The change coming to lagos will be aligning the ruling party in the state with the ruling party at the centre for the first time in the last 16 years.
Lagos thrives with Opposition. Its works there!!! Besides Agbaje is the real thing. The guy is sounds and means well for Lagos Citizens not just a few cabal.

I support him, but for someone who promised to stablize global oil price, i am scared he might not have the creativity needed. He should spend time now learning than travelling.
He cannot stabilize global oil price now. Nigeria is not the only player in determining oil price. we are not even the 3rd largest world oil producer.......

Politics › Re: Igbo Groups Drag Oba Of Lagos To NHRC by Chiaka(f): 1:33pm On Apr 09, 2015
bugs2:
Two Igbo groups have dragged the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, to the National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, for threatening that Igbos who vote for PDP’s Jimi Agbaje in this Saturday’s gubernatorial election will drown in the Lagoon.

The groups being Ohanaeze-Ndigbo Lagos and Igbo Justice Congress in a petition to the Executive Secretary of NHRC, Prof. Ben Angwe, called for the intervention of the Commission to prevent the threat by Oba Akiolu from happening.

According to the petition sponsored by Innocent Arinze and Arinze Ugwu for Ohaneze Ndigbo and Igbo Justice Congress respectively, “The entire Igbo in Lagos State seeks your intervention to forestall the threat by HRM Oba Akiolu, the Oba of Lagos to drown all Ndigbo in Lagos State inside the Lagoon if they failed to vote his candidate, Ambode of the APC – Lagos.”

No need to worry themselves. Oba wont do such thing. Said it was only his usual joke pattern! Vote your choice.

Let me ask you a simple question : If for any reason that Biafra idea you guys are so passionate about is actually granted, will you carry Lagos with you or will you reject Biafra because you are in a 'No Mans Land' ?
If Nigeria should divide depending on how it happens and where people fall in sure adjustment are always made with a major change. The might not even be called Biafra or Odua State might be something else, different circumstance requires different approach. If any such thing should happen I don't even think the name will be Biafra or may even happen the way you thinking.
People are bound to move and sometimes some people remain, its left for people to descide. Germany ones got divided and so are many countries and people make descision and move depending , The state of Isreal was recreated and some people moved and others remain where ever.
I will rather encourage to imbibe more positive thoughts than all this tribal issues. I see them as set back in life.
I don't live in Lagos and down here we got lots of Yoruba people also living with us.

CHM11:
Hopefully I will get that by tomorrow. The one I saw is in PDF and its for 2012.
Major gainers are nothern states and the south east.
Few south west states gained while Lagos lost.
All south south states Lost. ie Lagos and south south states contributed far more than they received.
I don't believe it. The oil producing states are still not getting enough compared to what they generate. Their Income is used to service other states. We need to know what every state generates to the national purse and what they receive.

So tomorrow if a govt comes in and make Anambra the fed capital that turns Anambra into a "no mans land"?
What will the indigenous people say?
Sure tomorrow if government makes say Anambra or even Akwa-Ibom a federal capital and put in huge investment like it did in Lagos/Abuja lots of people will flock into those areas, then it also becomes a no mans land. Its goes back to our earlier discussion. This is why Lagos/Abuja are no mans land. Afterall other western states like Ogun, Oyo, Osun etc are not called 'No mans land' this is the hard reality.

and when and where did you see the Yorubas insulting your heritage and calling your land nk man's land?

Abeg the only narrow minded tw@ts I know are from your region. Their mouth will kill them again like it did before
They don't need to because we integrate them.....well whether you like it on not, Lagos remains a No mans land like Abuja, until Anambra, or even calabar or any other region here becomes a capital with huge government investment whose source of income is from this region then it becomes a No mans land. Any where with huge government investment like Lagos/Abuja called capitals are no mans land, whether former or current. Afterall other western states like Ogun, Oyo, Osun etc are not called No mans land, this is the hard reality ok......accept it with joy.! wink

Don't see why this should any problem. People should be allowed to vote whoever they feel to vote for without showing remorse...... its the whole essence of democracy.

Nt d@ I support any tribe bt d igbo pple r gradually oversteppin der bounds in lag.........n i'm sayin dis in d most neutral way possible........becuz wen a tribe(yoruba) no longer feels secure in its alleged land again anytin can happen
Why are saying thishuh give reason. Not in Lagos, only heard the news about Lagos Oba issuing some threat words because of politics, I feel he was not right doing that.....but if you can explain some things that led to the outrage. I see Ambode and Agbaje as his Sons he would have given both equal chance instead of taking side.

I dnt wnt to come off as a triblist bt imagine w@ is goin on in lagos is happening in an eastern state....how do u tin d ibo's will react.....?!!
It may not even start in the first place. I Don't live in Lagos and we have lots of Yorubas living down here also and they feel very much at home. We don't remind them every sec that its not their State. Many of them working same company with me down here and are also successful and happy, some of them are even married to our beautiful women here. When one focus on tribal things like this, one cannot grow, rid yourself of such.

Bro I tink calabar waz a capital too abi....?!!!

huh Bt nobody calls calabar a no man's land naa
Was not for as long......and Nigeria was not highly as developed ..and also did not make as much investment into Calabar like it did in Lagos and Abuja, hence much people did not move to calabar then like the case of Lagos and now Abuja.........but obviously if it continued will have been a no mans land also. Sorry its the bitter truth. That's the price regions like that pay.......its the simple truth

I have moved around different states in this country and I am yet to see any quarter of Nigeria aside from Lagos being called No mans Land; not Onitsha, not Rivers, not Akwa-ibom not populous Kano and No not even Abuja the capital city.

My call today is simple, EVERY YORUBA MAN SHOULD PROMPTLY REJECT AND CORRECT anybody who ignoranty says LAGOS is a No Man's Land.
Lagos was ones a federal capital, that's why it called a No mans land, even Abuja is now also called a No mans land. Stop Promoting hate!!
