RomanceCan You Reconcile Them? (advise Needed Please) by channel190(op):
Five years of a childless womb had prompted Pastor and Mrs. Ibem for child adoption.
Contented in love and passionate affection in caring won them the race of wariness and mockery from and within their congregation.

Pastor Ibem gave his darling wife the liberty she'd to have brought home two kids of her choice from a motherless home.
Who would have prophesied unrest for the once lovely couple?
Pastor Ibem was happy his wife did brought home the two kids but went fanatic with his order that the little girl letter named Juliet be returned with immediated effect at the moment he saw the girl properly.

That turned on the fire hidden in both couples of five wedded years. Confused but curios Mrs. Ibem requested to have returned the innocent girl only when her husband gave her tangible reason to had done so.

The peace of the family went down years ago after both couple remained hardened.
Mrs. Ibem prayed and watched her husband cried and murmured of life been cruel.
Mr. Ibem behaved unusual, ate in canteen instead of home, distanced himself from the family, lost his respect for human dignity, humiliated all who came his way.
Worst of all, insatiable demand of horrible and weird love making from his wife, same Mrs. Ibem.

A twist was marked on Juliet 12th year.
It was on her birthday celebration, Mrs. Ibem hosted all the members of 'God of Grace' church who could attend.
Pastor Ibem, though tired, exhausted and needed sleep, staggered his way from out side into the guest room.
Stopped in surprise, caught a gaze at the 12 year old girl in santa attire.
Amazed. He jumped into the people, grabbed her tight to the wall and made his hands for his pocket, brought out a digital photo camera and ordered a fellow who took snap shots of father and daughter.

Surprised! Yes,
The surprise that got tensed, Day by day, months evolved and years passed.
Pastor Ibem got closer and closer to Juliet.
Mrs. Ibem was happy to have witnessed a happy family once more.
Pastor Ibem got so fond of Juliet that he drove her around town -to school, his business functions, ceremonies and shopping-moore.
Included to have bought clothes, beverages, flower, Teddy bear and ice creams on most intrastate trips, both of them were spotted in beaches and cinemas until people called Juliet 'Dads Wife'.

It was painful to have juliet sat on podiums in the church with Pastor Ibem instead of Mrs. Ibem, yet she was pleased to have witnessed a family happy.

A relief for Mrs. Ibem came when Emmaus a school friend of Jimmy (juliet's adopted brother) spotted Juliet a damsel. He stocked and traced Juliet to Jimmy's house.
He would say to himself

"now that I know he is the elder sister to my own best friend jimmy, should I give up this damsel?"

He maneuvered his way into the hearts of not only Juliet but each and every member of the family.
He'd almost made Pastor Ibem's house his home, until Pastor Ibem had said to him

"don't sit here to wait for Jimmy, STOP seeing Juliet, I know she's NOT your FRIEND, so I expect you to wait for Jimmy your friend outside my home without Juliet"

Mrs. Ibem had supported her husband on that for fear of intimacy.

When the house was no longer a place to play, talk and dance with Emmaus,
when the house became too bored, and Pastor Ibem became a threat to Juliet happiness -Emmaus,
amidst persuasions and counter persuasions from daughter to father,
Juliet left the house for her happiness.

This finally threw the heart of a man away from Pastor Ibem, as he abandoned his pastoral work for weakness.
Mrs. Ibem was the confused person at the central of all these, in perplexity why her husband chooses to be the
'woo man version' of a man since when Juliet entered the house.

She remained kind to her dying husband!
She'd came inside Pastor Ibem's room, to talk comfort when she noticed her husband with two pictures.

-picture of Christy, on her birthday.
She wore santa dress.
Christy was the best friend of 'Mrs. Ibem' who'd been pierced died on Mrs. Ibem wedding day;

- picture of Juliet, on her birthday wearing same patterned of santa dress.

Mr. Ibem confessed to have killed Christy when she threatened never to sit and watch him get married to her best friend, when she has a few month old daughter for her.

He added
"I can't help taking Juliet for her, Christy is Juliet's mother, I promised to love her, she has gone with my life again"

(Pastor Ibem lost contact with Christy whom he loved so much as she went into hiding to protect her child till birth)

LiteratureRe: Young Authors of Nigeria (YAN) -Join Now! by channel190(m): 7:43am On Dec 28, 2012
1. Groups can arise from almost nothing
The desire to form and join a group is the best thing that can improve ones placement in the society.

2. Initiation rites improve group evaluations
Existing groups don't let others join for free: the cost is sometimes monetary, sometimes intellectual, sometimes physical—but usually there is an initiation rite, even if it's well disguised.

Aronson and Mills (1959) tested the effect of initiation rites by making one group of women read passages from sexually explicit novels. Afterwards they rated the group they had joined much more positively than those who hadn't had to undergo the humiliating initiation. So, not only do groups want to test you, but they want you to value your membership and position in associating with the society

3. Groups breed conformity
After joining a group and being initiated, we have to get a feel for the group norms, the rules of behaviour in that group. Group norms can be extremely powerful, bending our behaviours in ways we would never expect.

4. Learn the ropes or be ostracised
Group norms are extremely pervasive: this becomes all the more obvious when we start breaking them.

5. You become your job
Although groups have norms—rules that apply to everyone in the group—people have roles within groups and corresponding rules that apply to just their position.

6. Leaders gain trust by conforming
A high-profile, high-status role in any group is that of its leader, but where do leaders come from? In some groups, they are appointed or imposed from outside, but in many groups leaders emerge slowly and subtly from the ranks.

A study that has much to teach was carried out by Merei (1949) who observed children at a Hungarian nursery school. He noticed that successful leaders were those who initially fitted in with the group then slowly began to suggest new activities adapted from the old. Children didn't follow potential leaders who jumped straight in with new ideas. Leaders first conform, then only later, when trust has been gained, can they be confident that others will follow. This has been confirmed in later studies (with grown-ups!).

7. Groups can improve performance...
The mere presence of others can make us perform better. The presence of other people seems to facilitate our own performance, but more so when the task is relatively separate to others and can be judged on its own merits.

8. ...but people will loaf{hide under laziness}
In other circumstances, though, people in groups demonstrate a tremendous capacity for loafing. Another social psychology pioneer, Max Ringelmann , found in the 1890s that participants in a tug 'o war only put in half as much effort when they were in a team of 8 than when they were on their own. It seems that when hiding in the group is easy, for example when tasks are additive and each person's contribution is difficult to judge, people will slack off to an impressive degree
.

I pray this group will fish them out.

9. Groups breed competition
While co-operation within group members is generally not so much of a problem, co-operation between groups can be hellish. People may be individually co-operative, but once put in a 'them-and-us' situation, rapidly become remarkably adversarial.

SportsNFF Turns Soccer Mess Over To 13-member Committee by channel190(op): 6:50am On Dec 28, 2012
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Thursday inaugurated a 13-member 2012/2013 Premier League Management Committee, charging it to resolve the lingering problems in the league before the commencement of the new season.

The president of the NFF, Alhaji Aminu Maigari said the members led by Nduka Irabor, a former Member of the House of Representatives and former newspaper editor, were chosen based on quality of experience, broad-mindedness, capacity, proven ability, painstaking virtues, love of the game and diligence and dedication, and urged them to “quickly and conclusively” resolve the issues.

“For avoidance of doubt, this is a national assignment of no mean significance,” he said.  “The management of the top tier of the domestic League of any country has serious consequences for that nation’s football. He urged the committee to ensure that its work is guided by the rules and regulations, and by equity and good conscience.

“The nation is bigger than any single individual or corporate body, and it is the interest of the nation that we are talking about here,” he noted

obalola7: The Seventh Day: Keeping it Holy

Genesis 2

Introduction- In our last lesson, we learned on how powerful God is to pronounce into existence the creation of Heaven and Earth. In today's lesson, we will be learning how God rested on the seventh day like he enjoined us in the bible that we should keep the sabbath day holy. In this chapter God created the Garden of Eden and made woman out of the rib of a man. In the Garden he commanded that man should eat all fruits of the trees but the fruits of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil man should not eat, for the day that man eat of it, man will die. However, God saw how lonely man was, so he created woman to help him in his day to day work.

Today's Study

The creation of the heaven and earth was over and God rested. He then blessed and sanctified the seventh day after he had rested from the creation of Heaven and Earth. (Genesis 2: 1-4) However, at that time there was no rain and no man was tilling the ground. And God will make a cloud of water from the ground to evaporate in order to water the surface of the ground.(Genesis 2: 4-6)

The creation of man was not as it was on other creations, because God himself formed man with the dust(clay) of the ground and breath into his nostrils the breath of life and man became part of the living (Genesis 2: 7)

It was needed for man to have a place to live in the wide big world, so God created the garden in the east part of the land called Eden and there he housed man. Then God created from the ground everything needed to sustain man. Including fruits for vitamin, tree for shelter and part of the trees were tree of life, knowledge of good and evil.(Genesis 2: 8- 9)

In the garden of Eden was a river that parted into four to water all parts of the garden. The parted waters went into four land: piston(Havilah) of gold, Gihon(Ethiopia), Hiddekel(Assyria) and Euphrates.(Genesis 2: 10-14)

Then God put man in the garden and asked man not to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but can eat all other fruits of all trees. But if they disobey, they will die(Genesis 2: 15-17)

Then God considering the state of man loneliness, he made man an helper. However, the first man gave name to all that was created by God and he had no helper with the naming ceremony, so God made him to sleep. Then God took a rib out of his ribs and fills the missing rib with flesh. He then form woman out of the rib of man and brought her to Adam the first man. Because she was made out of man, he called her woman and they are both naked and Adam and Eve were not ashamed. (Genesis 2: 18-25)

Reflection

We might have wonder why God created man in his own image and from the dust he formed man and never pronounced man to existence like other creation. This is a refection on how God works in diverse ways and his ways are far from us. (Isaiah 55: 8 )8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

The creation of Eden is the reflection of how thoughtful and merciful God is towards his people. He made provision even before we asked. He thought of an helper for man and blessed man with woman. He also provided water to drink and also hid hidden treasures like gold where he placed the first man(Philippians 4: 19 )19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

All that God needed to bless man is obedience to his word. God commanded that man should not eat from the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, that was all that is needed to enjoy a garden made by God and customized for Adam and Eve. (Isaiah 1: 19 )19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

One of God's commandments for us as children of God is to keep the sabbath day holy as God did rested and sanctified the seventh day. As Christians we should endeavor to keep our Sunday holy. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.(Exodus 20: 8 )

Let us try to start doing as God has commanded us today and we can be sure that God will fulfill his promises. No matter what the problem we are facing, let us pray, read the bible, be obedient to his words and then expect his blessing. My prayer for you is that God will give you the grace and strength to keep God's commandment.

Psalms 119:11
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

God bless you
isaih 55:8, his ways are not our way...what was the essence of putting a fruit at the tree when it is a forbidden fruit...philosophers agreed that the fruit was no friut but the V,agina of a lady, that bible made use of euphemism.
Which ever way...u can digress more on this, but you have said it all...avoiding the literal fruit or abstaining from the euphemised fruit is a price tag for his goodness and mercy for us.
amen may he give us the grace to abide by his commandments.

obalola7: The Creation of Heaven and Earth

Genesis 1

The first chapter of Genesis told us the state of the world and how it was dark and unfounded and in total uncertainty. The scenario could be compare to the state of man when he is yet to know God. At such state man life is usually full of darkness and lot of uncertainty.

First Day

However, God look down and saw how darkness had taken over the world and he spoke, let there be light and immediately there was light. The light was needed to see clearly the confuse state on earth. When God saw the light was good, he separated lightness from darkness, by calling the light day and darkness night. (Genesis 1:1-6)

Second Day

God spoke again and separated the water on the land from the sky. (Genesis 1:7-8 )

Third Day

There was need to concentrate on the water on earth and God spoke that the water should be parked into one side to give way for the surface of the ground. The parked waters was called sea and the ground was called earth. Then the ground produced plantation such as herbs, grass and trees of all kinds. (Genesis 1:9-13)

Fourth Day

Then God spoke sun, moon and stars to existence. The sun to provide light for the day; moon and stars for the Night (Genesis 1:14-19)

Fifth Day

The almighty also spoke that the water should bring out aquatic creatures that are moving and living. Also flying fowls of the air of all kinds. And God bless them to multiply and be fruitful. (Genesis 1:20-23)

Six Day

On this day, God spoke to the earth to produce living creatures such as cattle, and every creeping things like snake, snail and their kinds.
Then God said let us make man in our own image- (the creation of man) to have dominion and power over the aquatic of the waters, fowls of the air and all terrestrial animals, including all the plantations for meat. (Genesis 1:24-31)

Reflection
The creation of heaven and earth can be compared to our state of hopelessness, trials and difficulties. During this time, God will look on us when we pray to light into our darkest world and he will then speak that the situation we are experiencing to start giving ways for peace, hope, solution, happiness and comfort.

During this time, God will then start to address the elements of the problem we are facing one after the other. He will look into those who are sick, be heal; First he will make provision for the hospital bill, then he will give the doctor wisdom and help needed to treat you well, then he will send provision your way, until you are fully recovered. The same thing apply to those in financial trap, be blessed; those barren be fruitful and many other challenges they may be facing He speaks solutions to them and immediately, your life will start regaining strength and prosperity. Amen

My prayer for you is that the almighty will visit you today and fix your world as he fixed the earth.
AMENI learned that the earth and it properties (water, cloud, land e.t.c) we see today was once fused as one.
God is the most powerful living thing, he exercised his power through his pronouncement, 'word'
