The engine is now 300k plus for borale and 700k plus for full engine, you're also very correct about the gearbox. The steering rack is what I hate most with the first gen sienna followed by the britle door handles, it doesn't matter whether you're replacing with used or brand new, they'd still break like ore plantain chips.
But overall 1st gen sienna's are solid rides

06 to 04 is 3.3L

the 3.5L engine is more expensive than 3.3L but 3.5 has better fuel economy. You can stay away from the AWD sienna as the parts are expensive in the suspension area.

for the trim please watch out for those with run flat tyres as you will probably need to buy fresh sets of tyres in naija and it doesn't come with extra tyre.

Your focus should be the LE trim with second row having the small middle chair and probably automatic doors. if you are lucky it may have rear DVD screen.

And before you start chanting Toyota bandwagon, they use Peugeot vehicles particularly in the North. Even with the affinity for Honda vehicles in the North, how many Honda MPVs do you see used for interstate transportation?

So stereotypical preferences is now a yardstick for measuring which of the minivans are better ?
