Yesterday, the men of the Rivers State Police Command, exhumed the decomposing corpse of a woman allegedly murdered by her lover in Rumuepirikom, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.

The woman identified as Better Ozige Nwabueze who was said to have been in a relationship with one Prince Udenna Uwabie, also known as J-Boy, was buried in her lover’s room after she was allegedly killed on Sunday, December 2, 2018.

According to reports, J-Boy and his lover had a disagreement after he accused her of having an affair with another man.

It was observed that a large crowd had gathered around 10 am on Thursday at a house located along Wimpey, Ikwerre Road in Port Harcourt, where the deceased was buried, to witness the exhumation of the corpse by the police.

The suspect had since been arrested and is helping the police in their investigation and would soon be charged to court.

Residents of Onitsha, Anambra state, woke up this morning to a shocking sight as an unidentified lady was found dead and her corpse dumped on the street. 

It was gathered that a pigeon and coins were allegedly found on the dead lady's unclad body at Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS) round-about in Onitsha.

The incident caused tension and panic among residents who later notified the police before the corpse was removed. 

This is happening weeks after two young ladies were brutally killed by men suspected to be ritualists in Anambra.

Two young ladies decided to dig it out in public following a heated argument between them.

According to information gathered online, the two ladies fought each other after allegedly clashing over a man. 

In a trending video posted online, the ladies can be seen throwing themselves punches before landing on the ground and exposing their bodies as they seemed unbothered and didn't even care to stop.

While this was going on, people who gathered at the scene to be entertained by the fight – couldn’t stop the ladies as they engaged in the public brawl while some even filmed the incident which has now gone viral.

A barrister identified as Mr. Adeola Adebayo has been killed by kidnappers after paying N3 million ransom.

Mr. Adeola who was the secretary of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ikole branch in Ekiti state,  was kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Saturday, 17 November 2018 at Erio, a town in the Ekiti. 

According to reports, Adeola was driving from Osogbo, Osun capital with his wife and parents where they attended a social event when he was stopped and kidnapped.

His death has been announced in a press statement released by the Secretary of NBA Ikere Ekiti branch, Mr. Michael Afolayan.

With a saddened heart, I regret to inform this body that the decomposed body of our Brother Secretary of Ikole Ekiti Branch, Adeola Adebayo, who was kidnapped 15 days ago was found today having been killed by his abductors days ago.

While appreciating this Body for your prayers and well-wishes throughout our travail on his abduction, we urge you to continue to pray for the Bar in Ekiti, wife, child, siblings, and the parents of our departed colleague for the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

May we also see this unfortunate event as opportunity to call for responsible governance towards ensuring security of lives and properties at all levels in Nigeria. I pray that God in His infinite Mercy will put a stop to this kind of happenings in our midst. God bless you all.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has arrested one Abbas Lakis, a Lebanese for money laundering offence.

Lakis was picked up at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, following intelligence report that he had on him, undeclared huge sums of monies aboard the Egypt Airline bringing him from the Kano Airport en route Lebanon.

At the point of arrest, a thorough search on his luggage, uncovered $2,104,936 (Two Million, One Hundred and Four Thousand, Nine Hundred and Thirty six Dollars), £163, 740 (One Hundred and Sixty Three Thousand, Seven Hundred and Forty Pounds), €144,680 (One Hundred and Forty Four Thousand, Six Hundred and Eighty Euros).

Other currencies found with Lakis include Riyal 391,838 (Three Hundred and Ninety One Thousand, Eight Hundred and Thirty Eight Riyals), CHF 3,420 (Three Thousand Four Hundred and Twenty Swiss Franc),Lira 435 (Four Hundred and Thirty five Lira), £109,000 (One Hundred and Nine Thousand Lebanese Pounds), Dirhams 10,135 (Ten Thousand One Hundred and Thirty Five UAE Dirhams) ¥10,000 (Ten Thousand Chinese Yuan) and Riyal10 (Ten Qatar riyal), in his possession.

He will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

A Nigerian man was left shell shocked after catching his White partner with his fellow countryman in their apartment in Germany.

The unidentified Nigerian man apparently walked in on his German lover and another man (said to be a Nigerian whom he knows) in bed and went berserk.

The man who filmed the incident can be heard shouting at his lover in the video why she brought the man to the house because he went to work. The German woman replied that the house belongs to her and she can do whatever she wants.

The Nigerian man also accused his German lover of telling the other man's girlfriend to abort her baby so they can continue having sex.

While the drama was going on in the bedroom, the other man just laid quietly on the bed and was watching even as the angry man labelled him a dirty guy.

The German lady later sent her angry lover away and told him to get out of her house.

Justice has been served in the case- Federal Republic of Nigeria VS Terry Homuere Smooth & Prescilla Bassey Effiong, as a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has sentenced them to jail for human trafficking.

It would be recalled that in a video that went viral on social media in 2015, a victim of human trafficking, Chisom, was seen naked and swearing an oath of allegiance to her ‘madam’ in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, pledging to serve her, pay thirty thousand United States Dollars, and abide by her rules or the video would be released to the public.

Based on intelligence gathered from detailed surveillance by officers of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking In Persons (NAPTIP), the first and second defendants were arrested on the 19th and 21st August 2015 respectively.

They were arraigned in court on a two-count charge under section 14(b) of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, 2015, which criminalises the export of another person from Nigeria, knowing or having reason to know, that the person wiII be forced or induced into prostitution or other forms of sexual exploitation in the country to which the person is exported or while in transit. Also, section 18 of the same Act prohibits any person from organising, facilitating or promoting foreign travels which promote prostitution or other forms of exploitation of any person, or encouraging such activity.

The presiding Judge, Hon. Justice O.O. Oguntoyinbo, having listened and witnessed the evidence tendered by the prosecution, found the defendants guilty on 27th November, 2018, and sentenced them as follows: on count one, the prisoners were sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment and one million Naira, and five years’ imprisonment in respect of count two.

Congratulations are in order for a Reverend Father who emerged as the best male student from the Nigerian law school.

The cleric identified as Rev. Fr. Gabriel Emeasoba of the Lagos Archdiocese, today 29th, November 2018 became an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and was specially recognised.

According to reports, the Reverend Father bagged First Class Honour for the fourth time in his academic pursuit. He graduated with a first class in Philosophy (B. Phil), Theology (B.Th), Law (LL.B) and Law (BL) in the Nigerian Law School.

The cleric earlier revealed that he attended the Nigerian Law School as a Catholic priest after his degree programme at the University of Lagos. He lived most times in the hostel at the Lagos Campus of the Law School and spent all his weekends in his parish ministering and focusing on things other than law.

He said that Law school was the most stressful one year he has experienced in his life because he fell sick many times and nearly gave up countless times before he finally achieved a great feat, the fourth time.

Scary things are happening most especially towards the end of the year. A man was almost lynched after he was allegedly caught with two kids at Auchi, Edo State. 

According to reports, the man who is believed to be mentally unstable is a well known "mad man" in the area who stays along Farnet road.

He was caught by some residents who labelled him a ritualist after he allegedly kidnapped two children.

The angry residents claim that he's not mad and has been pretending all along in order to carry out his alleged nefarious activities as they brutally descended on him and stripped him totally unclad.

The man was later handcuffed and taken to the police station.

A drunk driver and his car occupants miraculously escaped death after being involved in a ghastly motor accident in Delta state.

According to reports, the driver who is alleged to be an internet fraudster popularly known as 'Yahoo Boy' was apparently drunk and was said to be on top speed before losing control of the car on Sunday night in Sapele area .

He rammed into a building with full force - partly damaging the fence and gate. 

It was gathered that due to the impact of the accident, one of the car occupants broke his leg and was rushed to the hospital where he will reportedly undergo six months treatment.

Alcoholic drinks such as Black Bullet and others were found in the car after the accident.

A murder suspect is currently in police custody over the alleged killing of his colleague in Bayelsa state.

The young man identified as David Samuel was apprehended by the Bayelsa State Vigilante Service on Sunday in connection with the murder of one Godday Ayana (the deceased) which occurred in October 2018 around Tombia area, Yenagoa, the state capital.

The suspect was arrested after weeks of manhunt by security operatives who have been on his trail.

He is currently cooling off in police custody and will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

Men of the Akwa Ibom police command have apprehended some notorious hoodlums ahead of an alleged planned robbery operation in the state.

According to reports, the suspects came all the way from Owerri in Imo State with intention to rob a bank and an eatery in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

But luck ran out on them this morning as they fell into the net of the men of Akwa Ibom State Police Command.

It was gathered that the police recovered double barrel guns and pump action from them.

The suspects are currently in police custody and will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

Panic gripped residents after a school bus conveying pupils went up in flames in the middle of the road in Rivers state.

According to reports, the bus caught fire at St John's school along Ognogoro road in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state capital.

It was gathered that the timely intervention of people around the vicinity ensured that all the children were rescued alive and unhurt.

The fire was later put out due to concerted efforts from the public.

Few months ago, about thirteen people were burnt to death when a bus burst into flames after a head-on collision with a digger near Nigeria’s oil hub of Port Harcourt.

The survivor, who sustained severe burns, was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Women have been warned to desist from sending unclad pictures to their lovers in the name of love or loyalty.

A woman has landed herself in deep waters following the emergence of her nude pictures which have gone viral online.

According to multiple online users, the unnamed woman who is said to be married - sent her nude pictures to her work colleague whom she was/is allegedly having an affair with.

The picture was allegedly leaked on social media by the said colleague after an issue between them. It was claimed that the photos were exposed in order to shame her.

Facebook user Emeka John who shared the pictures didn't reveal the exact location where it happened but online users have reacted to the trending images with many saying they don't blame the lover for allegedly exposing the pictures and the woman should bear the consequences of her action.

There is allegedly a new form of robbery that has left students of Delta State University, Abraka - popularly known as DELSU, frightened. 

According to multiple reports, unknown hoodlums are now stopping girls and snatching their panties at gunpoint for reasons best known to them. 

It was also claimed in one of the online reports that some girls are also being forced by the gunmen to urinate in cellophane bags.

The students and residents of Abraka are now calling on the vice-chancellor, state government and security agents to do something about the negative growing trend. 

A student of the institution, Maradeam Osuji, took to Facebook earlier today to write;  Please if you have any female in Delsu(Abraka) drop a prayer for her. A girl was forced to pull off her pant at gun point in Abraka. It's no longer stealing of pants, it's now "Your pant or Your life"...

PS: Elozino even in death you are still loved and forever will be. You have touched the hearts of so many who owe you a lifetime of gratitude. We are not saying goodbye forever but goodbye for now. I pray you find peace and rest wherever you are.
