According to some NYSC Corpers (Names withheld) posted to Zulu Local Government, Kebbi state sent a message to my website mail complaining that government has not payed them their monthly allowance for two months. According to the mail: What is the reason for the delay in payment of federal allowance of 19800 to some set of Corpers for two months now. It started from December and now again January. I don't know of any other place but Zuru LG in Kebbi state, almost half of the Corpers. We are tired of waiting and enduring, how long more are we going to wait. Please tell us, how should we survive.. If you are having that kind of problem as a NYSC Corper, comment so that it will get to the government. |

IG: @CHIBBYRJ FORMER PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN SPEAKS OUT... I Didn't Hand Over A Collapsed Nation To Buhari - Dr. Goodluck Jonathan: - Former President, Goodluck Jonathan has replied his critics who accused him of handing over a nation at the verge of collapse to his successor, President Muhammadu Buhari. - Jonathan recounted the achievements of his government to include, handing over a country that produced the richest man in Africa. - Jonathan said, “I took over a Nigeria that was the second largest economy in Africa with a GDP of $270.5 billion in 2009, - I handed over a Nigeria that had grown to become the largest economy in Africa and the 24th largest economy in the World with a GDP of $574 billion. - I handed over dollar exchange rate of N187 per Dollar official rate in our banks, compared to their N360 now official rate for a Dollar -“I inherited a Nigeria in which the trains were not working, and handed over a Nigeria in which citizens can safely travel by trains again. - I also inherited a country where illiteracy rate particularly in the Northern part was alarming. - I handed over a country where every state in the North and indeed all the states had a Federal University. I inherited a country where there was total infrastructural decay in all the unity schools and colleges of education. - But I handed over a country with massive infrastructural improvement in almost higher institutions. - I inherited a country where agricultural inputs and production were almost zero. - But I handed over a country where a bag of rice was sold for N6,500 to N7000. - My regime since the establishment of ecological fund office did more irrigation dams in the North and other parts of the country than other subsequent administrations put together. - I inherited epileptic fuel supplies resulting to endless queues at the filling stations. I maintained despite enormous challenges of fuel subsidies and handed over a relatively stable fuel regime and also at a managed local price of N87 per litre. - I inherited a Nigeria that was a net importer of cement, and handed over a Nigeria that is a net exporter of cement. - In 2009 the richest Nigerian was the 5th richest man in Africa, but I handed over a Nigeria that produced the richest man in Africa. - The former President further stated " I inherited a country where people were almost losing hope on the credibility of its electoral process but I noticed that democracy will continue to grow in the African continent if leaders value the process of elections more than the product of the process. I handed over electoral process that engendered fairness in its conduct and conclusiveness ". - He said, “Even in the 2015 general elections in my country, Nigeria, there was potential for major crisis if I was not a President duly elected by the will of the people. - “The campaigns leading to the elections almost polarized the country into Christian vs Muslims and North vs South divide. - Most World leaders were worried that our elections will result into major crisis. Some pundits even from here in the United States said that those elections would spell the end of Nigeria and that we would cease to exist as a nation because of the polls. - That is where the leadership question comes into play. - As a leader that was duly elected by the people, I considered the people’s interest first. - How do I manage my people to avoid killings and destruction of properties? - With the interest of the people propelling all the decisions I took, we were able to sail through. - Indeed, we sailed through because I refused to interfere with the independence of the Independent National Electoral Commission, 'INEC', having appointed a man I had never met in my life to run it. We sailed through because I maintained and still believe that my personal ambition, interest is not worth the blood of any single Nigerian. - My philosophy was simple. For elections to be credible, I as a leader, must value the process more than the product of the process. And the citizens must have confidence in the electoral body. - Pls circulate it for them to know. The deceit is getting too much 10 Likes 1 Share |

IG:@CHIBBYRJ Photos: Alleged notorious cultist and former hitman for Eiye cult group killed on Christmas Day in Kwale, Delta State A young man simply identified as Imadu, said to be a notorious cultist was brutally killed on Christmas Day in Utagbe-Ogbe community, Kwale Town, Delta State. The deceased was an alleged hitman for Eiye Cult Group before he decamped to Baggar Cult Group. According to Austyne Emu, President/Commander, Anticult Volunteer Corps (AVC), Delta State, Imadu was killed by member of his former cult group. His report below: "As a result to the recorded violent cult related activities which in time past took lives and perceived unending, here comes the continuation of the previously reported clash. The killings between Baggars and Eiye cult groups which AVC was made handicapped in handling due to lack of support from supposed resourceful indigenes, Delta State Government and conflicting Anti-Cultism/Anti-Terrorism Laws of Delta State. The deceased who is known to be very notorious was a hitman member of Eiye Cult Group before he cross-carpet to become a member of Baggar Cult Group and as well became a hitman but luck ran out on him as he was supposedly killed by suspected members of Eyie Cult Group on the Eve of Christmas. He was termed to be notorious but remain human who would've become someone useful if he was rehabilitated and enlightened to living a positive and resourceful life. AVC will only try her human possible best to continually ensuring a crime free yulitide season in entire Delta State but seek for Deltans to endeavour in avoiding and reporting any criminal activities to any available security agency or agent to boost our efficiency in delivering our selfless services. We can not relient in bringing to justice anyone found wanted in violent cult related activities as investigation are currently yielding results regarding the recent clash in Kwale Town. AVC remains open and willing to assist in all forms to *ensure an amendment of the existing ANTI CULTISM/ANTI TERRORISM LAWS of Delta State which ought to clearly state actual sanctions to the crime actors. IG:@CHIBBYRJ The military person appeared delighted to take up arms against hostilities in defense of Nigeria. A viral video of a Nigerian soldier wishing his countrymen a merry Christmas in a broadcast sent out from a hostile territory should make you feel lucky if you are in a better condition. The military person began the clip with an opening chorus acknowledging support from God. He soon proceeded to stating that though he has found himself in the thick of a bush, the pride of being a Nigerian soldier stays firmly rooted in him. "My people happy Xmas in advance," he started. "Enjoy yourself eh. Just thank God that you guys are out there, you guys can even eat chicken. Anything you like you can just eat. But we, we are inside the bush. We feed on anything natural and we are happy. We are proud of it. That is why we are soldiers. Enjoy. (Laughing out loud)." The rare show of commitment by a Nigerian soldier to his duty is an indication that not every security agent is corrupt and belligerent in nature. Persons like the unnamed soldier are a reason to nurse hope concerning the future of Nigeria which has seen a long period of mismanagement by politicians. Democracy in Nigeria has hardly served the intended purpose as a bunch of people have found themselves to be living in abject poverty. Many have argued that the military regime offered better comfort to the masses and one is inclined to agree if sorry state of fuel scarcity is the subject. Under President Muhammadu Buhari, the idea of change has become some sort of a trick which has only treated the electorates to one of the familiar failures of the government, fuel scarcity for example.
