EducationRe: 2012/2013 Uniuyo Admission Thread by Cherish100(f): 11:41am On Dec 08, 2012
I just picked the 2013/2014 UTME form and I chose University of Uyo as a second choice with course International Relations. I saw it as a course in the JAMB brochure but didn't see it as a listed course in the school's website. I'm a bit worried though. I read on several sites that Uniuyo offers admission to second choice applicants. My O'levels is great and I plan to study hard for my forthcoming exams.

FamilyRe: Did Your Parent Teach Sex Education by Cherish100(f): 1:24pm On Dec 05, 2012
I remember we'd sit and talk and the subject might go into s.ex at some point and she'd tell me not to sleep with any man and all that. As I grew, she started asking if I had a boyfriend and how she knew one cute guy. Once in a while she'd chip in the 'if you want to have sexx, make sure you use a condom. Don't let the man deceive you into not using a condom' advise. I can remember when I went to school one certain time and she came for my visiting day. She told me she saw the por'n I'd been watching in my dvd and some more in my book rack. I was embarassed but she just laughed about it. All in all, was okay.

EducationRe: Covenant University Expels Over 200 Students by Cherish100(f): 8:22am On Dec 05, 2012
Why would he say a curse of the Lord shall come upon any student whose voice is heard? Who gave him the authority to curse? I feel for the students who were expelled because after paying millions of school fees each session, that money is now wasted. It's a pity they were expelled for such little offence as not going to church, it's not like they destroyed school property or worse. No one should be forced to go to church, it should be by freewil. It's better for them to stay in their hostel than go to church and disturb. This man is so authoritative and inconsiderate. I hate this!

First of all, how is this news? You haven't seen a mother kiss her baby before or what? Lastly, is it that you do not know parts of the body, is that her cheek? Is that where your own cheek is located?
Christianity EtcRe: Threat-preaching-pastors- A Word For You by Cherish100(f): 7:45pm On Dec 01, 2012
Once attended a church where offering was done about 7 times. There was general offering, seed offering, harvest offering, tithe and offering, etc. and the pastor made it seem like if you didn't put the offerings, you wouldn't be blessed. Everyone looked around to see who was putting offering and the 'bad apple' that wasn't. Worse, members showed no love. It was just eye service and more like who drove the flashiest car, who made the biggest pledge. It was all so irritating. During a crusade in church, the General Overseer came and kept talking about how Governors, Ministers and top politicians were looking for him. How he prayed for a Governor and he was re-elected. Then, he brought out hankerchiefs to be sold for 100k or was it 50k, saying using it would cause you to prosper and all that. You need to have seen how people qeued to buy a handkerchief that costs not more than 50 naira in the market. My mother went up to the pastor and requested she be given one, as she didn't have money to pay. In the end, I used the handkerchief to clean catarrgh and never bothered washing it. I'm sure most of the people who used their hard-earned money to purchase that face-wipe aren't richer than they were. God's blessings cannot be bought and let no preacher confuse you otherwise.
RomanceRe: Fine Ladies Have A Liking For Ugly Guys... by Cherish100(f): 1:14pm On Dec 01, 2012
ferhyntorlah: Beauty/Hansomeness is in the eyes of the beholder.

Some men may not be good looking facially but are kind hearted. What they lack facially, the have in abundance in the character department.

Nature has a way of balancing things out; what you lack in one area, you have in excess in another.

We shouldn't focus on outward beauty only, the inward beauty is equally important.

FamilyRe: Must A Man Wear Suit On His Wedding Day by Cherish100(f): 12:44pm On Dec 01, 2012
If I may ask why even do a wedding? People will do a traditional marriage and days or weeks later, a 'white' wedding. Are you white?! That simply means the traditional marriage is not accorded the respect it should because you are not convinced that you are a couple. Since you want to do a white wedding, you'd best follow the whites to the latter. Wear a suit!

Dermablend can be used for special occasions and pretty much everyday. I love that it lasts up to 12 hours long and more than an hour of swimming in the pool. That's a long time for it to have come off but guess what? It wont wink cos it's water-resistant, so sweating does not even make it come off. It's not a very popular product here in Nigeria but is popular abroad. Most of these celebrities use it to achieve that flawless skin. It covers almost all skin imperfection and is definitely worth it wink .

FamilyRe: At What Point, After Losing A Loved One In Death, Do You Delete Their Number? by Cherish100(f): 1:47am On Nov 20, 2012
I once tried the number of my late grandfather a year after he died for dialling sake and someone picked! It wasn't funny at all. I almost threw my phone. When the person called back, it was my mum. She said she'd started using the line in memory of him. Another day I was sleeping and woke up when I heard my fone ringing. With dizzy eyes I looked at my screen and saw 'papa'. Na so I jump cheesy . Told my mom not to scare me again. I've since edited the contact name.
