I don't think they eventually pay that particular dividend......but if they opt to pay it for 2020 fye, it's fine.
@chibuking81 should be able to clarify it for us....... smiley
Wish Chams could spring surprise again....
For Cham, no surprise is coming from them this time
1. Oct-Dec 1 kobo EPs,
2. Jan-Sept negative (2) kobo EPs,
3. Jan-Dec negative (1) kobo EPs
4. This was against their last year Jan - Dec earning per a share of 6 kobo.
See page 3 of their 2020 final year statement.

Company might have negative retain earning in their final year account as the result of previous negative earning, but still declare dividend in that accounting year, through positive EPs, for example if they earn 7 kobo, and declare 2 kobo, the remaining 5 kobo will be retain and will cancel the negative retain earning completely or near to completion. This will show in their following accounting year. So for now Cham PLC don't have what it take to pull up surprise this year, maybe next year.

The surprise will come from insurance companies this time, most especially from two. They started their vehicle with other insurance companies ahead of time, and reverses back, one to car park and the other near to car park. Once the dividend announcement comes out, kilometer 100%/200% they will move. Save this post.
Good morning all.

I just went through fcmb's results q1 to q3. EPS as at q3 is 70k as opposed to 58k 2019(26% increase).

My projected EPS FY will be btw 90-95k so possibility of 20k dividend is likely. And with the acquisition of 96% stake in Aiico pension, it should reflect positively on their FY balance sheet interms of income fees.

As for mobil plc, why sell your shares except you bought above #186. I think the delisting will deliver better return for shareholders going forward. Am not selling mine.

@Mcy. Welldone as always.

FCMB is another Vita foam in making, their final EPs will likely cross #1. and dividend of 20 kobo and above.

Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful. Always know when to book your profit, and wait again at lower junction to enter back.
As in Ucap, their dividend return earning are attractive, but have in mind that their price will likely visit #3 or below after the dividend mark down. Their price will climb and remain high someday when their EPs will move higher like #2/#3 EPs.

We leave it to Mr. Time and market sha
We are on the same page. A baby born today will grow with time, but not today. Investors strategy is to invest in those stocks that will give him good earning through dividend payment. It might take one who bought MTN at its year low going by their current earning 20 years to get back his/her initial invested capital, while someone who invested in stock like UCAP and Afriprudential at their year low, will get back their initial invested capital in just six years.

Are you comparing them with which stock?
From my own view, MTN is over price at their current price. They duplicated each unit of their share severally before listing. Their name is what moves them for now, not ROI.

You don't have to panic if you have Lasaco however.
The units you have will be divided by 4 and the price will be multiplied by 4.

For instance, if you have 40,000units, after reconstruction it will become:
40,000÷4 = 10,000units (post reconstruction)

The price will change by then:
Closing as @ today = 0.40kobo
Post reconstruction price = 0.40 X 4 = 1.60kobo

So you have nothing to loose.

** I suspect that Lasaco may likely come up with BONUS issue after the reconstruction or DIVIDEND which will become gain for you by then.
** So don't take any action in haste after suspension is lifted.
If they give bonus after reconstruction, what is the need of reconstruction?
Anyway in Nigeria many things goes anticlockwise. Always manipulative avenue to achieve their goal.

Unity bank reconstructed I think up to ten units of share to one, and today where are they, back to base.

Teachers are not included because they're not civil servants but public servants. Civil servants are those who work in the ministries and extra ministerial departments (MDA's) while teachers works in the parastatal. Teachers are civil servants under ministry of education, yes they are also public servants which is the umbrella that houses civil servants, military, paramilitary, corporations, etc.

1. In the 1st day of sell 3%
2. In the 2nd day of sell 2%

4. After the closing hour of 3rd day, no % will be charge.

Access is hugely undervalued. See it trying to rub shoulders with the big boys. Hope it moves someday. Nigerian coys are largely undervalued though. Most pay dividends way above most celebrated international companies.
The best rubbing shoulder should be by dividend (% return earning), there are lot of audio earning, but once a company declare high dividend that will correspond to their quoted earning their price move.
Look at FCMB and Fidelity bank, they use to have higher EPs than Ucap and Afriprudential, but the later almost double the prices of the forma do to amount of return earning through dividend payout.

HOW BONUS SHARE ARE ADJUSTED
Price Adjustment
Usually, after the bonus issue, the share price of the company gets adjusted according to the bonus ratio. For example, if the price before bonus is Rs 200 and a company issues bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1, the post-bonus share price will be Rs 100, which means that the total market value (2 x Rs 100=Rs 200) remains the same.

@yMcy56, remember that any company that give bonus will mark down on its qualifications date. Case study of Cutix cable when in the recent year they gave 1for 1, and was markdown at exact half price of their previous market closed price before the due date.
So using #2.56 for Mansard to determine their current suppose market price, shouldn't be out of place. Their bonus to one is approximately 2.43, plus one existing equal to 3.43 new unit. Therefore #2.56 divided by 3.43 unit will give you 0.75 kobo approximately, which suppose to be their suppose price after their mark down using #2.56, pls educate me more on how their fair price should be above #1.

Lasaco only planned reconstruction of shares into ratio 1:4.....
E.G. 40,000units will become 10,000units after reconstruction........i.e. 40000÷4 =10,000.

Lasaco needs to come up with clear plan on pre and post reconstruction in my opinion.

I however think buying at 30/32kobo or below is still okay. This is just my opinion, there may be pecks attached to the reconstruction but which we're yet to know......let them come out in clear terms.
**This is an update to my previous post on Lasaco**

Anyone with much info can pls post so we can understand better.

As for multiverse, this has been at car park for long. From my side, no info yet on this stock and I will say: instead of tying capital down on "hope", go for dividend paying stock instead.
Except for jijo purpose, for calculated short time capital appreciation, taking advantage of they company result manipulations to achieve a specific goal. Anything apart from that from penny stock might seems to be on suicide mission. They will reconstruct today within a little while when they can't manipulate their result again, car park will be their next direction.

Mcy56:

Thank you.
However, the last part will happen after the addition of 7:17 bonus and not before.

For someone with 7000units for instance, it will be:

7000/7 = 1000 X 17 + 7000 = 24,000units

24,000units/4 = 6000units X N2 = N12,000

Your initial 7000units purchase, if you buy at 2.30 for example is N16,100 + fees.

After reconstruction, price might not be less than N4 or thereabout..........at least, the share price is not expected to fall below N2 by then.........let's keep watching how they'll go about sha. smiley
From look of things is like AXAMANSARD is already overpriced?

From little calculation I made it seems that Mansard share price equivalent of old should be 75 kobo, meaning that they are above their initial suppose markdown price already.

1. Price before let used #2.56

2. After mark down #2.56 ÷ 4 = 64 kobo which they intended to reconstruct back when merging 4 to 1.

3. Bonus 17 bonus share to existing 7 = 17 ÷ 7 = 2.43 approximately new share.

4. Current 1 share with bonus = 2.43 bonus share + 1 existing = 3.43 share.

FOR EASY UNDERSTANDING

5. For 3.43 which is for 1 share before = 3.43 x 800 = 2,744.
(800 stand for old existing share at #2.56)
(2,744 new share equivalent to #800 old existing share)

6. With reconstruction to 4 to 1 = 2,744 new share ÷ 4 = 686 reconstructed share.

7. Old share 800 unit = #2.56 x 800 = #2,048 worth of money

8. New share 686 units after reconstruction, (let say at #1 x 4 unit share = #4) new share = 686 x #4 after merging = #2,744

Comparing old and new share
Old 800 units at #2.56 = #2,048
New 686 units at #4 = #2,744
New #2,744 - old #2,048 = #696 higher

The nearer equivalent of new to old should be @#3 , which is #3 x 686 unit = #2058.
#3 ÷ 4 = 0.75.
