Mekurexx:
Hello. I like the way you addressed his experience with amp reasons and points. Your last comment was top notch. Most folks just go to cram the history of the school and don't give clear cut responses when asked such questions. I feel you bro

Thanks very much... God bless

olandex:
sorry am undergraduate student from polytechnic and am going for my undergraduate course in USA as a transfer student

UG? Then you're exempted from writing the RA/TA test. Defer your admission and write the October edition of SAT.
Don't you forget to read the approved and denied visa transcripts here. RA/TA means Research & Teaching Assistanships

.

olandex:
good morning there, is not that I didn't trust in your words but I have to know the reason for denied and I have also booked another appointment before posting my experience for my attempted, now I have given my 3rd attempted, and I was also denied, the interview goes like this, vo:were are you working? Me: told, vo:what did you do Dre? me:I worked as a system analysis, I DESIGN DEVELOP AND TEST APPICATIONS FOR THE CLIENTS, vo :wat kind of applications you develop and test, me:I told him, vo:which school will you be going? Me : southern Connecticut state university, vo :y? Me: although it was recommended by my uncle, whom also finished his master degree at dsame university, and I also went for research to no what special in university, and I found out that this university was founded as a teacher college in 1893 AND SCSU has been evolved over the past century into a comprehensive university offering 114 graduate and undergraduate programs. More than 700 faculty members lead students through a wide range of studies and research specialties and southern Connecticut state university is accredited by the Connecticut board of governors for higher education. Vo:which cause? Computer science?vo:y me: cos it related to my previous study and I ve got a strong interest in the field. Vo: which course w you b taking em, em hmm subject? Me: I mentioned, he heard something like program, and he asked me mention types of programming language, me: high level language, low level language. He didn't let me finish my words, did you take any exams,. Me: it was not necessary for Nigeria student from polytechnic to get admission to us and others country. Vo:I don't mean TOEFL SAT GRE, I mean RA, TA EXAM, I DON'T understand the meaning, and I said no, and said who is sponsoring you? I said my father, and he started typing, and said I am sorry I can't give you visa this time I wish you best of luck next time, and I asked him y, he told me I w found it in the paper he gave me, and I said it's cus I don't take any test? He said am sorry I have another person to attend to. Pls meaning of RA, TA EXAM

Sorry for the denial. MS students in Computer Science can be offered Teaching and
Research
Assistantships.
1. In your case, no test was written, not even RA & TA.

2. No cogent reason for choosing the school. Your reasons of choosing the school dance around your uncle. Why not go for an extensive research on what this school will offer you. The transcripts jere are not just for record keeping. Read transcripts.

3. Why this course? Tell, the VO how the course will help you in your home country when you return after studies. Like saying you will stand a higher ground in taking over the position of IT Consultant in your dad's coy.

Elparaiso:
transcript?

I congratulate you on your success today. However, the culture here is you post your interview questions & answers after your visa interview. Since you just discovered this thread today, you are not mandated but help your brothers by posting your interview transcript.

You must be a comedian. Go join Ali Baba

RIP gr8ever

Jonwesley:
Or the correct spelling rather, not the correct word!

And I'm happy to be corrected, thanks. Obviously I never noticed it, i goofed while quoting you. So what is the import of your correction, when according to you we are not in English class. Pot calling kettle black.

Abeg no harms. You don win o.

Jonwesley:
That's the point. I guess the owner of the post took the correction politely and would have moved on. But you cried more than the bereaved as your actions have shown. Note Americans don't own the language, they also learnt it as we did, but created a form of English language acceptable to them. Our English is from Queens land. Get it now? Don't call me "over sabi proffessors ".... What was your purpose of correcting my usage of "u" instead of "you" ? So i can no longer shorten my words which everybody does here?

It is not "proffessors", the correct word is "professors".

Jonwesley:
Whatever, non admittance of being wrong is doing urself a whole lot of harm. What a disgrace.,

After all, I wasn't the one you corrected.

Bro, just pay a visit to an american forum and you will notice errors but no one has the time to correct one another. Nigeria has not been moving forward because of "over sabi" professors like you. No offence.

Jonwesley:
What is wrong with a harmless correction? Must U be in an English class to correct a bad spelling or wrong usage of English?

It's not 'U', the correct spelling is 'you'.

Having been through all the comments, I noticed some blame it on the government. They forgot that credentials is meant to be an added value but the have turned it to their worst enemy. No wonder Obasanjo said Nigerian youths don't think. The truth is if you are yet to conduct feasibility study before graduation, you don't have any other option but to join the army of unemployment. Study China and be wise

Jonwesley:
You mean skim? How come, skip? The op made good points but marred by wrong usage of tenses. A place he wrote "their" instead of "there".

Are we in an english class?

sirugos:
Too long to read

That's too long to read? No wonder they say if you want to hide anything from a Nigerian, put it inside a book because he will never read it.

tafrica:
