A mother and daughter with identical facial tumours have been given a new lease life after volunteer doctors removed the growths for free. The mother, was bullied for 25 years over her huge tumour, which dominated the right side of her face.

She was devastated when her daughter Edith, now 12, developed a similar growth five years ago, which started as just a small lump behind her ear.

Barely able to make ends meet, the pair, had no choice but to let the bulging masses grow until the mother first underwent a free surgery, courtesy of Mercy Ship before her daughter joined her.

Speaking of when her surgery bandages were removed, Valerie said: 'I said "Wow! Is this really me? Is this really happening to me?" It's a miracle.'

The Enugu Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on December 17, 2018 arraigned Ogbonna Victor Chibuzor, a serving member of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC before Justice A.M. Liman of the Federal High Court, Enugu on a five-count charge bordering on intent to defraud, and possession of fraudulent documents contrary to Section 6 of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act 2006 and punishable under Section 1 (3) of the same Act.

Ogbanna’s arrest was sequel to series of raids carried out by operatives over the past one week in which several suspected fraudsters in their early 20s, alleged to be engaging in online fraud, were arrested having been found to be living a flamboyant lifestyle not commensurate to the means of livelihood.

Analysis carried out on the computer of the suspected fraudster revealed certain incriminating documents intended to be used in swindling gullible Nigerians and foreigners alike.

Further investigations disclosed that Ogbanna uses his e-mail address activitygeneral@hotmail.com to send unsolicited emails to his victims using fake or stolen identity to legitimize his nefarious activities.

One of the documents was addressed to one Alan Christopher of BG Group Plc, Thames Valley Park, Reading, RG6, Berkshire, United Kingdom, with a rider “Your attention is needed” and a second paragraph talking about a £12,500,000 (Twelve Million Five Hundred Thousand Pounds Sterling) unclaimed contract fund.

Another document found with the accused was a purported “Contract Award Certificate” to one Michael Morgan of 101 Brooklyn, New York, United State of America, on “Directing and Fixing of Oil Spillage” in the Niger Delta signed by the Chairman, Contract Tender Board and Chairman, Legal Department of Chevron Nigeria.

He pleaded “not guilty” to the charges preferred against him occasioning his counsel E.O. Isiwu to move a motion for bail, which was opposed by prosecuting counsel, Innocent Mbachie.

The presiding judge, however, granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N500, 000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira) and one surety in like sum. The surety, he ruled, “must have a landed property in Enugu which must be verified by the Commissioner of Lands”. Ogbonna is to be remanded in prison custody until he fulfils his bail conditions.

The case has been adjourned to January 30, 2019.

Tragedy was averted following a horrific truck accident earlier today in Imo state. 

According to reports, the truck driver who was said to be on top speed - lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a shop at Umualumaku Umueze, Okigwe area of the state.

It was gathered that no life was lost in the accident as people fled before the truck could reach the shop. 

Residents of the area are calling on drivers to be careful on how they drive especially this festive season.

The Manager of Swiss park hotel in Nnewi, Anambra state, has been killed by unknown gunmen.

It was gathered that the deceased identified as Chukwunonso Igbokwe from Okpunoeze in Uruagu Nnewi, was shot dead while on duty after the armed hoodlums stormed the area on Wednesday, December 11 (yesterday).  

Reports have it that Nonso was decorating the hotel with Christmas lights when the hoodlums stormed the hotel premises and shot him dead.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi.

 Friends and colleagues who have taken to social media to mourn the loss have called the Anambra State government to beef up security around the state especially in Nnewi due to the growing crime rate this festive period.

A social media influencer has taken to Facebook to show the burden of living with HIV. 

The 32-year-old Ugandan woman, Barbara Kemigisa who isn't shy of talking about her HIV status, shared pictures of her family with the drugs they take daily to contain the virus. 

She wrote; My babies and I displaying our burden of living with HIV. Kourtney 9 years 11 tablets, Trevor 17 years 20 tablets, Dauglas 22 years 3 tablets, Barbara 32 years 3 tablets daily.

If you still have a chance and choice to stay safe, please do because it isn't fun swallowing these pills everyday especially for the kids born with the virus.

Molested by her uncles at a tender age, Kemigisa developed a promiscuous life by the time she was a teenager.

“My parents separated when I was four years old, so, I stayed with my grandmother in Fort Portal. At six, I was molested by my uncles. They gave me pancakes for sex and asked me not to tell anyone.” 

The molestation continued until she was 11 years old, when she came to stay with her father in Kampala in 1997..

A young man was crushed to death in a fatal accident which happened on Sunday (yesterday) in Sapele, Delta state.

The deceased, a deaf man simply identified as Jehoshaphat was said to be on a motorcycle before the accident which saw his head crushed and his brain scattered all over the road.

It was gathered that the motorcyclist was trying to doge a pothole on the road before the passenger (Jehoshaphat) was crushed by a Toyota Highlander car. 

He died on the spot.  The incident attracted a huge crowd in the area as residents alerted the police before evacuation of the corpse.

A man and his family are lucky to be alive after being involved in a ghastly motor accident.

According to reports, the passenger bus which they were travelling in along with other members of Winners Chapel who were returning from the just concluded Shiloh 2018, crashed and somersaulted multiple times. 

Despite the impact of the accident, every passenger on board came out alive and unhurt.

This young lovers have incurred wrath of online users after sharing a controversial and awkward picture of both of them together.

The picture earned him a lot of criticisms and backlash from internet users who blasted him for making their private affair, public.

A 22-year-old man of Nigerian descent is now committed to solving knife crime which has been rocking parts of London in recent times. 

According to reports, the former gangster turned pastor, Enrique Uwadiae who was stabbed three times by a gang rival and almost died, prayed to God: “If you save me, I will serve you.”

Last week, Uwadiae spoke at a Be The Change meeting, sponsored by The Sun on Sunday as part of its Beat The Blades campaign.

Enrique, who grew up on the tough Crawford Estate, in South East London, said: “I used to be violent because of the way I’d grown up and what I’d seen on the road.

“Poverty brings anger and leads to a gang lifestyle. Aged 15 I was arrested for double attempted murder after a gang clash, though the charges were later dropped.

“But everything changed for me in November 2013, when I was 17, and I was stabbed in the arm, back and femoral artery. I collapsed in a pool of blood and thought my life was over.

“Before I was rushed to hospital, I remember praying to God.

“I heard about a church called SPAC Nation, whose leader was taking young boys involved in gang crime and welcoming them. So I joined.”

A man was apprehended on Friday night while on an underwear stealing mission in Delta state. The suspect was reportedly caught by local vigilante in Agbarha area of the state after he allegedly stole a bra and was looking for panties to steal to complete his mission.

When he was quizzed by the security operatives, the suspect allegedly confessed that a man whom he asked to show him the way to make money told him to go and find where to hustle panties and bra before he helps him.

He was told after picking or stealing the items, he should meet him at a popular Tozak hotel in Ughelli area. 

He was caught by vigilante members after stealing only one bra.

Outrage has been sparked online after a footage showing a government staff parading herself in a unclad state, surfaced online. 

The woman who works as a secretary for the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) council boss in Chilanga, Zambia, wore a see through outfit which exposed her unclad body as she made a video while dancing in that state. 

The footage and pictures which have gone viral on different social media platforms have sparked outrage with many blasting the president of Zambia, Edgar Lungu who belongs to the ruling PF party. 

This is coming after another a female Zambian government worker made headlines few weeks ago after her nude picture emerged on social media.

According to reports, the woman, a staff at the office of Miles Sampa, the Mayor of Lusaka city, Zambia, sent her bathroom selfie/ nude picture to her lover which was later leaked online.

This got the woman heavily criticised and lambasted by internet users for the embarrassing act.

A secondary school student was allegedly shot dead by police during a violent protest in Oyo state. It was alleged that the student was trying to attack the policeman during the protest before he was shot dead. 

This made the Oyo State Government to shut down the Community Grammar School, Olodo, Ibadan with immediate effect.

The decision to close the school was announced on Monday through a statement by the Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs. Ibironke Fatoki.

Fatoki said that the school was shut over the incident of arson that occurred in the premises on Friday during a mob action by some hoodlums and miscreants after a violent protest by secondary school students the day before.

She stated that the government had set up a six-man administrative investigative panel to examine the immediate and remote causes of the incident, adding that the panel is expected to submit its report in seven working days.

Fatoki added that  a block of 3 classrooms and four cars were burnt during the protest, adding that one life was also lost during the mayhem.

A young Nigerian man has been left heartbroken after he was dumped by his 42-year-old Chinese lover.

According to the 22-year-old Nigerian identified as Ejiblinks from Owerri, Imo state, his older lover dumped him after five months of dating because her family won't approve due to his nationality and age. 

Despite being heartbroken, the young man still took to Facebook to declare love for her as he vowed to wait for her to come back into his life.

She came into my life sad, lonely and in need of a shoulder to lean on. I said I’d be there for her as a friend. So we talked. Though 3000 km apart, we still felt close.

Then she tells me she wants more than friendship but afraid of losing her, I couldn’t say I’d fallen for her already. I gave in and said I loved her too. I gave her my soul, my heart. Everything.

Five months of happiness. Then one day she simply said she couldn’t be mine. Her family wouldn’t approve. Our love wasn’t enough, am from Nigeria, and she is Chinese, am 22 and she 42.

She left, deactivating her Facebook and whatsapp. Coming back again twice more, I was more broken each time.

But I am still here, missing her. Every minute of everyday. I still love her, still cry for her, the first time I kissed her, once second to none. I have touched her hand, saw her in person, had fun with her, but I am still waiting. Not knowing where she is or how she’s doing.

A lady has taken to social media to reveal her displeasure with guys who take girls home and sleep off 'on time' for reasons best known to them.

The young lady blasted and criticised those men who will doze off after only one round of sex because of work or what they have to do the next day.

She revealed that she can not be in a man's house and he will sleep off by 12 am and leave her by herself because he has something to do the following day.

She said the man must wake up from his sleep because he must finish what he started - else she will do something strong to him in his sleep.

The lady also asked how one can call himself a man when he cannot make a woman happy for 24 hours.

She said once a man invites a girl to the house, the sex issue definitely becomes till day break.
