That's where it behooves on IPOB to strengthen the Igbo consciousness of these Igboid tribes rather than go fishing in unknown waters that Nigeria calls minorities. Hold caucuses with their political and traditional leaders and ensure their concerns are well taken care of

Lemme add my voice to this issue...
Looking at it geopolitically and otherwise, I think its wise for IPOB to restrict its campaigns to the Igboid tribes in Nigeria. If for expediency reasons they need to have non Igbos then only the Igoni should be considered.
Why the Igoni if you may ask They're an ethnicity that's not related to any of the ethnicities around them. They're composed of four groups viz eleme, kana, ta'i and gokana.
Edoid tribes whether sobo or chekri have no place in Biāfra... Kos if they do,then Bini and Ishã and the Kukuruku should also....likewise the Rukwo, they already have their Niger Delta Socialist Republic as declared by Boro on Feb 12,1966 and so should have no business with neo-biafra.I know some Eastern Rukwo tribes like the kalabari and the kirike espouse pro Biāfra leanings probably due to the Igbo ancestry some of them have but I think that's where it stops.
Even the famed Mmoŋo should have no part in Biāfra... Their lot lies with Ambazania to the East and that's our lots as Igbos to help liberate that area from Cameroon and reunite them with the Mmoŋo.
IPOB should focus more on the Igboid and Kegboid tribes and leave the others alone. Hitler before embarking on war first of all rebuilt the German economy and made it the strongest in Europe and second in the world before embarking on world conquest. For you to shoot an arrow,you've to pull back and then release the arrow. IPOB should pull back first...I mean solidify its hold on the Igboid and Kegboid areas before expanding.

Its not about landmass. If the Igbos are allowed to leave, every other ethnic group will want the same. African nation states cannot be constituted based on ethnicity alone. If any section of Nigeria is permitted to secede, Nigeria destructs. This is unacceptable; this is why we oppose Biafra

The Awusa and the Yoruba can form an alliance to ensure that non of such happens...and you know Igbos are known to mind their business, all we've to do is to ensure our borders are closed to everything except trade. Our coastline btwn Anyim Ubani(bonny river) and Anyim Imo(Imo river) would be seriously manned to ensure that there's no infiltration through the sea.
Broz check am yourself... The awusa and Yoruba can hold Nigeria alone,there's no need in having Igbos join them

Biāfra means the rebirth of Nigeria... Non Igbos can always continue as Nigerians... Moreover Igboland is just 5% of Nigeria ie to say when Igboland is independent of Nigeria, Nigeria's landmass would only shrink from 923K km² to just 870K km² which would still be 16X larger than Igboland. Nigeria has nothing to lose and everything to gain by having Igbos gain their independence. Moreover no human walks on three legs,so removal of the third leg ensures that Nigeria walks properly.

100% approval Is the SS one ethnicity Even the SE themselves are made up of around a dozen plus clans who are united by just the fact that they speak a form of Igbo and practice some Igbo culture... Nothing else.
Nigeria is all about ethnicity and the SS has five linguistic groups viz Igbo, Edo, Rukwo, Mmoŋo and Oyono. Each of these groups reserve the right to choose their individual destinies

Thanks so much for the info.....Trust me I'm working on it now & have a target date. My dad said to wait a little bit (which I've been doing), but I'd like to get there and meet my family. My brother is the only sibling (at the moment) who wants to come with me. When my mind is "determined" to do something, I usually am successful.
I'm just so grateful that I can at least communicate with other Nigerians through the English language.
But my goal is to learn Igbo.

My dad is still alive and doing very well, I'm very close to him, and he's from Anambra state (I know the exact city...but I'm hesistant to put it here on NL).
The issue is the fact that my dad (who was happily married to my mother..who was black American for 30 yrs), unfortunately did not have the time (due to the nature of his well-respected but busy job) to teach us a whole lot about our Igbo side. So of course, I became immersed in my mother's culture in the U.S. where I was raised..so that's the side I know. While I wish I knew more, I don't blame my daddy because he worked hard to give us a very nice and comfortable life.
I have just started (in recent years) having the urge to want to know my Igbo side...

I think what you should do is to come down to Nigeria during the holidays and spend time in Igboland. You can either go to your village in Anambra or stay in either Asaba, Enugwu, Owerre or PH where you'd meet and interact with Igbos. It'd also give you an opportunity to learn the tongue too.
