hello Webmasters, i would like to know if Nairaland word censors has got anything to do with google adsense policy? those words has been in usage for years and google has not banned seun, so is it because of google or other reasons? and why not better alternatives??

On a serious note, it will be helpful if we know who holds the IP right to the contents on Nairaland.

It is obviously not the poster unless s/he specifically marks the posting as such, and I can remember having seen any. The last line on the site say "© 2001-2005, Lewis Media. All Rights Reserved.", does this refer to the contents, and will it over-right the copy-wright of a poster if s/he wishes to have one?

I know a lot of you guys must have noticed that you make apost and you dont see it reflected on the bord especially posts with Links/website addresses. if you try to post same messege again and again you get banned. well this is as a result of the anti spam bot policy. the anti spam bot flags messeges that looks like spam , hides it and may later reveal it (by admin) if proved not to be spam .
TheAnti spam bot may be annoying and frustrating at times, especially when it gets you banned for sometime. its artificial intelligence makes it hate you the more you tryu to resist it.

VERDICT
The Anti spam bot is actually doing the site alot of good, by protecting members from hundreds of spam messeges Though there are occassional mistales by the software. but it is for the good of the site and members. it also helps protect the integrity of the site and also ranking of the site.
That i guess is the reason why the admin puts it there for hios benefit, the sites benefit and the benefit of all members.

SO PLEASE BEAR WITH THE SYSTEM and now that you fully understands how it works it is easier to bear with the system and get used to it.
In case your messege gets flagged as spam , let the mod know about it, or the admin. DO NOT TRY TO FORCE THE MESSEGE or BYPASS the anti spam bot. let Seun or his mods know the status quo. if not you can as well remove the link.

O yes it is possible to make money fromAdvert programs but you must work hard,be patient and obey certain rules.
you can fast track but it has to be within the limit of commonsense and good judgement. buying traffic is tricky most times. last time i checked content still rules, adword is a solid option after that!! YOUR EARNING POWER depends on a number of factors. 1. you need traffic on your site so try and drive traffic to the site. but prepare the site(content rich) so that your visitors will want to come back, 2. traffic alone does not give you a fat check. what your site is about and how it relates to the adds matters. for example how to make money online with 100 daily vistors is likely to make more money than a soccer blog with same number of visitors.  from experience i know a jobsearch site makes good money because it attracts ads on job search so users are likely to search further. this is so with sports too but the tendency is not as strong as that of money making and job search.  people can make good cash off google ads but only few will do this. the guided and the lucky.

Promising Bomo Kighiga and Phybian Omongbale have emerged as the new king and queen of Nigerian chess, at least for the next 12 months, after a brilliant play at the just-concluded 32nd Nigeria Breweries International Open Chess Championship which was held at the Media Centre of the National Stadium in Lagos.

Kighiga, who rose through the ranks as National Junior Master up to the Intermediate level and recently into the Masters category, played brilliantly in the nine-round Swiss event during which he overpowered defending champion, Adegboyega Adebayo, to become the champion for the second time in five years.

Past pedigree

The champion, who made a promising appearance at the last Chess Olympiad in Dresden, Germany, came back into reckoning in round seven with a valuable win against Adebayo, whom he defeated in a long game.

The former champion, playing with white pieces, had an overwhelming advantage at the opening stage but a faulty gamble in the middle of the game gave Kigigha the upper hand in minor piece ending.

The new champion with eight points won the star prize of N140,000, while Adebayo and Ajibola Olanrewaju are joint second with seven points.

Female category

In the female category, a new champion also emerged, with Phybian Omongbale as the clear best in the category with eight points from nine games.

The player, who secured her first championship victory, led all through from the start. She defeated Frances Debole in the opening round of games.

Hope Amadasun, Omoye Akhigbe, Lyan Ossai Folasayo Togun, Omolabake Coker all fell to her superior moves on the board but draws with Funmilayo Oyegunle and Rabiu Olabisi gave her a clear win over the remaining.

Last year’s winner, Oyegunle, was second with seven points while three-way ties emerged for third position with Rabiu Olabisi, Folasayo Togun, and Vivian Dzaayem all in the position.

In category one, Meshack Othman came top with 7.5 points while Michael Cole and Eugene Ekpoikong are second with seven points, just as Ninyan Nilson and Toyin Jeje placed third with 6.5 points.

Roland Dieyi ruled in category two with a perfect score of nine points and was followed by Temi Ijish with 7.5 points and a four-way tie for third place was among Micha Igubor, Victor Okiridu, Williams Ore and Abimbola Salami, all with seven points.

Yemi Owolabi came top in the U-14 section with 10.5 points while Olalekan Edunwale has 9.5 points and Success Enarevba placed third with 8 points.

Though i did not participate at the championship-still planning my comeback.   The present female national champion used to be my good sparing partner- i used to have her then for breakfast, lunch and dinner then on the chess board- but i know phybian omogbale is now a queen of the kings game -having come a long way and steadily improving on her game under coach peters in Edo state.

Roland Deiyi  an old school mate    got a perfect score in category two!? interesting - well Roland is no beginer in chess and  i honestly think all  this chess monsters should go to category one and play with their mates.nine out of nine!!is still outstanding because he probably met and won spoilers too.  LOL  congrats my boy roland.   Another Guy told me NBL starts on the 14th  so be on the alert so as not to miss out. since its your first time.just go and have fun!! enjoy your self but while at that you can as well win the first prize if you can. familiarize your self with a few tournament rules,get your self a chess mat,and try practice for a while b4 the tournament in order to have good game reflex. NBL is a major chess event( usually held AT the national stadium surulere its a chess tournament with LADIES CATEGORY. OPENS 2 OPENS 1 and MASTERS CATEGORY !! ot is coming up next month---------i advise you to play in the Opens two if its your first time!!
