olokings: Hello Fam, Just to drop my 50 cent and hopefully give someone insight.
So I've been looking for accommodation in New Brunswick Fredericton for some days now without success.
I applied for UNB residence (I'm going for post grad in Fredericton) and even though I was super late, my application was granted.
Application fee was charged from my student account which was already funded with form A.
Now here comes the icing, they started in their site that I can pay room deposit in my local currency using CIBC and I decided to test it with a $CAD50.00 deposit. Behold to my amazement, I was charged N17772 (surcharges included), meaning they processed it at $CAD1 = N420 which is a great deal. Saves me a whole lot of black mkt stress n forex delays...
By the way, I would like to be added to the Nigerian Association in Fredericton whataapp group.
Thanks Hi, from my calculations it’s actually $CAD1=355.44 |

XtyOgor4g: Please I have a question to ask my thoughts why does some application get approved faster than the other no matter how early you submit what could be the factor. Same apply to start of eligibility I think you should mail the VO and ask them. They will be in a better position to answer you |

Thank you. You don’t receive it with PPR. It comes after passport must have been stamped i guess |

Benstephen9: I’m so grateful to God… I can’t believe I’m sharing my story..
It all started at October 2021, firstly I tried USA and I was denied without even knowing the reason. My application was handled by course mate in undergraduate here in Nigerian. He travelled to Canada last year and did his application and visa by himself… he is a genius sha… He assured me I will get Canada that I should give it a try.. he helped me in all the processes without taken a fee that if my visa get approved I can appreciate him(there are good people)
So he helped me in my admission and I got admitted in to 2 different school. He wrote all my SOP for all my admission
On January 25th 2022 he submitted my visa after which I knew about naira land. So i noticed that we have to state our visa denial from reading the thread. I initially ignored it so I got information from this thread to send web form of which I sent by immediately.
Looongggggg wait Order gcms note it says “recommend interview” some say it is a positive sign..
Lonnggg wait emailing Mp none replied me.
On. 17 August I got Bvl without decision.. I just gave up. I was depressed after all this long wait I will be denied (my mind telling me). My friend that did my application drafted a mail to send to them after 10 days of wait. On Monday 29th August I emailed them by 7:00am and by 11:30 am my ppr dropped.
Because of depression I travelled to stay with my parents so I got the good new with them(family is everything)
First time applicant Submitted 25th January 2022 Medical pass 14 February 2022 Bvl 17th August Ppr 29 August
Special thanks to my friend ikebobo and his brother Emeka(you guess are friends that can be called brothers) I didn’t pay any fee. The confidence and encouragement. And thanks to Nairaland Canada thread for your assistance I really appreciate Congratulations oh |

I will say this, CRYSTAL, GOD BLESS YOU! ONCE AGAIN, GOD BLESS YOU!! GOD BLESS YOU!!! She finished everything and send it to me, and also gave me some procedures to follow which I did and I kept waiting but I never stopped resending additional documents until IRCC told me documents are received by the responsible office. Sometimes the waiting period can be draining. You may cry a lot, get tired, plan to quit or give up but please don't forget to go back to God's word and affirmations for you. It will be there to reassure you when you feel drained.
It will surely end in Praise!!! |

jimogh111: Praise God!!!! What God cannot do does not exist.
Hi Everyone,
I am here to share my testimonial and also drop the timeline of my SOWP application which I already shared on the Spousal Open Work Permit (SOWP) thread but thought it wise to also come back here to share it as well since it all began here. It hasn’t been an easy road but God finally completed His work and to Him I return all the glory. This was my second SOWP visa application as I had put in my first application together with my wife’s first study permit application early 2021 and both applications got refused. We had initially retained the services of a very reputable IRCC registered consultant in Canada and spent so much for this service, so getting a refusal on both applications had taken us off balance. In that confusion and desperation for a quick solution, I had gotten online and discovered this Study Permit thread on Nairaland which I thoroughly read through for weeks and kept coming across a particular name with people singing his praises and how he helped transform their cases and refusals to approvals through his detailed touch “Frankrobb”, I took a leap of faith and reached out to him and I must confess, that was one of the greatest decisions I ever made. After consulting with him, we agreed my wife applied alone for her second study permit application and when she gets the visa and arrives Canada, I apply for my SOWP to join her which we did and here we are, all visas finally approved to the praises, glory and thanks to God almighty. I want to also use this medium to appreciate Mr Frank for his hard work and also being a blessing to my family’s application success, your cup will never run dry, men will favour you and come to your aid before you ask. Amen.
My timeline:
Application submitted on 9th May, 2022.
Biometric was from previous application and was updated on 11th May, 2022.
Did upfront medicals on 5th May, 2022 that was submitted with my application documents.
Medicals didn’t update until July 15th when I decided to disturb IRCC Nairobi and Abuja in July through emails and webforms.
PPR on yesterday, 29th August, 2022.
Documents submitted:
The basic IRCC forms from their website, My SOP, My bank statement, Bank reference letter, Employment Appointment letters, My Bachelors and Masters Degree Certificates, Marriage certificate, Newspaper publication for wife’s change of name, Sworn Affidavit of wife’s name change, Trad and White wedding Pictures, family pictures with parents and siblings, COVID vaccination card, National ID Card, Upfront Medical Sheet, Old and new International Passport Biodata pages, Police Certificates (Nigeria and UK), NYSC Certificate, Passport Photo, WES Assessment, SSCE Certificate, Landed property documents, Car documents, Professional Certifications, Leave letter, Work ID card, Payslips for 6months, CV, Work Promotion letter, Birth certificate, past visa pages and stamps on my passport, wife’s study visa, wife’s study permit, wife’s admission letter, wife’s school ID card, wife’s enrollment letter, wife’s letters of Authorization and Invitation, wife’s passport bio data page, wife’s social insurance number(SIN) document, wife’s full tuition payment receipt.
I wish everyone here God’s favour and good luck and I do hope that this post encourages and gives fresh hope to someone on this journey because with God all things are possible. Thanks all. Blessings Big Congratulations |
