Now we're going to look at the vocabulary of the language and the corresponding characters for each of the terms. These terminologies would be grouped based on common denominators.
The first group we'd be looking at is that of water bodies

Ohh yes the islanders speak Igbo... The Igbo spoken by the ukwa tribe is the type they speak. Bonny island according to history was discovered by an ngwa chieftain called alagbariye... The Rukwo later peopled the island but during the slave trade the island regained its Igbo majority and it has been like that since then.
Most of the Igbos in Rivers SE zone descended from the ukwa tribe in present Abia and Rivers states.
Bonny island is called Agwæ Ubani in Igbo

As an Igbo, am concerned about the six full Igbo states of Abia, Anambra, Anioma, Ebonyi, Enugwu and Imo and the half Igbo state of Rivers.
Coming to Rivers, here's how the zonal arrangement went
Rivers West:- kalabari, ekpeye, ogba, egbema, ndoni and ubani
Rivers East:- ihuruohna, echee, kirike
Rivers SE:- Ogoni, southern ukwa, opobo and western obolo

So since odili from West has ruled, Amaechi and Wike from East are ruling, its only just that the southern ukwa take over from wike as it switches from East to SE Rivers.

When the Brits overran Nigeria, they reorganized it based on tribal affiliations...that's why the southern ukwa was put in Aba province, the egbema was put in Owerre province,the ndoni was put in aboh province, the opobo and the Western obolo was put in opobo province which was grouped under calabar group of provinces.
Even when MI Okpara in 1959 reorganized the provinces of Eastern Nigeria, all he did was to divide the the mixed ethnic provinces and make it them more monoethnic...and in that he didn't touch opobo,the only ones affected where calabar and ogoja divisions as he separated the Eastern Igbos in those provinces and made them into abakaliki province(present day Ebonyi state) while attaching the Arochukwu/ohafia parts to bende province.
So you can see that everyone aside the landgrabbing Rukwo knows that the obolos belong to the Mmoŋo group of languages. Moreover opobo is sitting on obolo land,so technically opobo despite their being Igbo speaking belong to the Mmoŋo group.

In the lexicon of the area in question, Ete means father especially in Asa. You should know that Ndoki never had a county council. Ndoki was part and parcel of Asa County Council.

Which is the same thing as with the Mmoŋo groups... Substantiating the stories I've heard that the old Aba division was formerly Mmoŋo land until the ngwa/ndoki/asa groups came and drove them off and settled in their stead. And excluding Arabic, Oromo and the Ethiopic languages, every other language is written using Latin, whether it fits it or not.
Another thing that spurred me is the mercantile nature of the Igbo... Most of them go to the Sinophone world to do business, so I thought it'd be good if we could bring up a system that uses Chinese characters to write Igbo. This in my view would enhance understanding and more respect btwn the two groups.
I want a situation where in public notices in Igbo would be both in Latin and Han.... You know a situation where a word has different meanings based on tone,its only the accompanying characters that gives an insight as to what's been inferred there.
These are some of the benefits one can get using duality of systems

In any case, there are real practical (even economic reasons) for using the Latin alphabet. 90% of internet content is in Latin script. Isolating yourself from this sea of knowledge, information and communication doesn't sound smart to me. Well over 50% of internet content is written in English. You can't underestimate the economic value of having an English speaking population. This is why country like Holland have actively accepted English as a second language.

Yes...I was even part of the Nsibiri project, but when I saw the limitations, I had to suspend my participation.
And no...this does not seek to replace Latin... But to enhance its understanding as regards use of Igbo language

Creation of an alternative writing system for Igbo language. Igbo as we all know is tonal,which makes Latin unable to fit into the work of representing the language properly. So now we've decided to look at hanzi as an alternative..
Its still in progress anyway

Well our team has been on this project for some time now,and we thought we can share our progress with the wider Igbo world. With this our Nation can join the league of nations who used/still use hanzi as their official writing system. We're still working and won't stop till it turns out perfectly

And they've stated clearly that there's nothing Rukwo about them. Unlike the Eastern Rukwo tribes that are descendants of acculturated Igbos, the ukwa tribe has said in clear terms that they're part of the great Igbo Nation. Infact during the war the ukwa and their ngwa brothers fought stubbornly to prevent Federal troopers led by an Ijo called boro from capturing Afam. Moreover the two sister tribes the ukwa and the ngwa have been together in Aba province until the greed of the Ijo made the FG carve southern ukwa into Rivers.

If you're making noise that "ikaki" is a Rukwo term found in ukwa dialect, I've kalabari and kirike dictionaries from which I can fish out thousands of Igbo terms currently in use. Maybe I can lay claims to those two tribes as Igbo afterall most of their ancestry was from Igboland.
