A Nigerian doctor, Ogoo Ekete has been hailed after helping a pregnant woman in labour deliver her baby while traveling to the village in Enugu state. According to Seun Oloketuyi, the delivery was done in a tricycle a.k.a 'Keke Napep' with the aid of a torchlight from a mobile phone.

Ogoo Ekete is a young Medical Doctor. But that's not all. She is also wife to my colleague, Fred, an Engineer in our Networks Department. Still that's not all. On New Year Day, God used Dr. Ogoo to accomplish a feat, which led to the birth of a potential leader of tomorrow and saved the life of his mother. Now, that's just it, but then there's a story behind the story. Come with me...

Traveling in the village with her hubby and children, to visit her sister, their car was flagged down by a desperate and anxious young man, whose wife was in labor at the LGA health centre (Iji Nike Cottage Hospital, Near Enugu East Development Centre Nkwo Nike) without any staff at work. Jesus!

In less than 5 minutes, Dr. Ogoo, a kind and blessed daughter of Zion, set up a mobile hospital in the "keke" that brought in the woman, and went into active delivery mode. Chai!

Fred's sister-in-law, whom they were going to visit and whose house was right opposite the Health Centre, played the midwife and used the torchlight in Fred's mobile phone to provide the needed illumination.

To the glory of almighty God, at 6:30 pm 1/1/16, she very meticulously and successfully delivered the woman of a bouncing baby boy. Praise the Lord somebody!

Let us thank God for the life of the baby and her mother. Only God knows what their fate would have been, had Dr. Ogoo hadn't happened around at the time, and wasn't spirit-led to render a selfless service according her Hippocratic Oath.

According to the man who met him personally, the guy (Chijioke) who is a graduate -decided to use his cooking skills to fend for himself instead of waiting for "manners from above" after his deportation. A couple with quadruplets are in dire need of assistance due to the growing unstable economy which is not making it easier for them. Pictured are Mr Mathew Oliver Uchechi and Mrs Justina Matthew and their children which were born on 14th December 2015. According to an online report, Mr Oliver is from Ikeduru LGA in Imo state and his wife who is from Akwa Ibom state, both studied at University of Port Harcourt where they met as course mates, fell in love and eventually got married.

Their father Oliver has lived in Port Harcourt for 25years and reside somewhere around Nkpolu- Rumuigbo. Their parents; dad works at a pharmacy shop and mom tailor have been finding it difficult raising the children.

Still basking in the euphoria of the historic and glamorous Coronation ceremony, the Obi of Issele-Uku, HRM Ezeagwuna 11 and Traditional Head of Ezechima Clan has taken delivery of a brand new Infinity QX56 Jeep as a free gift from Chief Ike Odoe, the Oji-Oba of Issele-Uku and CEO of Crown Feeds and Livestock Nig. Ltd/Crown Hatchery Enterprises - a leading poultry farm in West Africa.

The presentation was done on Sunday 1st January, 2017, at the Oligbo Royal Palace by Chief Odoe to the admiration of all present.

According to Odoe, "I am aware that efforts are being made by Hon. Engr. Emeka Nwaobi and some other progressive youths of Issele-Uku to procure a befitting vehicle for our new king. Their efforts are commendable; in fact, I appreciate everyone that has played one role or the other towards the success of the Coronation. However, this is part of my widow's mite to the king for him to start up life on a good note. While we wait for other cars to come in, I felt the king deserves much more than starting with small cars; and so I have brought this one for him", the Oji-Oba explained.

Meanwhile, on behalf of His Highness, the Chairman of the Media, Publicity and Protocol Subcommittee, Prof. Josephine Ngozi Mokwunyei commended Chief Ike Odoe for such monumental gesture, stating that he has remained a pillar of development in Issele-Uku.
