Congratulations. Let me ask, why is it that you guys didn't submit POF? I am currently studying in Japan and will like to apply from here.

Though, the Agent requested for it but we didn't have such amount with us.

I am the sponsor of my wife and I lost my Job here last year because of Visa ban on Nigerian. Basically, it is my wife who is still working while I de hustly.

We applied in faith and God showed up. Like I said, we did not submit any other thing than my wife's 3 months payment slip and my sponsorship letter with an affidavit to back it up stating that I have over 150,000AUD which evidence shall be provided if needed.

No landed property was provided, No home ties whatsoever. In all, we give glory to God.

Travel / Re: Home Child Care Provider Pilot Canada Program For Nigerians by chidi4sam(m): 5:21pm On Aug 05, 2020

I have done this for two of my sisters. One is already Canadian PR under the old live in caregiver path. Mt second sister's application is in progress under the new nanny path which will qualify her for open work permit and Canadian PR after 2 years. I can help to answer questions for those who are interested in doing this having gone through the old process and the new process.
These are some critical points for success:
1. You must have someone Canadian PR or Citizen who is qualified and willing to employ you as a nanny.
2. You must have Language tests results showing a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 5 or equivalent.
3. You must have one year of Canadian post-secondary education or the foreign equivalent;
4. Proven experience as a nanny
5. Show that you have qualification and training in childcare including Firstaid, CPR.

Please review this link from IRCC on the process for home childcare provider application:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/hire-foreign-worker/in-home-caregiver.html
You can also review the forum below. You will be able to read about this program and experience of people who have applied world wide.

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/home-childcare-provider-pilot-2019.642381/page-122

In my opinion, this is the easiest way for folks to help their family and friends to come to Canada so far they are willing to sacrifice 2 years of working as a nanny.
So for anyone interested let me know how I can help.

I am interested.
I have all you mentioned above.
How do I start please?
Autos / Re: How Do We Recover Our Money From A Car Dealer? by chidi4sam(m): 6:34am On Jun 14, 2020
Venerable612:

I am sorry for your loss bro.

But Nigerians that are reading this should be advised that the Police And EFCC have no power to recover debts.

Failure to repay overdue debts is a civil wrong and not a criminal act.

The Police and other security agents (I.e EFCC), therefore, have no power under the law to arrest, prosecute or to take any action against a person for failure to pay debts. See EFCC v Diamond banks & ors; see Mclaren v Jennings.

You can only involve the police or efcc if the money was obtained by Fraud, stealing or any other crime was committed!

Now - your best bet?
1. Write a letter of demand, if you haven’t got an agreement between both of yu.
2. Meet a lawyer for (1) above to assist with drafting and get a lawyer to follow through with court processes. It’s pretty much slam dunk for debt recoveries in the courts - but be sure that the person can cough out the money. No point wasting money on legal processes when the accused doesn’t have any money to give!

Thank you very much.
But since I'm not in Nigeria, how do I go about this?

4get d police... write a letter to EFCC involving all d details

How can someone who is living outside Nigeria get across to the EFCC?

I have an experience of such and would like to take it further.

A little explanation of my ordeal.

In 2018, I lost my job and in the process of searching for something else, I met with this man who was doing well in his line of business.
He is a member of the same church I attend.
He suggested I join him in his biz pending when I find something else. He explained to me, the profit margin. I could earn about 80k in every 1M I invest monthly.

So, in January 2019, I gave him 1M and withing 2 weeks, he paid me the interest of 100K. With that, I reinvested. In February, I told him I shall be traveling by march so, I would need my money back. He promised my money will be ready before I leave. But, one week before I left, be told me the supplies he made has not been paid for by the company. That immediately they pay, he will remit the cash into my account.

That was how I travelled without my money because I trusted him as a fellow brother in church. Ever since then, it has been from one excuse to another. It took him 9 months to pay 600k. Sometimes, he paid in 50k per month.

Now, the money is remaining 400k and he has refused to pay. I involved the police through my friend. They promised to do something. But the man went and bribed them. That was how the case ended. The police said they can't go further because, it was not a fraud case but a business issue that can be resolved.

I am willing to give anyone 100-150k from the money if it can be recovered.

My brother in-law wanted to go beat him up but I refused because, he might die in the process.

Please, if you know how I can go about it, indicate. I can call you personally.

My money can't just go like that.

CHECK IF THIS MATCHES WHAT YOU SEEK.

No sir. It does not match the area I practiced. I practiced more like a mechanical engineer as I did servicing of equipment, installation, repair and operation..

Although, some times, because of my electrical knowledge, I do minor electrical/electronic troubleshooting and correction.

I therefore wish to find an NOC I fall into.

Thank you.

The rate at which Asians are migrating to Canada is alarming. I took my first IELTS exam here in Dubai last Saturday. There are over 30 centres here. At my centre, I was the only African among the 70 candidates who wrote. I observed high level of malpractice although, the examiners did not notice it. In that hall, about 5 machineries were there and since the seating arrangement is so close, people tend to copy from each other codedly. The only area I know there was no cheating was in writing and speaking since no two persons are expected to write the same thing.

m2016:
I am writing this little piece just to inspire someone out there, someone who has given up hope on IELTS. Personally, I got my desired result at my 5th trial wink .

I took my first IELTS in September of 2018 and scored LSWR 7.5,6.5,6.5,7 I felt bad cry as I wanted to pass this exam at the first sitting, I actually gave it my all at the time, guess my all was not good enough. Even though there is no pass mark for IELTS, express entry applicants can attest that LSWR 8,7,7,7 is considered the pass mark.

My second trial was a few weeks after this, I read my ass out and after all is said and done, I took the test for a second time and scored LSWR 7.5,7,6.5,6 cry cry . When I saw the result, I wasn't so upset, at least nothing compared to how I felt when I saw my first result, however, there was a reason, I knew I was not going to pass the reading, I could not finish the reading test on test day. On the other hand, I thought I gave the other three modules my best. I still came out short in 2 (L & W). I had adopted Jay’s ‘super method for speaking’ to score at least 7 in the speaking module (Jay is a popular online IELTS teacher on YouTube).

After the second test, I rushed to register for the third, it was only 2 weeks away, so I prepared the best I could. This time, I made up my mind that I was not going to fail anything I had already passed in my previous tests (my assumed pass mark by the way is 8777 – LSWR as earlier stated), this will give me my desired CRS score, and this personal decision was key! I researched on YouTube on best ways to tackle some of these modules (And yes, I have always been researching), but this time it was different, I needed styles to tackle each question type. So I ran into a video by a random lady, she revealed that the key to passing reading was TIME, that whatever you do, ensure you finish questions 1-27 in at most 25 minutes, you need a lot of time in questions 28 – 40, simply because the questions become complex. Even though I passed the first reading which I scored 7, I was not comfortable of passing it again, until I saw that post. Mind you, my first three exams were with British council. Anyways, the third result came out and it was LSWR 7.5,7,6,7. I was sad again cry cry cry, but this time depressed as well so I decided this was it! And then I quit IELTS…

A colleague at work kept urging me to reconsider and retake the test, all fell to deaf ears at first. I did not attempt the test for 6 months. He was able to convince me and I decided to go back to the drawing board, by this time, I already had strategies for speaking and reading. These two I rarely revise because I was so comfortable that I can always pass them. I had to devise a strategy for listening, remember I have maintained a score of 7.5 in listening through-out the three trials.

So I took my 4th test, this time I switched to MOD-IDP Australia, I made up my mind that this is it!
I wrote the test on the 2nd of March somewhere in Lekki. I paid extra attention to the listening. I knew exactly what my problem was and that is “the section C”, the part that could have up to 2-4 speakers. So I used mini-ielts.com to prepare for this. One good thing about this website is that you can select the type of questions you want to practice, focus and improve on it. I did exactly that and I improved. Test results came out and boom I scored LSWR – 9,8,6.5,8. What a result right? shocked shocked shocked But damn the writing messed it up. I went for a remark and the result of the remark came out the same day my wife went to labour for our first child; the result of the remark sadly didn’t change!
I felt horrible, had mixed feeling, it felt like the worst day of my life. My wife put to bed the next day, at least I had something to smile about and it took me out of my depression.

I prepared for my 5th IELTS, mind you by this time I had conquered LS&R, my only problem was writing, so I focussed only on writing. I picked April 6th for my 5th exam, I had about just over a week to prepare. My cousin gave me some videos by the popular online teacher IELTS Liz. This video by the way is different, it is not the ones you will find on her channel on YouTube. She calls them her “Advantage videos”. Basically, you pay her some money to access these videos. I didn’t pay anyway because my cousin had already paid for them. It has step by step process on how to tackle each question type. I did nothing for the 5th test but follow her instructions to the teeth, and it paid off! I did not try anything on LR&S, I just went for the test. My results came out on 19th of April, Good Friday and I scored LSWR – 8,7.5,7,7 cheesy cheesy cheesy . There is no adjective to express my excitement, I had the best Easter celebration, I went for a boat cruise with friends because it was worth it.

My takeaways, I took my time to write this for inspirational purposes. I know someone out there will be needing this inspiration. If you read closely, you will notice I passed them one after the other, you too can, even at once in your next trial!
I will respond to questions in this trend, if I get any. I can also share any material you might need. I will not be charging a coin because no one charged me a coin, all the materials I used I got them freely, freely I received and freely I shall share my knowledge and sources. The only paid material I used was Liz writing video, still I was not the one that paid for it!

My name is Mike, and remember, You too can be a success story!

Mike, please send the Liz paid materials to me via E-mail, oluomasam@gmail.com.

First thing you should ask yourself is: Can you afford it? This journey for those who undertake it is not a cheap one. It’s an average of $12K or more.

And why is your brother-in-law mandating you to check things? IMO, you’re the head of your family and should be the one making the decisions and all. If you feel this is what you want and have the funds, please by all means. Go ahead. The time is now, her EDD is in 2 months. She would need a passport (if she doesn’t have one yet) will need to get an appointment at the US embassy, attend her interview and if visa is granted, wait for her passport. That’s almost a month (if we are being economical). She will be 8 months at that point and a lot of airlines won’t fly her.

Like I said, if you have the funds and are ready to commit to this endeavor totally, start the process ASAP. Like right now. All the best, sir.

Please kindly let me know if the time frame would be enough to process all she needs to get there. Also, apart from the things you wrote on the first page , are there other things she need?
