Abini2012: I am grateful to God for another opportunity to celebrate another milestone in my life. Many started this journey of life with me but sadly ended along the way. The race is not to the swift but to whom He showeth mercy. Thank you Lord for yet another year.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! Happy Birthday. May your path keep shining brighter |

fatima04: Hmmn, it is not a lie as it is being treated here. When I was filling this form my interpretation of the question is "is the dependant coming with you to the UK" simply because the superceding explanation states this" is to enable you put in their passport information details for when your dependant applies" which they will have to fill an independent application.
I believe this is just for verification purposes only to match up the details of the principal and dependants
When filling for Tier 2 with dependants you want to be careful, especially when the COS covers them for fund maintenance requirement.
For example, when applying for NI, a question asks where was your visa issued (my BRP clearly states UK) but in reality DWP wants you to choose Nigeria. When my friend assumed differently and chose UK, he got called in for an interview for a false misinterpretation.
This is in no way trying to justifying lying on applications/ang scenario because it just complicates your life out in tying loose ends. Thanks fatima04... She filled No afterwards. Thanks for taking the time to understand |

justwise: Asking a question for clarification is different from asking to know if you can get away with lies. You probably didn't read the question well. You think everyone who asks a simple question has some negative motive in mind. |

LagosismyHome: Someone who fills an application based on truth will not ask that question How do you know that? |

justwise: I think its necessary because the action of one person affect all of us, we should call it out each time somebody come out publicly seeking for a way to circumvent a system.
Sometimes we Nigerians take extraordinary step to do the wrong thing even when doing the right thing is easier. Baba it was simple question to gain clarity. You don't need to jump into unnecessary conclusions. To have asked means someone needed guidance. Offer it and stop splitting hair over nothing |

fatima04: If you have submitted, there shouldn't be a problem as plans can change, but if you havent just change it once and for all.
Note that if current COS covers for dependants he has to apply within 3months before it expires, if not then the principal has to fulfil the required minimum income for 6months or so Thanks fatima04 |

missjekyll: I m not quite happy with the tone of this reply. I preferred the first two replies. Lying is not an exclusive preserve of Nigerians. Babies start to lie before they can talk. Poster only wanted to know whether there are any advantages to adding an extra passport number when applying.
I cant help though poster. I dont think it ll reduce the cost of the visa so just answer no and jump and pass. Tier 2 visa are usually walk overs anyway as they need your tax to finance f***ing brexit Thanks my dear. I ignored those already pissing themselves over lies. Just asked for a simple guidance. |

Good morning everyone. This thread has been enlightening for some of us silent followers.
A have a question.
Principal is applying for tier 2, she is not going with her husband now, he would come later. But she ticked that he would be traveling with her so that should could add his passport number to her application. He would apply in about 3 months time.
Would this affect the application in any way? Or should she tick no? |

Aphrodite007: I am not sure how correct this is. Before 2018 the embassies received all wedding certificates both local and federal. But there was a circular in the newspapers that the embassies are only going to recognise federal.
I didn’t want to test the waters with my own spousal visa so I just went to a federal court and did mine to avoid stories that touch. So unless someone that did their spousal visa in 2018 says that they used their local govt wedding cert, I think it’s best to just do the federal. A friend got married this year, in the east and his court certificate from the east was accepted by UKBA/UKVI spouse granted visa |

Nemsy: Other good agencies are: 1) https://www.surreyandsussex.nhs.uk/working-for-us/nursing/ 2) https://hclworkforce.com/ 3) https://www.medacs.com/recruitment-services
quote author=DAramis post=80232988] Thanks.
The 3 agencies that was dropped, only 2 has functional websites... I think the idea of the agency paying for the CBT test would be preferable (if it ends up that she can't afford the fee).
The cv aspect is to enable her to draft adequate one that can enable her attract the agencies with respect to job opportunities. You can redact the cv to protect some information of yours (IE removing some personal informations you wish not to share or changing it).
Thanks once more for the reply. PM sent. You can drop other agencies name you know of... Just trying to get various options to explore. I'd strongly suggest u pay for ur cbt urself... Get your result and in charge of your process.. Don't bind urself to one agency... Once they pay it you're bound to use them.. |

DAramis: One of the sections is 6.5 (writing probably) while others are 7(minimum) That's the needed result for nmc R, L, S, W 7, 7, 7, 6.5 so let the person proceed and register on nmc site and book for CBT exams |

DAramis: Hello ma'am,
Can you be able to share the recruitment company you used for the processing, a sample of cv, and any specific band needed for the IELTS?
That notwithstanding, can someone who recently graduated be able to apply for nursing job in the UK.. Had enough clinical experience....
I am asking for a friend who I believe it would be of use to.... has ielts though I don't know the band scores yet.
Cc nemsey, charisjay, queengift What's the persons IELTS result? |

crushsugar: After IELTS, you have every employer/agents running after you because they are in need of nurses. It wasn't difficult at all. It is possible to apply directly to a hospital but by my own observations, it is more stressful. I applied through an agency. Please do not pay any agent because they are being paid by the employers for their job. After my IELTS, I sent my CV to my agency which I consider very professional, judging from the openness on their site. They set me up for a Skype interview, and I got the job. After that all the paper work began and I took the CBT exam; UK Nursing competency part 1 exam. The part 2 which is OSCE would be done in the UK. I hope I have answered your questions correctly. Have you gotten your nmc decision letter? Or can one go to UK before getting decision letter? |

perfectme: Hello house,
I've followed this thread from the beginning and I was earnestly hoping that someday I too will be able to share my experience of living in the UK. And finally I got the break I was hoping for, got to UK late last year on a tier 2 visa.
I'm in Salisbury ( Wiltshire ), it's a small but lovely town, there are few blacks here from different African countries cos by their accent you shall know them and some few Nigerians.
My flight down here was amazing, had a stop over at Dubai airport then finally Heathrow the next morning plus i got a window sit.
I had just one luggage which weighed 22kg plus one hand luggage, no food stuffs cos I like travelling light. Just my clothes plus winter kit .Was really prepared for that and was disappointed when I got to London and there was no snow ( don't yab me please )
My employer arranged an airport pick up for me plus accommodation so it was easy getting to my accomodation and they already got me a giffgaff sim card which only gave me unlimited phone calls and sms to UK numbers plus 3g data.
I've been able to get around town, got my BRP, opened an account with HSBC, registered with a gp and all
Found an asian store, the only one in Salisbury. They have basically everything from indomie to garri to yam, palm oil, egusi, semo even wooden mortar.
I generally do my shopping at tesco and pounland for groceries and charity shops for shoes and clothes in the mean time. I hope to upgrade when my account gets bigger . Plus I found the brioche bread at tesco , I finally felt like I was eating bread after a long time, not all those tasteless oyinbo bread.
I've really learnt a lot from this thread and I'm happy to be here finally. Just want to say thank you to all the people that added useful information to this thread and kept it going
P.S I made my own UK survival guide from all the information I got here. Congrats. I am considering a job at Salisbury. Can I email u pls. Need to know a thing or two about that town |
