Security operatives have apprehended a notorious cultist identified as Wisdom from Southern Ijaw Local Government, that allegedly attacked a victim and stole the personal belongings at Dimrose axis in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital.

Before his arrest, the suspect was said to have been terrorising Dimrose and the nearby axis in Yenagoa metropolis along with his gang members. 

After stealing from his latest victim who raised an alarm, the suspect was given a hot chase and caught as he was beaten mercilessly the operatives of the security outfit who nabbed him. 

He was handed over to men of the Nigerian police force in the area for further investigation.

The chairman of Orange Drugs Limited, Sir Tony Ezenna popularly known as Ikenga Akokwa, is set to officially launch his new mansion today in Lagos with many dignitaries to be in attendance.

Last week, a man identified as Mr. Nicholas Adetsav was found dead with his wife and children at their home in Vandeikya street in Makurdi, Benue state capital. The man who was a administrative staff of the local government service commission, was said to have been killed by his wife after an undisclosed disagreement. 

It was alleged that the wife who went on rampage, damaged the vehicle belonging to her husband before killing her husband and children. The woman also killed herself, according to reports. 

Terfa Lord Jirgba, a neighbour who claims to be close friends with the deceased, Nicholas Adetsav and from the same village - took to Facebook to narrate what happened as he said he decided to do so to fill the missing links in the story.

Makurdi Murders: My Version as a First Responder!

I was one of the first responders at the scene of the terrible tragedy in Makurdi on the 3rd of Nov., 2018., that claimed an entire household.

Ordinarily, I would not have given any account of what I saw on that day because the case is still under investigation and with the scale and magnitude of the matter, it would only be reasonable to wait for the full report of the investigation, but with the way and manner people are giving all kinds of misrepresentations, I felt the compelling need to explain what I saw and fill some missing links in the story.

The events of the preceding days were actually heartbreaking. And to think that a family of five would just perish like that is particularly nerve-wrenching. This heinous crime took place in our neighborhood at Vandeikya street. I have known this family over the years. Nick Adetsav and I are from the same village and we had happened to be close friends long before he finally got married. It may also interest everyone to note that my younger brother Barr. Joseph Tyeku is the next door neighbour to the ill-fated family.

It's possible for any sound mind to disbelieve the sad event that happened on that tragic day, but the story is as close as the way people are reporting it that the woman did actually kill her husband, 3 kids and herself. The woman truly had had a penchant for violence which the husband did overlook and treated with levity. Fighting had become a daily routine for the couple for whatever reasons that weren't clear. She was also fond of going to prayer houses. The husband had always tried to manage the situation. As a friend and a regular visitor to the house, I had had cause to scold the wife on several occasions.

Let us be reminded that heaping blame on the late wife stems not out of hatred for her but her previous violent ways. Before her death, she had a string of cases all bordering on violence and was standing trial at a magistrate court for stabbing a neighbour with a knife. She was mostly to neighbours.

It is truly unclear what had transpired before this ugly incident, but it is a fact that the deceased husband got home at about 6:30 pm having driven himself from a Friday hangout with friends and was immediately confronted by the wife. They both dragged themselves inside the room as usual and locked the door. The routine fights continued immediately and the nieghbours were alerted as usual. But tension rose only when at about 30 to 40 minutes later the woman came outside the compound and smashed at her husband's car. It became obvious to everyone that all was not well.

My younger brother Tyeku quickly alerted me on phone and I immediately sent D.D. Aernyi's number to him in order for him to report the incident in hopes his intervention will quell the situation because the deceased husband was his P.A. when he had served as caretaker chairman of Gwer-East L.G. and they still seem to maintain a cordial relationship. And it was reasonable to think his intervention will help calm frayed nerves.

But unfortunately D.D. Aernyi was in Abuja and had instructed my brother to call the police immediately of which he did. When the police got there, which coincided with my arrival, they immediately broke in and discovered that the entire members of the household lay lifeless.

Note that this incident did not occur in the dead of night while everybody was asleep, people were very much awake but only did not reckon the magnitude of what was at hand. Everybody was taken unawares.

It's indeed highly pathetic and too tragic for words. And it is a big pity that the watching world which was wide-wake could not help the hapless victims.

A young man was allegedly shot dead by men attached to the 130 Battalion Nigerian Army in Abonnema, Rivers state on Friday night (9th November 2018).

Mr Sepribo Black-Duke, 31, who went out yesterday to enjoy his evening like every other free citizen was allegedly shot dead by men of the Nigerian Army at about 8:45PM and bled profusely until he died.

Reports have it that Mr Sepribo Black-Duke had sat in a drinking bar located at Briggs Compound, Abonnema where he whiled away the evening alongside a few other friends. It was in the middle of this merriment, that the men of Nigerian Army allegedly unleashed their terror and began to brutalise everyone in the bar.

The army allegedly brutalised and tortured the innocent citizens. They beat and injured Sepribo until he could no longer bear the pains and took to his heels. This was when the soldiers allegedly shot him but yet he still continued running until he finally fell. 

According to reports, with his body down, bleeding from belly, the military men walked down to Mr Sepribo and shot at him the 3rd time and was left there wriggling and screaming in a pool of his own blood.

He was finally picked up by friends and relatives with the help of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Rowland Sekibo (JP) and rushed to UPTH but gave up along East-West Road by Choba bridge due to too much loss of blood.

Mr Sepribo Black-Duke was an executive member of the PDP and was the Vice Chairman of the Party in ward 3 Akulga. He was also a vibrant member of Abonnema Youth Organization (A.Y.O).

Meanwhile, the family of the deceased together with the Chairman of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area have met with the Police D.P.O. in Abonnema to make a formal report of the gruesome murder of Mr Sepribo Black-Duke by the Nigerian military men.

The Executive Chairman, Hon. Rowland Sekibo, JP also commiserated with the wife of the deceased earlier on Saturday morning(10th November, 2018).

A fatal car accident which happened this morning in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state capital, has left at least two persons dead and an unspecified number of people injured. 

It was gathered that a speeding vehicle rammed into Mandela car wash along Oro Igwe road in Port-Harcourt, after the driver lost control and killed two persons on the spot. 

Unfortunately, a man who was close to the scene of the accident was also crushed to death.

The incident attracted a large number of crowd in the area as security operatives are yet to arrive the scene.

A murder investigation continues following the death of a 16-year-old Nigerian boy John Ogunjobi in Lambeth, London.

Police were initially called to Greenleaf Close on Monday, 5 November, to reports of a shooting.

Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and found a 16-year-old boy collapsed in the street with stab injuries.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, the male was pronounced dead at the scene at 23:41hrs. His next of kin are aware.

A post-mortem examination held on Thursday, 8 November, at Greenwich Mortuary gave cause of death as a stab wound.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish whether a firearm was discharged.

An investigation is underway by detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, led by Detective Chief Inspector Richard Vandenbergh.

This is coming after a 17-year-old boy identified as Malcolm Mide-Madariola was stabbed near Clapham South underground station in London on Friday, November 2.

The pastor who made headlines following his viral sex video scandal, appears to have bounced back as the cleric was seen leading a praise and worship session today in Lagos with his members in happy and dancing mood.

The pastor, Apostle Chris Omatsola, who has apologised to Nigerians and his ex-fiancee Princess Tamaratokoni Okpewho who was featured in the sex tape, reportedly relocated his church (Zionwealth Of Life Assembly in Lekki area of Lagos) over threats that trailed the release of the clip.

The pastor revealed that the new location of his ministry was only known to core members because he feared for his life and those of his members.

The cleric, who is the Presiding Pastor of Zionwealth of Life Assembly, and his former lover, Tamaratokoni Okpe, had a clash over a sex video, which was leaked on the Internet.

The two estranged lovers, who allegedly dated for about seven months, reportedly had sexual intercourse during the fling, which was filmed by Omatsola.

Shortly after things fell apart between them, the sex video emerged on the Internet.

Okpe had accused Omatsola of releasing the video to force her into marriage with him, while the cleric denied the claim, saying the video was leaked to blackmail him. He alleged that Okpe demanded N200m from him.

Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku of Taraba state, today crossed the Gada Mayo to reach the remote areas in the state (Warwar, Vakude, Mbamnga amongst others). The governor visited the rural area along side his deputy Engr Haruna Manu and other members of his entourage. 

The governor who was in the local government for a one week working visit decided to get to the areas.

Taraba state has been govern by three civilian governors since it inception and non was able to visit this areas because of if difficulties to access but today Governor Ishaku has broken the Jinx, according to reports. 

The Governor speaking said he has yet recorded another milestone in the journey of his Rescue mission, just as the saying goes Health is wealth , that has propelled him to the renovation and equipping of the Warwar General hospital. He said Warwar General hospital is among the best hospitals in his list of priorities and today he is fulfilled that the hospital will not only take care of the health challenges of the people but will also bring reduction of major health challenges.

The Governor promised to deploy more health workers to the hospital and also add more machines to help solve major cases. He said the state Executive council has approved the purchase and deploy of more equipment in other to make the hospital a serve center for the towns and neighboring villages.

Darius thanked the Rt Hon Speaker (Abel Peter Diah) whom he called his good Ally for keying into the rescue mission fully and doing his own quota to ease the challenges of the people

The Governor immediately ordered for an Etisalat subscribers to get to work and mount a Mask which will generate service to the entire village and neighboring villages.The Governor also donated an Ambulance for the Hospital and a Bally bridge for the river.

The Governor thanked the people of the area for the confidence reposed on him and his government and pleaded with them to vote him again come 2019 so that more development will in turn be delivered to them.

An unidentified lady was reportedly killed at the early hours of today by a high tension cable that fell off from the Ikeja Electric Pole along Iju road close to Agege Pen-cinema round about in Lagos. 

According to an eyewitness, the sad incident could have been averted had it been the Electricity distributing company had responded swiftly after several calls were made to their office by residents of the Lagos State Housing Estate close to the spot were the cable fell.

It was gathered that the Electric Cable actually fell since yesterday and till the early hours of this morning, no effort was made by the concerned authority only for this lady to fall victim and paid the ultimate price with her life.

This is not a new occurrence said one Mrs Edun, the Power Company are fond of not responding to emergency issues like this when it happened. It's a pity this innocent woman had to die in this manner on her way to work at the early hours of today.

A doctor has passed away after collapsing at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital in Edo state.

The deceased identified as Dr. Okeoghene Egigba from Okwovwori, Amukpe in Sapele area of Delta state, died in the early hours of yesterday after slumping while on duty in the hospital. 

Until his death, Dr. Okeoghene was a Senior Registrar in the Department of Surgery.

According to reports, he was undergoing training to become a full fledged surgeon before his sudden death.

It was gathered that the department of surgery was shut down yesterday to mourn the death.

A close friend Chika Ndulue took to social media to mourn the loss. She wrote; Chief Okeoghene Egigba. Dutiful, respectful, warm, jolly good fellow. Even in the world beyond, you will always have my respect. It is all souls day, may God receive your soul, may you intercede for us.

All hell broke loose after a Chinese man decided to insult a Kenyan man in his own country by calling him a monkey. It was gathered that the Chinese called the man a 'Nugu' which means monkey in Kenya (despite his big size) after a quarrel at the supermarket.

Clearly, the Kenyan man who was not having it, decided to show the foreigner 'how monkeys behave in their country'.

In a trending video posted online (watch below), the Kenyan man can bee seen dragging the Chinese after the insult before giving him a resounding slap which nearly got him off his balance.

Other Kenyans at the supermarket had to intervene and restrain their compatriot before fully unleashing his anger on the Chinese man.

The video was recorded by another shopper who couldn't contain her shock at the sound of the slap.

A man identified as Ahmed, an orange seller in Abuja metropolis has vowed not to stop his fruit business which he said has helped him to settle down and also build a house of his own.

The man who says he graduated from the Federal College of Education(Technical), Bichi, Kano state, revealed that he ventured into the business because he was unemployed.

He also revealed how he was mocked and discouraged when he wanted to start the business but now things are different.

An African lady who travelled to Oman to work as a housemaid, gave birth in a toilet after being allegedly impregnated by her master's son. 

It was gathered that the lady who reportedly hails from Ethiopia was raped multiple times by her Arab master's son at the house where she was baby sitting. 

The maid reportedly got pregnant following the sexual abuse and had to conceal it out of fear until she gave birth recently in the toilet.. 

Her employer reportedly heard the cry of the new baby from the toilet according to Facebook user, David Sserukenya, who shared a video of the maid being interrogated while carrying her baby in the toilet. 

It was also ALLEGED by David that the maid was later hung to death by her employer, as shown in another footage posted online.

"This girl is from Ethiopia. She went to Oman for kyeyo , she was raped by a son , in the house where she was baby sitting. She got pregnant,, had no one to tell, feared, and decided to hide the pregnancy until she gave birth . she gave birth from a toilet and they got her after hearing the baby crying from the toilet. Thy decided to hung her. (As if she forced the boy to rape her).So sad. I feel bad when I here people boasting that the government is getting a lot of money from people going to Arab countries . I want to open your eyes. THIS IS MODERN/ADVANCED SLAVERY . Let all our children come back. Hon sserukenya clear empologoma ya sabagabo."
