Building backlinks by commenting is an old fashion seo techniques which could backfire. Commenting by using anchor keyword instead of your brand name is definitely going to backfire. My advise- make your website/blog into something your audience will love, share and link to. Then you are building links that can help you rank and , you referral traffic |
I think you made a major mistake by not seeking the right advice before going to niit to learn. No school can teach you everything you need to know about any subject matter. What you need is to have a general idea of what the area of expertise is eg web design and now specialise in an area you want to be a professional in. So in real life, you learnt web design. Do you want to be a php expert, or html or graphic or even javascript etc. When you have a job, work on your core expertise and then outsource other areas. That way you are likely to grow faster. I am not saying you can be a jack of all trade but a time will come, you will realise that you might need to focus so the earlier the better |
oyetpel:If I were you, I will start with the question "how can I provide something that my audience will like". When you do this, all other questions will be answered |
What was the reason for the manual action. Was it a complain about a bad backlink profile? If it is,there are two routes depending on how bad it is. I am also assuming this is your first manual notification. 1. Stop whatever backlink action you are engaged in. If you have hired an seo expert, try and get all the information you can about where they built backlinks for you 2. Download all your backlinks 3. Analyse them. Sort them into good, bad and ugly 4. Remove the bad, ugly 5. Submit a reconsideration request. The second option is to ignore the websit and simply start afresh. For thin content issue, simply consolidate your webpage contents. I hope that helps. |
Ask whatever information you want and I will do my best to answer it. |
Google will show web pages based on a lot of factors one of which is called "personalisation". What this means is that if we both search for the same keyword,we might see different results. The best way to know where your website ranks is to add Google search console to your website. This tool will show you, your website rankings and the KWDS you rank for. As long as your website appears when you search using brand keyword, then you have nothing to fear. With regards to appearing on a certain page for a particular keyword, it is a different ball game |
afrideo:Thank you. I feel terrible when people come out and make all sort of statement like how to rank using this or that. There is only one way to rank high in Google. Build or have something awesome and make people link to it. |

Hmmm. Here is how I would approach this issue. First read the list of common interview questions here http://icsjobportal.com/blog/job-interview-questions/ Then search Quora or Google for questions that relate to your industry. I hope that helps |
Naturally, I would have kept quiet but for the sake of other people who might need to know, I will show example of this. I have worked on numerous websites and practically all of them have sitewide link showing up when you search using their brand name as the keyword. I have not for once gone through the process you are talking about. If it works for you, all well and good, but I am talking about what worked for me and the way things really are. I won't say more on this issue. If in doubt see the attached images.

Buying backlinks to influence ranking is frown upon by Google and if you are caught, you will lose your ranking which means you wasted your money and time. There are other ways to get backlinks but if you must buy, be careful not to get caught |
SEO won't make your website appear like that even though SEO is a starting point. Before your site can appear like that, Google must be able to index almost all your website pages and it will only appear when people make branded searches for your brand name. This means your site must gain some level of authority. So typically you want to build authority to your website (organically) which is where the SEO comes in and then wait for Google. Google schema implementation might also help although if you are not experience, I wont't ask you to do that. |
I really don't know. You might have a discussion with them to see if you guys are a good match |
Digital marketing in simple terms means promoting a product or service on digital medium. Digital medium include search engines(google), social media platforms, email marketing, bbm, billboards etc. Digital marketing is different from online marketing although lots of people get it mixed up. Unfortunately the medium of marketing online is usually your website so a little knowledge of web design skills, though not important can be an advantage. For example,i started as a web designer(2005), before moving unto online marketing in 2012. So to do digital marketing, you really don't need to be an expert web designer although your knowledge of html might come handy. Where to learn? A lot of places. You can learn online by visiting some recommended blogs or if you prefer hands on,you can signup for our class here www.vtnssolutions.com/seo-training.html |
You have been given great advice so far but I will like to add my view to them. First, there are different channels to drive traffic to your website. 1. Organic 2. Social media 3. Email 4. Sponsored content 5. Paid amplification Focusing on only one way is setting up your website to fail. To get traffic through any channel, you need to understand how that channel works or pay someone to do it for you. |
One factor that can influence how soon a backlink to a website appears is the frequency at which Google crawls the website the link is on. What this means is that, if Google crawls a website every one month, then if you have a link on that site to your website, it might take a month for the links to be discovered by the search engine before it is recognised, indexed and then reflected. I don't know how alexa works but that is how Google works. |
mascot19:There are lots of ways you can do that 1. Paid advertisement 2. Organic or what is popularly known as SEO 3. Social media marketing 4. Email marketing 5. Affiliate marketing These are the ways you can generate traffic to your website |
pneumaticos:We are expecting you |
You don't need to submit your site to any search engines and if anyone ask you to pay so they can help you submit your site so that search engines can find it, then they are only going to cause more damage. Anytime a website is hosted, any search engine will pick it up within 24hrs. This is the 21st century and search engines are wiser. If they are not picking up your site, then something might really be wrong. 1. Type your website directly into Google, is your website coming up? If not, then check your robots.txt file to be sure that you are not unintentionally blocking anything 2. Create a sitemap and submit it through Google webmaster tool. This will solve the problem if there is any |
Where most likely is your target audience located? That is where you should buy traffic. |
Ask them 1. What's their campaign objective 2. Ask for their budget and see if it can fall within the objective. If not, set a realistic objective 3. Find out how much it will cost to achieve this 4. Make your consulting fee not more than 10% of their budget 5. Work hard to achieve their campaign objective or you toast. |
Go ahead. Ask your questions and let me see if I can answer some of them |
If you have 1million blog post no one is interested in, then it is as useless as having no blog post at all. So make sure your blog post is what people are searching for (keyword research) and that the post are quality posts. Then do seo and some link building and you are assured of "targeted visitors |
Well, it depends 1. Your budget 2. Your level of expertise |
I don't think I know much about this are but the best way to improve your writing skills is 1. Get a mentor ( someone who writes and you admire. If that person is in your niche, better 2. Study their writing style 3. Implement it in your own writing 4. Write everyday 5. Read anything and everything 6. Be consistent |
Mwada:Google keyword planner might not be the best use for you but almost all other keyword derive their data from Google. Therefore how you use the Google keyword planner is the answer to your question. Having said that, I will list some other keyword tool you can use 1. Keywordtool.io 2. Market samurai 3. urbersuggest Those are the keyword tools I used but it depends on what I am doing. If I am not starting a fresh campaign, I hardly use this guys |
