Ocool: Kai! You just gave me an assignment. Ok, I don get the answer with the help of Google as follows:
What Is Eastern Time? Eastern Time (ET) is the easternmost time zone in the United States. It is also used in Canada.
Almost half of the population in the USA live in the ET time zone. It spans from northern Canada and all the way south to Panama near the equator.
In North America, Eastern Time shares a border with Atlantic Time (AT) in the east and with Central Time (CT) in the west. Lmao… thanks jareh! So it’s Eastern time but not used in Africa |

eseosaaa: Good evening house I am a second time applicant My first application was a month and 27 days(i started counting from the day i submitted my application) before I got my refusal letter and my second application is almost getting to two months now. Do I need to be worried as I heard second time applicants do receive decisions faster?
I have sent countless webforms and emails to Nairobi, lagos, accra,London abuja yet Nothing. they haven't even updated my medical and biometrics
And also when submitting my application I didn't include a picture of I and my sponsor. Do I need to do that? There is absolutely nothing to be worried about… every application is different… more than the time frame, you should be more interested in getting an approval… I’ve seen second application of 7 months that still got a refusal and another of 7months that was approved |

Ocool: Yes, you are right and it is because GCkey is set to use Canadian time.
But the people that process and update applications from Nigeria are in their Nairobi Office. That was why mentioned Nairobi. Oh! Okay… I even thought it was Nairobi time oh… Plus that “ET” what does it even mean? I was translating it as Eastern time |

FaithCanny: So sorry I am sending it late.
First time Application: Feb. 20, 2022 Refusal : May 30th, 2022 Based on Personal Asset and Financial status
I was dazed when I received this hot breakfast but I had earlier applied for my GCMS notes and it came in July. Quickly contacted Makano, the instrument God used for me, he did not disappoint. He had time for my questions, would not give me space to relent when I felt like giving up. I had lump sums and no documentation to back it up fortunately, Makano noticed I could use my statement since the large amount were from my employer and was stated there. Makano did a good job on the LOE and SOP, afterwards I applied.
2nd Application: July 30, 2022 Eligibility has not started till now and background check still ongoing. 12th September 2022 - PPR
It is God o! My hope and trust was on God. I keep checking to ensure the its still there. Eligibility started but wasn’t updated… it happens a lot. Congratulations |

Teeedeee: My Testimony is full, the Lord has settled me and my family.
Family application for three: Study Permit for me, Open Work Permit for my husband and Vistors Visa for my daughter.
Here is our Timeline:
Upfront Medicals 24th March, 2022. Application submitted 29th May, 2022. Biometrics completed and updated 2nd June, 2022. Medicals passed for my husband and I 3rd June, 2022. Eligibility started for me 3rd June, 2022. Medicals passed for my daughter 27th July, 2022. Ordered GCMS notes 19th July, 2022. Recieved GCMS notes 23rd August, 2022. Eligibility for my husband and daughter started on the 25th of August, 2022.
PPR for my daughter - 6/9/2022. BVL for me - 6/9/2022. PPR for me - 10/9/2022. BVL and PPR for my husband -12/9/2022
In total we had seven (7) ghost updates.
After about a month of submitting our application, I realized that I uploaded IMM1294 in place of IMM5645. I printed the form and sent it as an email and webform. I later saw this information in my GCMS notes.
To everyone waiting for PPR, keep up the faith. Your PPR will come and Canada will favour us all.
University of Ottawa is my destination. Is there any group for uOttawa students? This news is beautiful… Congratulations to you and yours |

Redemption77: Thank you, My bad, it(GCkeys) was before the biometrics.. My worry is that I haven’t heard from them since the biometrics.. You won’t hear from them till they request for medicals if you haven’t done it upfront.: your biometrics will be updated. Application processing time is 12weeks or more. So just wait it out |

Admission letter and LOI are the compulsory ones… others they randomly ask in no particular order. The people that traveled recently were only asked of Passport and LOI… but it’s good to have everything because Enrollment letter can be asked of and others Yes, you can print it out and go with it… but for those their statement is much like over 4k or even 7k pages, I don’t think it’s necessary to print out… Let’s wait for others |

Redemption77: Thank you, after my biometrics that day(1st sept), I created a profile on the Canadian portal, using GCkeys. Since then, I haven’t gotten any message from the IRCC, whether through email or the portal that I opened. I heard it would take at least three working days or so, but today’s already 13th. I don’t understand. How is it that you did biometrics before creating a GCKey? You can mail me let me understand you correctly… Creating a GCKey is the 1st thing to do, then you apply and pay for your application and biometrics, IRCC will send you a letter to go for biometrics. So how did you get the instruction letter you used for biometrics? |

RE: validity of your biometric information Thank you for providing your biometric information (i.e. digital fingerprints and photograph) in support of your temporary resident application to Canada. The purpose of this letter is to notify you that your biometric information is valid until (yyyy/mm/dd) for subsequent temporary resident applications to Canada.
Is this what is known as BVL. You got the letter where? Is it in your portal? What is the name written there? Or was it a mail? |
