From the amount debited from the card. You can tell the customer you will debit some amount or you just add something to the amount you are debiting

InvestmentRe: CBN Warns Nigerians Against “MMM”, Calls It Wonder Bank by charismaticdave(m): 11:42am On Sep 16, 2016
shogat:
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has warned Nigerians to be careful of any deposit money institution that is not insured by the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) especially the trending MMM Nigeria community.

The bank through its the acting Director of Corporate Communications, Mr. Isaac Okoroafor, made this known yesterday against the proliferation of wonder banks in the country in recent times.

Okoroafor said such deposit money institutions were dubious present Ponzi schemes.

“At times like this when the economy has suffered some decline, Nigerians should be very careful with those they deal with. Any institution that is not licensed by the CBN to accept deposits should not be given money to keep under any guise,” he advised.

He warned Nigerians to beware of the so-called wonder banks, explaining that they were makeshift institutions to dupe people.

“We can vouch for the banking system. The deposit money banks are the only licensed institutions to take deposits. If you need to deposit money in any form, go to any of the deposit money banks and put your money, you can buy fixed income instruments or invest in stocks,” he said.

Okoroafor said the CBN could not guarantee the unregistered institutions, insisting that when depositors lose money to them, the bank would not be able to help them.

“These people always come with very interesting propositions. These are fraudsters who are just out there to collect people’s money and run away as soon as they hit their target. There is no insurance because the NDIC does not even protect them against such risks when they occur,” the CBN said.

He said the CBN was intensifying efforts and liaising with the various security agencies to identify the promoters of these schemes and have such persons arrested and prosecuted, adding that anyone caught with them would also be made to face the law.

Promoters of wonder banks and other pyramid schemes in the country are currently taking advantage of the rising level of unemployment as well as the shrinking disposable income to attract unsuspecting prey.

From Lagos to Port Harcourt and some other big cities in the country, owners of these illegal businesses have been offering Nigerians mouth-watering interest rates, which cannot be found in the banking system, in a bid to attract large number of customers before they run away with huge cash.

For instance, at the Ojuelegba area of Lagos, THISDAY was recently given a small handbill advertising investment schemes that offers 30 per cent returns in 30 days.

Also, there is a new Ponzi scheme called ‘MMM’ that is spreading like wildfire. A lot of young school leavers have already signed on to this scheme, which the promoters are marketing as a “mutual fund.”

“MMM offers its participants 30 per cent growth rate per month for each and every donation they make into the system… MMM belongs to the community, its sustainability depends on the activities of the people that make up the MMM Nigeria community, that is me and you and other MMM Nigeria participants,” the promoters wrote in an online advertisement.

Typically, what promoters of such pyramid scheme do is that they offer rates far beyond what is obtainable in commercial banks. This would always attract a lot of people who would always rush in to stake their funds. But, those who join the scheme late would always be the ones to lose their shirts as they would have been convinced by those that joined earlier to invest huge amounts of money.

But experts have warned against falling for the bait of illegal deposit-taking institutions which are not licensed by the CBN, saying that their only intention is to defraud members of the public.

Recall that with the Nigerian economy is in recession, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) recently revealed that the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) contracted by 2.06 per cent in the second quarter of 2016, compared to the negative growth of 0.36 per cent recorded in the first quarter of 2016.

Also, national unemployment rate also rose to 13.3 per cent in the second quarter of 2016, from 12.1 in the first quarter of 2016.

MMM is not a wonder bank for your information, we are a community that help one another, we do not involve in any politics or registration, we help one another out, we are neither a bank, An organisation, an investment or a HYIP but we are here to liberate the common man from the slavery of so-called slave masters like CBN.
CBN is not ready to help the Nigerian masses. Nigerian masses are helping one another, you are beefing. please we are not a wonder bank not to talk of a bank. we don't pay our money to a central account and we will never.

long live MMM

Just as you rightly pointed out, different strokes for different folks, but have you sat down to critically think about how much you will be saving, how much you won't have saved if you can hold on to the one you have, just a while longer.

It is not a poor man's advice but a crazy man advice. but have you ever seen any successful person that was not called crazy?

parrotibaba:
@op the question everyone is angling to ask is this

"Is it your money?"

Folks hv different needs n preferences. Just because u don't want to change ur phone cos of money constraints you now expect another folk to be like u. Do u know that the cost of changing the parts of certain phones r more than the cash that will get u a brand new one? What about the folks that hv a laptop but still need to change their phone? I for one can't use a phone for more than a year n half without changing. Like someone rightly said, this is a poor man's advice.
HealthWhat's The Best Diapers? by charismaticdave(op): 2:03pm On May 19, 2015
I hear lots of people arguing about Diapers, from market women to nursing mothers. what's the best diapers, aside from the fact that not a diapers are pampers, people still categorise all diapers to be pampers.

for correction: Pampers is just a product name manufactured by PG. Other diapers like Mr. Charles, Dr. Brown are all products of other companies manufacturing Diapers.

people mix these together and classify them as one. Note that

Quality: when you talk about quality, it's not quantity. it's not characterised by numbers of diapers in a pack. this is just about the number of times it can be reused and how much it really works.

I bought a diaper for my baby some time ago and guess what, when the baby pooed, it was leaking as if there were no diapers at all.

It's not about how many are in a pack but how long it can last.

so for me Pampers carries the day. Pampers is the best.

what's your best diaper?

As majority of these engineers do not think outside the box and doesn't want to learn, we will be posting a step by step guide on how we networked and wired the site here on Nairaland.

CultureWhy We Need To Go Back To The Roots by charismaticdave(op): 3:37pm On Apr 09, 2015
WHY WE NEED TO GO BACK TO THE ROOTS
In a modern Nigerian setting, a typical Nigerian Youth does not even trust his/her own shadow. But once upon a time, this was not so, during the days of our forefathers, they put their wares outside and places stones to denote the amount the wares was sold. Anyone that wants to buy the wares puts the equivalent amount under the wares and walks away with his/her goods without the physical presence of the seller.
According to research conducted by the University of Florida, a group of 5 monkeys were introduced into a room, in the room was a ladder, on the ladder were bunch of banana and a pot of hot water. Anytime any of the monkeys attempts to climb the ladder to eat the said banana, the hot water pours on the monkey, the monkeys took turns until all of them have tasted the pain of the water. So anytime any monkey wants to climb the ladder, the remaining 4 monkeys gang up and give the errant monkey the beating of its life. So every week a new monkey is introduced and when the new monkey attempts to climb the ladder, it also receives the beating of its life. After five weeks, all monkeys have been replaced. By this time the water has become cold, but because it has become the statuesque, any monkey that attempts to climb the ladder is always given the beating of its life.
That’s how we all have become, we have been rerouted by our environment that Nigeria Society is decaying, that the values of the homes are eroding, that there is no longer integrity in the society, we have believed this and we have started working with this in our psyche.
In a personal example, am an MTN data reseller and when I started, people I met online, people I chatted with, were all scared about doing business with me, they always say something to me which I can still remember vividly, ’Hope you won’t run away with my money o’. I always tell them to trust me and they say that people are not to be trusted. That’s how we have become, that how bad it has become. But I always try my best to allay their fears by always sending them their data within the five minutes in other to prove my integrity to them. Now the story has changed, they can send me money and even wait till the next day because I have always proved my worth to them.
So we need to start believing in ourselves, only then can we believe in one another. Let us raise as one and become what we really want to become and stop the decay that has eroded our dignity.

SportsRe: Zlatan Ibrahimovic Now Has His Own Search Engine by charismaticdave(m): 7:30pm On Apr 08, 2015
Having conquered football, Zlatan Ibrahimovic now wants to take on Google.

The Sweden and Paris Saint-Germain star has been blessed with his very own search engine – and while we're pretty sure Zlatan didn't pull the trigger on this idea, it's a pretty cool tribute to one of the beautiful game's most divisive characters.

It's basically Google with a Zlatan logo.

The newly established zlaaatan.com acts like a regular search engine but with only one difference – it automatically adds 'Zlatan' to whatever it is you're searching, and re-directs you to a page of Google search results.

Also, no matter what you're trying to search, hitting the "I'm feeling Zlatan" button takes you to the Wikipedia page of Scandanavia's biggest export since Ikea.

We're not totally sure that the Zlatan search engine is going to catch on.

Am building a mini cybercafe with at least 6 systems, hopefully it will expanded to 10.

All equipment have been purchased. but you will be the one to buy the cables, the switch and the bridge and workmanship will be included in your proposal.

My company is at Akure, Ondo State.

Write a proposal to this effect and email it to networkcharismatechnologies@gmail.com.

Note: I will love to use a bridge. if you have any other suggestions, add it, it might be a plus for winning the contract.

thanks

Please don't send me emails about being able to work with me, let your proposal do the talking.

Lots of people do not really understand that the way you look is the way you are addressed.
A normal proposal should be two, one in Microsoft Word and the other with Excel.

InvestmentWhy Do Nigerians Live Above Their Means by charismaticdave(op): 2:52pm On Mar 27, 2015
Lots of Nigerians presently live above their means, in terms of lifestyle, in terms of dressing, just to mention a few.
A typical Nigerian mostly believe that when he/she dies, that's the end. No legacy, nothing to be remembered for. This has made integrity eroding in the society which has made greed, corruption and lies to rule the country.
People tends to appreciate success even if they don't know the source of the said wealth. Success to a Nigerian is not how much you have invested but how much do you have at hand.
People wants to see how much your ride is worth? how beautiful is your wife? how much do you spend in the club. which has made people to start living fake and false lives in other to impress others, when all they should be worried about is how to impress themselves.
A graduate that doesn't have any means of income in Nigeria will be waiting for the government to start distributing monies or jobs when he/she can start up something little on her own. And when the job is finally gotten and the pay is 50,000 naira. the individual has prepared a personal budget of 75,000. which will make the person on worried on how to get the extra 25,000, which will either result in stealing of public funds and term it smartness. And anyone that wants to chart his/her own way in life is either called a fool, a dullard or not smart enough.

To this end, i implore all Nigerians to imbibe the culture of financial literacy or financial prudence in other to become better in life.

Thanks

Kenai:
Hahahahaaa! Oh ma days! grin

I have said this before and I will say it again - Fashola can only be exalted by the ignorant and uninformed.
Fashola is and has always been a mediocre bum gassed up by the syncophantic Lagos media hype, an unwarranted self-importance and a vainglorious sanctimony of unprecedented proportions.

Swell! Here our saviour comes again, dear Fashola, with his 3,500 cameramen as they commission his latest revolutionary project - A water tap!
Fashola commissions his latest 1billion-naira-per-kilometre road - Eko oni baje ooo!
Fashola and his 3,500 cameramen have turned on the streetlights - Eko oni baje ooo!
Fashola earmarks 4 billion naira for Christmas lights along our express road - Eko oni baje ooo!

But when the yearly rainy season comes in and turns the city into a modern-day Atlantis, watch his hungry internet dogs frantically search for someone else to blame. That's when you suddenly remember Lagos is "below sea level". That's when you suddenly start reading stories about how evil the locals are for "blocking the drainage canals with their filth" like the Lagos State Sanitation Department doesn't exist for a reason.
The Lekki Free Trade Zone is designed, constructed and commissioned on Twitter. The 4th Mainland Bridge is linking Lagosians to California on the pages of Osun Defender. Even the Lekki International Airport has planes landing and taking off to the Bermuda triangle, but this same turncoat has the nerve to point at others.
Under his watch, LASU tuition was jacked up to 250,000 with no infrastructural development to match the unjust hike. Thousands had to drop out under this man. But funny enough, this price hike still didn't stop his LASU from losing its NUC accreditation in various departments, including but not limited to Biology and Chemistry. But nobody talks about this.
He lambasts the president at every chance he gets, but on his failed lightrail project, he had to import 30 year old rusty decommissioned trains to fool his gullible praise-singers. As soon as his project failed, in his typical cowardly fashion, he had to turn around and blame the federal government for not bailing him out of his self-inflicted shame.

This clown talks about corruption; but tell him to sign the Freedom of Information bill and watch him sweat.
Only the ignorant exalt him. grin

You can start by selling it in pieces, you'll have more gain than selling bags.

Then, you can start selling in bags later.

PS: Depends on how you'd be willing to sell & it also depends on the area you'd be selling them.

I hope this helps.
