DuBLINGreenb: You will hardly see Emeka Kayode marry Aisha Muhammad,
northern Nigerian Muslim women are prohibited from marrying Non Muslims esp. southerners, even if you are a southern Muslim you still can't marry from there if you doubt me go try am and live to tell the tale, you have to marry without parents permission and run for your life.
Before Islamic ummyad entered Nigeria through the desert, we all lived not exactly as one, but we didn't hate each other, inter marriage wasn't really a big deal, but after Islam entered a line was drawn.
The agenda to dip the Koran in the Atlantic became a thing. To be achieved by fire by force and as such Yorubas were forced to convert at knife point and dagger point in the war of Ogbomosho in 1840.
To keep Islam growing worldwide bars were set against non moslem men marrying moslem women meanwhile, moslem men were encouraged to marry not just 4 wives but also marry non moslem women to procreate for Islam and kill out the infidels/Kafirs.
A woman can only produce one baby every 9 months, a man can impregnate a new woman every week, this is part of the reason Islam places value on men, let me add that almost all religions were invented by men and as such more value is placed on men but as a man in Islam the incentives and privileges you get are too much so you won't even dream of leaving.
Some examples are 1. your wife can not stop you from getting a new wife, it is a sin on her part if she does 2. you are allowed to beat your wife to correct her, it's in the koran and various haddiths. 3. Men inherit twice as much property as women 4. Mens testimonies are worth more than women so lawyers in the house know Corroboration and only children's testimonies need corroboration but in Islam women are seen as children so their testimonies need corroboration too
for non lawyers an example is if one woman said she was raped and the man said she wasn't raped the man is believed simply because he is a man and his testimony has more weight than the testimony of the victim because she is just 1 woman she needs more women or one man who saw the rape to corroborate her story to make it believable 5. Muslims with sin as heavy as mountains will be allowed into heaven while christians and Jews who have no sin will take the place of that Muslim who sinned in hell and the Muslim will take the the Christians place in heaven while the Christian burns in hell forever. 6. Moslem Men get 72 vir-jeans when they die who are more beautiful than any woman ever was on earth their 72 vir-jeans will not look at any other man in the face, they will be very loyal to the men they are assigned to, while moslem Women get fruits yeah just fruits no 6ft tall muscular young vir-jean men for them just a basket of Raisins. They can literally eat what they will eat in heaven here on earth I laughed when I read that
(Edit 2: I added 3 & 4 since you guys don't want to accept facts quietly, claiming god this, allah that, if Una quote me more I will keep increasing this list) (After I gave the warning they stopped quoting me but were dragging people who were agreeing with me so I added 5&6)
you can see that the Muslim populace will grow exponentially as opposed to the non Muslim populace so that was the plan and it seems to be working look at the growth of Islam no new converts compared to other religions, it's mostly hereditary, they are the fastest breeding religion, in Nigeria people are prevented from leaving Islam through Disinheritance and disownment from family, if you leave the religion you are disowned and you cannot inherit any property from any of your family members and you are made an outcast so people don't leave even when they want to.
If you don't believe me because you suspect every Nigerian has a tribal agenda fine and good look beyond Nigeria, look at Turkey, only 2 years ago was the ban on Muslim women marrying non Muslims lifted, a whole turkey.
This goes to show us that much of organised religion as we know it, is an instrument of social control and not a race to heaven. A particular group trying to control the rest that's all
Happy One Nigeria,
Congrats to the couple regardless.
Edit 1: I never said the man is a Muslim, The names of the couple was a good opportunity to address this glaring issue. That some Nigerians can not marry other Nigerians despite one Nigeria. Great piece... You're indeed learned. |

Vortex369: Your problem is not Relocation.
The problem is that you are a very confused person.
You are confused because within your family, you have marketed and sold the idea that your indigent country is bad and that there is a better world out there for a 60 years old to start life all over as a menial worker. Such mindset brings unhappiness and stress whenever family members read bad news or watch bad news and make them feel like leaving. It is a major cause of mental disorder. Absent mindedness while body is stuck in the location.
But........ You do not even know where you want to go to. So you do not know anything about the monthly living expense of such place and how much of the 10 million will be left after your Visa processing and tickets for 4 people. You want to go and become a refugee, cos 10m is nothing for such arrangements.
Will you stop adding your burden to other countries whose citizens sat their ass down and built their countries?
What you could do with your paltry 10m:
Have you considered intra-country relocation? There are some State Capitals where you can still get Bungalow for 6m or 7m, in clean neighborhoods, and the build a nice mini-mart for your mom with about 1m to 2m, then you all can start life there as new humans.
Stop intruding into other countries with your desperation. People built those countries. This is a savage response but still sensible at same time. |

bests: This is my Testimony…It can only be God
Timeline (6 months post AOR) CIC Account created – 20th March 2018 IELTS 5 attempt: LRWS – 8.0,7,7.5,8.5 ECA: WES -BSC and Masters Score: 464 ITA: 5th September 2018 AOR: 15th October 2018 Biometrics: 14 November 2019 MEP: 9 January 2019 PPR: 10 April 2019 COPR: 25 April 2019 Landed in Canada: 11 June 2019 First Job- 12th August 2019 VO: Ottawa Single Applicant.
I began to take the Canada hustle serious when senior colleague I really admire immigrated to Australia and Canada.
So, I had to do IELTS and WES simultaneously, registered for WES and I paid the prescribed fee which was to cover both my B.Sc from LASU and Masters from Unilag - I discovered the difference in fee between doing just B,Sc evaluation and both B.Sc and Masters is considerably low- I needed to establish contact in both schools to make the process easy, WES took about 3 months and finally concluded on 30 October, 2017. IELTS ridiculed me for my ignorance and lack of time as a banking professional, I think I wrote this exam about five 5 times, 2 of the times I missed the speaking test and finally here was my LRWS (8, 7, 7.5,8.5), armed with both WES and IELTS I applied and got my ITA on 5th September 2018
Am a bit meticulous, so I had gathered my initial documents even before acing my IELTS, documents gathering was straight forward as I was a single applicant even though I was in a serious relationship to the woman I eventually got married to.
So perhaps the most challenging after POF was my medical as I have a history of TB 13 years ago, after further checks and extra medicals I was cleared in January, 2019, medical cost about #100,000 for me, other process was going by the side, did my biometric in record time.
The Golden mail dropped around 11:30pm on April 10, 2019, I screamed 7 halleluyah and give God the glory, the first thing the next day was to go submit the passport at VFS and I received my COPR within 20days.
I booked my flight through Ethiopian airline, I almost confused Ottawa (YOW) for Toronto (YYZ), thank God for this will have been a major mistake. My flight experience was sweet, I had good in-flight entertainment and overall experience.
So, I arrived in Canada on June 11, 2019 and was welcomed to Canada with little haste, I only brought USD4,000 into Canada and spent USD1,000.00 before getting my first Job to the Glory of God and support of my friend became brother.
I started applying for jobs from Nigeria and I did my first interview on telephone though when I reached Canada the Job was gone but through friend referral, I did Job test same week I arrived in Canada- I had to choose between two(2) offers, yea, LinkedIn helped in Job search and so is personal referral (Personal referral is actually the best and can be established using LinkedIn).
Today is April 18th and I have already spent 10months of great experience in Canada...I needed to share this because I promised God to give this testimony on this platform Congratulations bro, keep shining. |

Suspectzero: It's not compulsory to suffer in order to become a good person. If that were the case, Nigeria would be full of good people but look at the state of the Country and you know that is not the case.
I don't know how you'll convince them that their Mom and Dad are over in Canada enjoying life in a developed country but want them to go through the trials and tribulations of living in a failed State just because that's what their parents went through. I hope your thinking evolves as time goes on.
I wouldn't want this for my offspring sending them back to were i escaped from. There are so many things and opportunities that happen in those formative years of teenage-hood that you would miss out on and that Nigeria would not help your kids develop. Could be sports or musical talents or IT programming. Even memories they'll create about High school. They would not be able to relate to other Canadian adults they would inevitably mingle with when they graduate and come back. It's just not right in my view.
Take them back on summer vacations for 3 months at a time, that's enough to appreciate the reality in Nigeria. But not sentencing them to 6 straight years. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Don't mind them, some People are just ignorant or do I say backward in their thoughts. They should come back to naija with their kids for the 6year period na. |

The reason I asked about your mom's pay is that I know nothing about teachers' salary in Nigeria, but with the complaints I hear from them, I assumed that their pay would be nowhere near 120K, because I never expected someone earning that to complain as much as many of them do. But your explanation that she's been in teaching for 20 years clarifies everything. The other areas are also well understood, so thanks for responding! If you are earning 120k as take home in naija, you are suffering except you are not living in any of the major cities in the South.Talking from the perspective of a family man though. |

atutupoyoyo2211: I dont get offended when people post negative stuff online because when whenever we post something online we should expect both negative and positive comments. I get encouraged by the negative comments. @opebiboy you sound like a hardworking Nigerian that is just trying to be successful like each and everyone of us. You mentioned you import cars from overseas which is an honorable business. let me tell you what i see at the site i work security. This is a 5 year construction project going on here. Every day i sign in trucks to drop off sand and gravel on the site. Now 90% of the drivers of these trucks are Indian, and what they do is that, they bring their brothers from Indian to learn truck driving under them and within 2 years, the apprentice has his own truck and then delivers on his own. Most of them then register their own company and you see the name on the truck. i am at work right now and i truck driver just came. I was registering him in the system when i asked him what company he works for, and he said the name. And i released this man, who is a born and bred Canadian is driving trucks fro and Indian immigrant. The owner of the company was still delivering today, and i talked with him,. he told me he has 3 trucks that drive for him. My bank rep once told me that, everyday she sees truck drivers and restaurant owners, who come in and they have account balances of $300k and above. Anyone in Canada can correct me if i am wrong. The longshoremen that work on our site make $50 an hour and above. And they are unionized, so their pay always goes up. One of the longshoremen on our site drives a bentley bentayga. My own Security supervisor drives a 2013 g wagon. He is from Iran. He came to Canada and worked Security and warehouse for 6 years straight, working 16 to 18 hours a day. Right now he only works 8 hours a day and his daughter also works on site as the assistant security supervisor. she is also a workaholic getting experience to be a police office. she drives a BMW X6. When my supervisor saw i was ready to work, he always gave me shifts. The purpose of this is to tell @opebiboy, it is not all about scam, people work hard, people toil day and night to succeed. You keep posting links thats says "the average Canadian this, the average Canadian that', I am not an average Canadian. I am and will be a successful Canadian through hard work. The internet says Nigerians are poor but all Nigerians are not poor. Try not to be classified as part of the average. Spot on bro,you just keep the fire burning and ignore every negative vibe. maternal: @SixSigma,
Your post is filled with Dog Whistle. Then when people call you out, you get defensive. It's like Trump saying MAGA. Minorities living in the U.S. or the west knows he really means make America white again. People who live in Canada know where you stand and what you really mean. This has nothing to do with political parties. You're masking your hatred for certain type of immigrants with that. You have adopted the ideology of an anti-immigration Canadian. This view point is usually expressed by white canadians who like to blame everything on immigration. Most refugees don't contribute. The FACTS say otherwise. Most Nigerian refugees have false claims. How do you know that ? Are you there during their court dates ?
While you walking around all high and mighty because you finally got citizenship. Just remember immigration comes in different forms. Not everyone is qualified or has the money to come in through the EE. Besides, a refugee from Syria for example who comes here because THE WEST is bombing their country, doesn't have time to fill out an EE form when bombs are dropping on them. Never bash or judge someone who's trying to migrate to Canada, regardless of how they get here. Because ultimately they're coming over for the SAME reason you came over here. To improve their lives. Spot on.Thanks a million. |
