Not a bad idea, but there are way too much sentiments in this country for something as simple and inconsequential as changing the name to happen. Too much sentiments from all parties. My brothers from the west will carry it on their heads, and we Won't hear word. My brothers from the east will start throwing their own tantrums. My brothers from the north.....hehehehe well nothing consine them for this kind matter, their own na presidency. So much fuss will be generated over absolutely nothing. |
Hehehehe imagine that, this my thread is over 1 year old ![]() |
Before entering uniport I would say capital yes! But after having a best friend from warri, then I'd say maybe But after my nysc in ughelli...I'd say imposicant. Right now, I dey think in pidgin sef. ![]() |
Really really sad. @ op, was it an off campus hostel, or inside the campus? This is one of the biggest risk girls used to face staying off campus in uniport those days. Really sad. ![]() Also, calabar is a very small town, with only one serious exit out. If police are serious, then it wouldn't be hard 2 get these boys. But sadly, they are only serious when a prominent persons daughter is involved |
Uchboggy: @Chess guru I hail o(BATman) lolHehehehehe you don finally catch me here |
charlesobike: dats not her but rather de mum. Check their dresses. Use ur 4eyeWalahi this your reasoning na die!!!! Oya that's not peter, its paul or his father. Evidence check their dresses ![]() You see ow mumu-rish the thing sound. They obviously changed clothes |
kolawaxxy: If you think the match will end in a draw CLICK LIKEEhhh sorry bro, where do I CLICK UNLIKE? ![]() |
dabossman: This is a very subjective thread. Any disgruntled employee or former employee who was laid off can come here and say their organization use and dump members of staff, even when they are the guilt party.Couldn't agree more. Anybody that has observed a team of chinese or japanese or even germans work will understand the meaning of work ethic. A few years ago, adax petroleum contacted the building of a flow station to a chinese company. My friend was an intern of adax at the time, and he said he couldn't believe how these people worked. They took the work so seriously. Once they started each day, they wouldn't stop till their shift was over, no excessive gisting/bickering. They finished the flow station under 3 weeks. Some thing would have taken a nigerian company months! Another example of our poor work ethic. Can be seen in the activities of our regular artisans. We were constructing our house and we paid a carpenter to finish up the door frames, etc within the house. You won't believe that this man didn't do anything for over a week, because it rained almost everyday that week. So waiting consine rain for outside, and carpenter work for inside house ![]() |

Am pretty surprised the way the fanfare J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ died in this thread especially seeing how vocal certain people where @ the beginning.Anyways, I have Been called for the AC. Any other person? Let's rob minds biko |
shymexx: Can you tell me the history and tradition behind Calabar carnival - educate me? The last time I checked, carnival is a Trini thing that expanded to the rest of the Caribbean and South America. The Caribs brought it to London and made it an integral part of black history in the UK. Hence, why it started in Notting Hill, a place with a huge population of Blacks (especially Caribbeans) at that point in history.Google the ekpe (that masquerade below my pic) festival that occurs every December period from time immemorial. It might help you sir . Your biggest problem is that you already know too much. That on its own prevents you from learning basic things before you comment. The carnival you see in calabar has nothing to do with slavery, so J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ erase that from your mind. Its an extension of the ekpe festival that has been celebrated since the foundation of ancient calabar. That's that about its origin. The modern carnival started recently with donald duke, and is an extension of the celebration of ekpe festival. I really don't know what your basis of comparison or argument is (like I said I know nothing of your nothing carnival, so I can't say anything about it). All I know is that everyday is a party in calabar from 1st to 31st of december. |
shymexx: And don't think I'm uppity for saying the TRUTH on this thread. Your folks started it when they bombarded my thread about Notting Hill carnival with tosh about Calabar carnival.Brother, you reek of ignorance and pettiness. If you use this "practice/ rehearsal pics" as your yardstick of comparing both carnivals. I have no interest in your notting carnival.. So I don't think I have a right commenting on that, but next time be slightly patient, and wait before you expose your bias. It starts at the beginning of December, and runs through out the whole month. Technically, everyday is pretty much a party. And there is also the ekpe (meaning lion in efik) display. The calabar festival has more history and tradition than you think. But then again, I wouldn't Expect someone like you to understand

Amaaskia: Haha let it swellWell that's close sha. your profile pic is STRIKING hot, and on a lighter note, I dedicate d pic below to you. I will keep an eye out for you on other threads miss Ama .Am outta this thread, don't like being in threads that number more than 3...I yav tried on this already **bows his head, and makes his glorious exit**

Amaaskia: You are a real man, leave this boys here arguing otherwise.Hehe my big head dey swell ![]() But on a serious note though, is it J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ me or is every single Amaka extremely beautify, and most times ridiculously hot . . . . . Una plan am ![]() |
My final submission ![]() I love independent women. Maybe because my mum exemplifies it to the fullest. The only trick in living with a successful woman, is for you not to be an unsuccessful man! She can earn as much as oprah, but you J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ make sure you have what takes you out in the morning, and brings you back. Its when you have nothing you get the bad side of successful women. And I really can't blame them. I don't see anything wrong with a man with ambition marrying a woman with purpose and Drive. Its their type that pulls the man and his children through a burning fire instead of abandoning ship. Most importantly, you know from the very onset that she loves you for you, and not your money. #cheers to all the independent ladys in the world ![]() |
peterjero: Its simple "cowardice" men are cowards they are afraid and can't take charge they shud go and learn from Urhobo men, they can tame any woman on earth even the likes of Margaret Thatcher. They shud be able to earn the respect so that the women can be submissive. You mean by use of slaps and punches ![]() Not all men are cavemen na. Btw, uroboh girls are one of the most aggressive girls in this country. While serving, I witnessed an ss1 girl pull out a cutlass on an ss3 boy almost twice her height. There is a difference btw aggressiveness, and independence bro |
kulyie: lmao your opinion!Absolutely nothing! Because am not the least bit interested and couldn't care less if you where dating Muhammad Ali's daughter. J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ want you to make that lil part of what you are clear so we know you don't represent the what the real independent women in our society stand for. FYI it is very possible to be independent and still submissive, but its a hard thing to do, and boils down to the woman's upbringing |
Exactly my thought!!!... Little wonder why she got her child through ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION?! Girl r u tryna tell me dt u can't possibly find urself a gud man 2 work dt Veegee of urs! Nawa 4 d 21st century/information age woman o!
I know her type too well. Had the misfortune of dating one in my uni days. Even though she confessed every thing, couldn't help but feel sorry for her. This babe posting up and down has Way too much ego up her ars*e to be a woman. I will take a wild guess, but I wouldn't be surprised if she was molested earlier on in life by a family member..leading to her distaste in men. You will be amazed how many married women are lesbians. It J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ society forcing them to conform. Anyways, I feel her pain. Wouldn't be surprised if the small girl quotes me and starts throwing tantrums like a teenage girl who J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ saw her period for the 1st time. From page 1-4, that's all she's been doing ![]() |
kulyie: sympathize with yourself first for being so mentally shallow. Its very obvious that you are a lesbian. If not officially, deep down you are. Only opportunity and condition will bring it out |
haitto99: na wa o.....no hope for tall, fair guys like meNo mind dem, all na initial formings ![]() |

mapet: Keke goes from Obalende goes through Awolowo way, one drops at Falomo end, the other passes through TBS-Yoruba Tennis Club-Onikan Roundabout-Under bridge in infront of Muson Center- Bonny Camp- Amadu Bello - Eko Hotel Round about- VI extensions (Maroko, Sandfill, Ligali, Water Corporation etc....So now that you have revealed to us that you are a professional keke driver with full mastery of all routes in lagos, how does that make you feel like a champion. If you check my later post, before rushing to quote and brandish your keke driving skills, you will see where I accepted I didn't know this particular route. Or is it all routes in lagos that you know? The person I quoted didn't even go as far as calling me names, but mildly corrected me...you J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ came from no where with your keke knowledge gbosa! Abeg park well make goodluck fresh air touch person |
dnacrystal: For a partner, I prefer dark complexioned men. There is just something more masculine about them to me. I am naturally attracted to them. Light-skinned guys just seem effeminate to me, like being with fellow ladies, although I know skin color doesn't define masculinity. That is just my own natural tendency.Don't tell me Van vicker/ ramson noah or Mike *dont know his last name* are all feminine to you? ![]() If I didn't know better, I'd say we are more romantic ![]() #teamlightskin ![]() |
Segeggs: Its this same girls dat go marrying white men and filling africa with half-castesLeave them let dem be forming boss here! As if they don't all pray for one of those light skinned/ half cast-like beautiful babies that only we (not them black dudes) can provide ![]()
