to follow the bag now and make a lot of money. Imagine if they made it big and become a club owner someday? I think following the bag first is always better. Of course, You might be lucky to follow your passion and secure the bag at the same time. Good for you but don't get carried away and think life always works that way. |

It's funny how there at over 4 pages of comments here and most of them are not helpful. People tend to think others experience life the same way they do. Imagine several comments claiming it's because you're not pressed that's why you can't pee. I do experience this myself but I've never thought it had a name. Reading through WebMD right now, I realized that the condition is more common than I thought. From what I read, about 20 million Americans suffer from the shy bladder syndrome. I know how it feels. I've beenbin situations where I had to hold myself for more than two hours because it won't just come out. And hey, it has nothing to do with the size of your thing. Believe me. It is purely a social phobia. Nothing to worry about. What works for me, however, is closing my eyes and imagining myself peeing whenever I'm around people. Also, one of the common time you'll experience this is when you're traveling. From my last experience, what I did was to sit back in the car and waited for those that have gone to ease themselves. After majority of them came back, I went outside to ease myself and it was very helpful. I also realized that the more you free your mind and distract yourself from the actual act, you will get better over time. Thank you. |
Take them out to a great resturant and buy them food like someone suggested already. Make videos of the moment and take enough pictures. Believe me, this will be part of the memories you won't be able to forget. No matter what you buy, it will be forgotten after a year. Also, you don't want to spend all the alawee on buying gifts. I'm saying this from my own personal experience. I saw one of the videos I made with my closest friends when we were about to round up and sweet memories flashed back to me. By the way, I wish you all favour out here. Congratulations! |
Hi guys, please who knows where I can get an international passport in Kwara state? Also, the price and ease of getting it. Thank you! |
I heard you can convert it at Kwara Hotel but I didn't later need to use an exchanger. Another option is to talk to someone working at the western union in a bank, they usually have exchanges they work with. |
TheDarkGamer:If the client is asking you to provide your bank details, it is against Fiverr's T&C. They'll probably sanction you if you do that. Again, working with a client you do not know and accepting payment outside Fiverr may not be the best option for you. Fiverr's escrow protects you from being scammed. What if the person refuse to pay after you deliver the service? |
TheDarkGamer:Fiverr don't want you to request for payment outside their platform. However, there are times that their bots are triggered because of certain keywords and not necessarily because you want to ask for payment outside the platform. Just modify your message and the message will disappear. You can still go ahead and send the message even if the notification pops up as long as you're sure that the message doesn't contain anything that implies receiving money outside Fiverr. |
Hello guys, how are you all doing? Hope the orders are rolling in and hope clients dey pay? A quick and serious question now. How do you guys rake in $1,000+ from freelancing monthly? I think it's a ceiling I'm finding difficult to break. It seems there is a trick that I don't know. Any suggestions? I'm willing to learn. |
raphemmanuel:My own account is UBA. I read somewhere that Sterling bank is easier but I can't confirm it since I don't have an account with them. I have access account and they won't stop sending emails to me about receiving funds from abroad so I guess it would be easier with them. Either way, just get to the bank and confirm. Best of luck! |
raphemmanuel:Because of the recent policies of the CBN, if you send money from your Payoneer to your Naira Bank account, the bank would automatically create a Dom account for you to receive the fund. However, this process really stressed me and I wouldn't advice you go through it. Simply go to the bank and tell them that you want to open a savings domiciliary account. You only need your ID card, NEPA bill, passport, and all the basic requirements for opening a regular bank account. If the bank automatically opens a Dom account for you, it's likely going to be a current domiciliary account and you'll have to look for referees with current account before you can access your money. I hope this is helpful? If you have any other questions, let me know. |
I've gotten some writers now. |

kingtinnie:Thank you very much I later got someone. |
Good morning guys. I've searched for Bureau de change (BDCs) in Ilorin online but I didn't get any contact or location where I can go and change USD to naira. If you know any BDC or someone I can call, I will appreciate if you can direct me to them. Thank you for your response! |
gentlesil:Payoneer charges 2% per withdrawal but at the end of the it's still better than the 360 / $ rate from bank. You can get about 450 - 470 / $ with BDC. |
gentlesil:Create Payoneer and add it to your Upwork. Send the form from Payoneer to your dorm account. Go to bank and withdraw your USD then look for a BDC and exchange it for a higher rate. |
Desyno:Download hacker keyboard or use a computer. |
Coolabbie:Oops, I don't have Payoneer card. I'll just stick with my other method for now. |
Coolabbie:The verification is something else. I'm tired of turning my head around already. However, how do you link your Payoneer to the app? Do you need to have a Payoneer card? |
Coolabbie:Thanks for the information. It's their rate for me. Kuda bank is easy and fast but the rate is just 370-372 there about. I'll try it and see what rate they'll give me. |
Hello guys, I trust you're all doing good. Please I have a quick question for Upwork freelancers. Do you think it's better to focus on a particular niche as a new seller on Upwork or be a general writer until you can find a niche that has the most sales? I realized that setting my profile as "science and medical writer" seems to be limiting the type of jobs they are suggesting to me. So, I'm thinking if I should just go for a "general writer" profile to be able to send proposals for more jobs. I will appreciate your suggestions. Thank you! |
fitz101:Amen, thank you. I'm glad I could help. It's just so unfortunate that the exchange rate is low compared to what you could have gotten from exchangers. However, you have peace of mind knowing that your money is safe. |
awoofawoo:No thanks. |
