gideonvalor98:
First and foremost you're not a yoruba person. Be proud of your heritage. Being an impostor is a shamable thing to adhere to.
Yes! Tinubu deserve re-election because he's building the foundation of a Great Nigeria. He isn't looking at the immediate or temporary fix, it's a permanent and future solution. You lot lack the knowledge of how great ECONOMY work, it isn't built on subsidy or fake life 100%. It's 85-90% investment and the proceeds of such will cater for 10-15% subsidy, social intervention etc. Nigerians need to understand that they have to PAY for the good life they want. You can't get that via wishful thinking or borrowings.
Secondly, Nigerians should understand how democracy works. Democracy begins and it's at the core from Local Government, then state and lastly, federal. The federal can't and will never be successful trying to do the work of the state and local government. For the First time since Nigeria returned to democracy in 1999, we're seeing huge fund going directly to the local government to be able to perform its task judiciously as the CLOSEST government to the people. The state are now getting up to 3X previous allocation etc.. in demanding good governance,Nigerians should start from the Local government and state. Gone are the days that local government will be at the mercy of state government for fund to carry out it's PRIMARY DUTIES.
lastly, you said APC use religious campaign, how and when? It was Labour party via it's candidate Peter Obi that used RELIGIOUS TOOLS as campaign strategy. Get your facts right!
Alol, so you use name papa mama give you take register for NL grin

Foundation of great Nigeria by series of tax innovations, creating policies that dissuade productivity and more investment .. whats FDI saying

How do you build a great Nigeria with clearing "Corruption" ... have you seen bricklayer build a foundation on a site without clearing the land

When you say he is building for the future, what are developmental project ongoing now that can augment our Revenue in that nearest future ... undecided

Nigerian have to PAY, wasnt that what they told us throughout Buhari 8yrs

Listen .. Tinubu govt as being combining both monetary and fiscal policies which sounds good on paper and the yielding results will only come on paper because he has no will mind to curb corruption, More money to the governor thats freely embezzled thats what we should be sacrificing for

Do local govt have autonomy for real, there last election was it election or selection ... with the way local govt are handpick what make you feel local govt funds are free from governors touch smiley where wike is still dictate how fubara will spend more with Tinubu backing naa local govt chairman go tell governor No 🤣

OGa, aside writing english well you have raised no valid point relative to reality ... lets just say you are day dreaming
what can secure our future are developmental project and policies that facilitate investment ... not owo mi daa agbero approach

Only in Nigeria have I heard that joining unions is tagged sabotage and causing punitive measures. If the engineers were truly sabotaging the refinery, it wouldn't have reached its fruition.
Is that the only thing you've heard about in Nigeria, what a Man will be in PDP and he will be declaring support for APC on Tv,
what about it is only in Nigeria a your employed staff in an hotel will buy drinks aside to replace the ones they sold at vip price
i can go on nd on, my Point is it cost cheap for people to betray or sabotage in Nigeria, so far money is involve. pikin dey kidbap papa for ransom dey play

My question of the nite, with the antecedents of Dangote as top employer of labour over the last 25yrs .. of what need is the union to the employee
Family › Re: Black Tax: Africa’s Silent Killer Of Dreams by chidiokay: 3:56pm On Oct 05, 2025
Dpsychologist:
Let’s be brutally honest — Black Tax is slavery dressed up as culture.

For those unfamiliar, Black Tax is the cultural expectation that once you start earning, your salary belongs not just to you, but to your parents, siblings, cousins — sometimes even uncles and aunties.
Sounds noble, right? But here’s the hard truth:

Many people in their 20s and 30s especially firstborns are stuck living like they’re still broke, not because they don’t earn, but because their family’s demands never end.
Everywhere in Africa, once you start earning, you’re automatically turned into the family’s ATM especially when not born with a silver spoon . It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out, if your salary is small, or if you’re struggling yourself — the moment you collect that paycheck, you owe everybody.

They call it “responsibility.” But let’s tell the truth:

It’s financial exploitation.

It’s entitlement disguised as love.

It’s one of the biggest reasons young Africans will NEVER break generational poverty.

The Trap

A graduate earns ₦70k.

₦20k to mum.

₦15k to dad.

₦10k to sibling.

Another cousin calls for school fees.

Uncle calls for “urgent 5k.”

At the end of the month, guess what’s left? Zero.
No savings. No investment. No future. Just endless poverty cycle.

And when you dare say “No,” you’re suddenly the wicked, ungrateful child.

The Irony

Here’s the painful part:

The same parents who drained their kids often never saved or invested when they were young.
They now dump the responsibility of their own financial failure on their children.

Instead of empowering the next generation, they enslave them with guilt.

And let’s be real — how many families use this money wisely?
At times, it goes into wasteful spending while the “breadwinner” suffers in silence.

The Hard Truth Nobody Wants to Hear

If African youth keep paying endless Black Tax, nobody will ever be rich.
One person cannot save a whole clan. Period.

👉 A child’s duty is not to fund laziness, poor planning, or entitlement.
👉 If you destroy your own financial future to please family, you will just create another generation of broke people.

The Conversation We Need

Should young Africans build themselves first before carrying family on their back?

Is saying “NO” selfish, or the only way to break free?

At what point does “support” turn into slavery?

Until we face the truth, Black Tax will keep Africa chained to poverty.

What’s your take?
Are we ready to break this culture, or are we too afraid of being called “selfish”?
Black Tax Negativity only exist on " iDEOLOGY ... givers never lack 100%
the truth is almost people looking to you for help will always be under you why you continue to excel the thought of failing them is enough to keep you on your toes.

Look around every family that one person helping .. remains richer year in year out .. my father raised is siblings children, paid 7children school fee plus his own kids ... that didnt stop him from building a house or changing cars till he died

People forming over educated, using grammar to sugar coat there stingyness weytin dem achieve ... don jazz , david, mr banks are all givers they pay black tax joyfully now bring out that stingy man you know richer than this people
ordinary portable as transformed is family, is broke now or naa house e no see build

if God is blessing your hustle, black tax no fit run you nada, carry your stingy mind with full chest leave story

Oga this is your ignorance speaking.
Most governors while commissioning have stated this.
I just told you that Mba of Enugu state said the same thing when he commissioned the new busses and bustops. Even Soludo said the same thing. So what is your problem.
If the governors from different states are saying the same thing that the senator has said why are you crying about it.
Otti himself has said this on so many occasions.
I don't understand you ignorant folks, you don't know and yet you hate knowledge, even when you are told you fight the knowledge.

Why will he be sharing testimony of other states in Abia state? The testimony was right there, the project they were commissioning is the testimony so why will he be talking about another state?
He was there for Abia state and not any other state.
Otti said the same thing the man said.
Are you sure you are alright?
HOW OLD ARE YOUhuh
Bro are you some toddler, what a this they say they say .. Politicians will say Anything But its left for us that listen to use our brain

what did Alex otti do, what did Mbah commission that governors could not back when subsidy fund was not diverted to governor,
Akpabio built airport and world class stadium, El rufai rebuilt Abuja, fashola, Ambode this are guyz that delivered excellent developmental project with subsidy funds

Then some clown politician is trying to justidy " subsidy removal " with a govenor conmissioning local govt projects

this one said that one said it, they are politicians they act alike But does it make sense, does it commensurate more money to governor

We have seen bigger project commissioned by governors with less fund .. thats the fuss

He was in Abia state for the commissioning of projects was he supposed to start talking about other states?
Some of you have very high level of low understanding.
So Abia state governor invites him for commissioning then when he is to address the people of Abia state you are expecting him to start talking about other states.
Has Mba not said this same thing the last time he commissioned the new buses, didn't the governor of Enugu state say this same thing?
Has Oti himself not said this on several occasions.
When you wan hate dey try use your brain dey do the hating
If he had witnessed commissioning in other states he wouldn't be so specific on subsidy removal yielding in Abia state ..
wait a minute if he shared testimony if what he saw in other state would it be treason or governor otti will flog him ... won't it have being a plus on Tinubu they all asslick

Anyone that want to play on intelligence and justify subsidy removal at an event must be able to make a reference @least on a broad scale
if he had not mentioned subsidy we wouldn't be having this conversation.

the good news is the case is in court, we just need to create more awareness to mitigate police using it to extort for now. The way Tinubu is convert every institution into Revenue generation entreprise will soon Drive Nigerians to an explosion mode
