it is new and maybe strange to most people, domainers are buying .me now, i like the extension but i don't have .me domain and may not purchase any except it is ll.me, nn.me, lll.me, nnn.me etc

lol. some people. i like the word some people, so how about most people that use godaddy?

godaddy remains the best and the largest registre, their is really no limitations/ disadvantage, rather those limitation run through all registre like 60 days lock etc which is regulated by icann.

there may be disadvantage but i have none to tell you. how about you ask the ''some people'' to tell you the disadvantage/ limitation

Chibenze, abeg I don come again. Please I wish to know how soon after domain name registration do you start contacting potential end-users. I am asking this considering the initial 60-day lock-out on transfers.

you can decide to contact end user any time, the 60 days lock is for transfer out (to another registre) either you explain to the interested end user to register in same registre for easy transfer or wait 60days...

You can use Auction or marketplace to search domain, what is important is it should be a quality domain and also if you have the cash to purchase it. Most of my domain r bought via auction.

For inbound link i dont use it....so google it if you want to use it.

As for the character count it means the number of letters in a domain e.g nairaland.com it has 9 character count, so assuming you choose 4-6 it mean you are searching for domain with 4 to 6 character.

Domain age you can choose what ever you like.

Just look at the top (up) you will see either a red colum (long rectangle ie horizontal) with 'x' at the right edge of the colum just click it to remove that notification,

Try again after the above it will work perfectly.

I am using my phone not sure i can post a screenshot, just read what i said careful and look around... You will know what to do

yes this is my first time of buying a domain. My card is a mastercard. I think I did used a coupon code and the amount is $1.17. The domain is for sale and I want to register for a year.

Ok. Guess this issue should be from your bank contact your bank.

You can also try to change the coupon code to another (1.99 coupon code google it) then try again

First thing you should know as a newbie is: register/ buy only ''.com'' domain.

To your question about expireddomains .net,
I really don't know what i should tell you because i hardly register domains (fresh registration) again except on few occassions, i buy most of my domains from expire auction site (like dynadot auction, godaddy auction etc) because it is easy for me to navigate and search for domain moreover it has its age intact because it has not drop unlike domains that are drop.

More than a million domain drop a day, so searching Expireddomains.net will be difficult except you already have the type of domain you are looking to buy, but some of the basic filter i will list out should be use:
Click filter choose
1. only .com
2. no Hyphens
3. no Numbers
This are the basic filter, it is left for you to search a domain either randomly or base on ur need or want.

Note: any domain you like when searching the list make sure it pass the test of page 252 and 322 b4 you register it.

Also if you have the cash it is adviceable to buy from expire auction and after market, because it will be easy to find quality domains and age domain too (i love quality age domain) this way you should grow fast. ''Only recommended for those that has the cash and has study page 252 and 322 very well else pls start with expireddomains.net (new fresh reg domain).

First question it the domain above 60 days (transfer lock)?

It is easy to transfer a domain from dynadot to godaddy infact it will not take up to 20mins.

Here is the step:
1st: login to your dynadot account, select the domain name you want to transfer out, click on set lock and unlock the domain. Or once you login to your dynadot acct click on the domain.
2nd: scrow down under privacy, you will see ''To unlock your domain, please unlock your account. Transfer Auth Code:
To view your auth code, please unlock your account.''
click on unlock your account, once you insert your date of birth (month and day) ur account/ domain will be unlock
3rd: you will see your auth code (Transfer Auth Code) copy the code some where on ur system.
4th: login to ur godaddy account click on the domain management at the top scroll ur mouse to the colum, click on transfer domain, a place will show were you can insert the domain you want to transfer to godaddy, there is a space to fix in ur auth code (authorization code), just paste the code u got from dynadot.
5th: after some mins you will get an email asking you if you authorize the transfer just click yes/ accept and in few mins the domain will be move to godaddy.....

It is easy as abcd.

But please try to ask google some of this question you should get an answer, were you are still confuse you can post it here.

I am sorry bro i don't appraise domains, the pages i comment above is a guide to all newbie like me. I beleive if you had really read those pages (252 and 322) you will not ask me my taught abt ur domain because u will know if it is a crap or a quality domain.

I urge all newbies like me to use that guide as a starting point into domain investment.

For the names you've bought and sold, did you consider factors such as Trust Flow and Citation Flow when buying them? I have read a lot from you guys on here, but I haven't seen these mentioned - maybe I missed them. The figures I've been seeing on expireddomains are always low.

i don't consider such when buying or selling a domain name, what i consider is writing in page 252 and 322 of this thread

That should be to verify if your card is working, you will receive a refund later.

for the back order, i think they should debit if you are the winner, else no debit

not sure if it is too much or not, but it is the price some registre charge..
If you are not ok with the price and the registre you can buy other places that offer $1 or low to reg a domain.

The only difference is trust rate and legitity of the registre you want to use to register ur domain.
I can recommed few i use: godaddy, dynadot, namesilo, namecheap etc. Most of them offer coupon to reduce the price.
For example at godaddy if you are a new user you can reg ur first domain for $0.99 or $1.99 using ur visa or mastercard after which you will be charge normal fee btw $10.5 to $14.66 to register other domain.
I am in godaddy club membership ($119 a year), so i am charge only $8.5 to register or renew a domain.

Where is the domain register?
Are you transfering to another registre? E.g godaddy to whogohost?
You will need the buyer info to be able to transfer/push a domain assuming it is same registre.

But if it is a different registre you will give the buyer an authorization code and he will initiate the transfer.

Please try to google that above question to understand better, google has all the info you need, always ask google bro.

Finally it is ur decision to transfer domain first or recieve payment first

First is this your first time buying a domain using ur card? Master or visa card is the only card they accept.
2nd: are you using a coupon code?
3rd: how much is the total amount?
If it is for sale register 1 year first
