What is happening to Enugu is a result of deliberate effort to educate Anambra investors to avoid that state henceforth. We are educating them that Enugu lacks water which makes life uncomfortable for living & business and that wawa people are very inferior to Anambra people so they should be the ones running to our state for survival. The only thing still keeping Enugu alive is their overrated airport. Once d Anambra int'l airport is completed, Anambra will explode in a boom never before seen while Enugu goes into demise. Give Enugu just ten years after our airport is complete & that town will turn to a mass of rusted brown roofs.

1. are there plans to create a GAS POWER PLANT for these budding industries.. coz if these guys are relaying on EEDC or worst still diesel for their power, there is almost nothing to celebrate here, but rather keep praying that God should give these industrialists more Grace to endure Nigeria
2. this one is for the experts in the house; how are these guys surviving when multi coys are closing shops left and right in Nigeria, some are relocating to Ghana, due to terrible working environment/bad govt policies.
3. despite these impressive industries, why do States like kano, Kaduna, Enugu stand shoulder to shoulder or even higher than Anambra in terms of IGR

I've been hearing of the NESTOIL one for some years now.....i think theirs is a gas-fired power plant.

The main thing i want to see happen is supply of gas-fired power to industrial clusters in the five south-east states. Of course some cities like Aba already have their own dedicated power plant (GEOMETRIC), but i think its take-off being delayed by the dispute they have with Emeka Offors company.

When Obiano started his first term, there was talk of a company (i think its name was Seven or something like that) supplying gas for domestic and industrial use in Anambra. That fizzled out and nobody talks about it anymore or cares to ask what happened. That's how we are....projects are either delayed or forgotten about after much fanfare, yet nobody asks any questions and the gov't can then get away with breaking promises they've made! We make governance too easy for them!

Here are ways to find out:

Single tick

Typically, when a message has successfully been delivered to the recipient on WhatsApp, the “ticks” are an indication of your message deliverable status. If you sent a message to a contact and the text stays on just a single tick for a very long time, this means your message has been sent but not delivered to the recipient. And if someone blocks you, your messages will never be delivered to the person. If your message remains on “Message sent” (with a single tick) for a long time, this is the very first (and most obvious) indication that you might have been blocked.

The group test

If after trying all the methods above and you are unsure of being blocked or not, you should carry out the group test. This is the ultimate confirmation. Create a group and try adding the “suspected” contact with the group. If the contact was successfully added to the group, then the user didn’t block you. If, on the other hand, WhatsApp display a “You are not authorized to add this contact” error message when you add the contact to the group, then surely, the person has blocked you.

Static profile

If someone blocks you on WhatsApp, the person’s profile will no longer be updated. This means you see their new profile pictures whenever they upload one. Instead, you’ll keep seeing the old one. There are times when the person’s profile picture disappears and all you’ll be shown is the regular WhatsApp display avatar whenever you try to view the person’s picture. However, this method should not be solely used to determine if you’ve been blocked or not.

Hidden timestamp

If the user’s timestamp no longer appears in the chat window, it could also be an indication that you have been blocked. This method is, however, not an effective confirmation as the user might just have changed his/her “Last Seen” settings in the Account Privacy menu.

Call attempt

Another test to carry out to confirm if you’ve been blocked on WhatsApp is the “Call Test”. Try calling the person either via Voice or Video call, if the call rings, then you have not been blocked. If, on the other hand, all attempts to call the person doesn’t go through (read: ring), it could mean two things: the user has no internet connection or you have been blocked.
