This is indeed commendable. Good job. Tinubu is doing well in my opinion |
lexy2014:A "Yea" or "No" answer from me is to partake in the a lot of ignorance... |
7demons:I completely align with this |
lexy2014:This is like asking me if I had seen Machu Pichu, Babylon, etc. What is your point? |
JackDaAlienz:Actually there is nothing new under the sun. Humans have evolved in genetics to even make huma-horses and other noble and mundane configurations. You must have seen some depictions of this in Babylonian arts of which Babylon is even a beaten-down less-evolved civilization. What you describe above is just the tidbits of what's to come. We will even be able to create bodies and invite consciousness (Soul) to occupy it and became a fully normal human. All those who think man is offending a deity out there by tweaking their biologies asre just myopic and do not even know what other beings are doing in other planets and dimensions. Myopia and ignorance is a plague we al suffer from. |
I think this guy is supposed to be removed for making these utterances. Didn't she know of the Turkish money before wesring the Nigerian colors to start with? The incompetence of his team cost the girl two tournaments and a dent on her profile. She is within moral rights represent a more serious team. |
On this projection, it is possible that Tinubu and his team would have been the best thing to have happened to this country since independence. |
Let's try to be posting positive posts about Nigeria and Nigerians. I am not sure the West have something like Nairaland where the post something like a retiring black pilot. |
Seriously Wike is an enigmatic worker. He delivers!!! This is for me is all we ask of African leaders because in matters of stealing amd corruption, no politician can go there and not steal or aid stealing. Anybody expecting a politician to deliver like Wike and be a saint at the same time is likely going to wait much longer. |
Racoon:Really bro? If only I had more words to share to fill my quota for words... |
Discovering Your Spiritual Purpose in This Life S. S. with T. B. When you ask a question from the heart, Divine Spirit answers. But It responds in Its own way, in Its own time. For several months I had been wondering why we're here--about my own and others' spiritual missions. I asked, What can Divine Spirit teach me about that? One night, to my surprise, I received a simple message--as if someone were typing it in my heart: Our mission and purpose in life is to love. Love ourselves, love God, love others, and love all of life. I understood this as the basic, generic, mission for everyone. Then the ECK, Divine Spirit, told me, "There's a second kind of mission, your specific mission. It is your personal way to learn about love in this life. This personal mission may come in the form of a specific skill or life lesson." I believe a personal mission is your individual way to feel and express God's love here and now. This ties in with a quote from The Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad, Book 2, the scriptures of Eckankar: "The aim and purpose of ECKANKAR has always been to lead Soul by Its own path back to Its divine source." So the road to God is not set! It's each Soul's job and responsibility to discover and follow Its own path home. Divine Spirit, the ECK, has been generous in Its message to me, showing me that our mission is as close as our breath, as natural as our handwriting. In fact, it's so close that we often miss it. We don't think it's much of anything. Are you a natural-born singer? Gardener? Organizer? Family nurturer? It's interesting how many of us don't have a clue about the mission that is so much a part of ourselves. Don't trip over your own gifts. They are your way of learning love and your way of serving life. I've learned a wonderful spiritual equation: Doing what you love equals happiness. Happiness is living up to your high potential of becoming a Co-worker with God. To put this into action, you may want to try a simple exercise: Take a piece of paper, and write down all the things you love. What makes you happy? Just brainstorm on paper for a few minutes--continue adding things over the next few days or weeks. Then write down what keeps you from doing the things on your list. Take time to really contemplate and act on your discoveries. What keeps us from finding our mission or from loving ourselves? First, we feel unworthy. We say, "I can't do it. I'm not good enough." Second, we don't listen. We have too many filters. We judge ourselves, thinking in terms of should and should not, good and bad, right and wrong. Or we have too many opinions about how things should be: "It's too hot to go out and paint." "It's too cold to stand out there and draw." "I'll have to drive to the store to get paints." These detours are experiences, our lessons, and as we learn to see a greater truth, they help us move into the divine consciousness. A friend, Kathryn, has always cared for others--kids, older people, almost anyone with a need. She cooks for friends or cleans for them. Her nurturing qualities show in bold relief to most of us. In fact, she ended up working as a waitress for years and now manages restaurants, constantly serving others. And they love her for it. Her three children love her too! I recently asked what her mission was. It surprised me that she didn't have a clue. She asked what I thought her mission was. I answered, "It seems to me that your mission is to serve and care for others; that it's your way of living more fully and giving to life." "I always suspected it might be caring for others," she laughed, "but because it was so easy and natural, I didn't think it was a very important mission." The next thing that keeps us from finding our purpose and loving ourselves is procrastination. We continually say, "I'll get around to it sometime." But life flies by! Just ask any eighty-year-old person. Another stumbling block can be not taking responsibility, not responding to our inner guidance. This block keeps life easy for us. Once we know our mission, we have to live it! This means commitment: less time to do other things and a lot more responsibility. -cont'd |
Mama weh no dey emotional or ignorant. Atiku made several political mistakes, one was fighting Wike, second was not picking her |
Yea, I was not caught up in the ignorance that trailed the criticism. Most just read "ambassador" and started raining insults on the Federal government |
So first they prayed. It was hard to speak because they'd had no water or food for four days. But then they croaked the HU as best they could. When they finished singing the HU, they saw a little white bird. It came and settled on the mast. They couldn't believe their eyes, so no one said anything. Each thought perhaps he was losing his mind from thirst and hunger. After about half an hour, someone finally said, "Hey, I see a little white bird. Can it have come all this way across the water?" The captain said, "Yes, I see it too." The captain spoke to the bird. "Madam, if you've come to give us confidence that we have a chance to live, please don't go. Stay there so I can catch you. We'll put you on the captain's bridge to cheer us up." And sure enough, the crew was able to creep up to the bird and put a string around its leg. Meanwhile they resumed singing the HU. Then the captain got a nudge. "One of you dive again to inspect the propeller." They did, and to their amazement, most of the net had come free of the propeller. So they ran down to the engine room to turn the shaft. They could grab the few remaining pieces of net off the propeller and cut themselves free. After they told us this story, I said, "You almost lost your life in this vessel, the Logos. Do you still want to fish on it?" The captain replied, "Madam, what are you thinking? We know that if we had been on another boat, we should never have seen shore again. We want to work for you and your God." And so now some of the crew have become members of Eckankar, and we have learned the power of the HU in times of need. -End |

Not long before we found Eckankar, my husband and I grew very restless with our lives. We both felt that it was time to stop serving the world so much, and to start serving God more. But how? During this same period, my boss grew unhappy with me. I felt I was trying to serve two masters. If I must choose between this job and the work of God, then I'd rather do the work of God. So I gave my resignation. I was sure God would not let me go without. I continued, in my small way, to help others. I spent many days helping my brothers get a bank loan for a fishing business. I pledged what little funds we had to help them repay an earlier loan in eight months instead of two years. One day, the bank manager said to me, "You are the kind of customer we want. There are many people who never repay their loans. But you've paid in eight months what should have taken two years." So my brothers got their second loan. We acquired a seventy-foot wooden vessel which we named Logos. This is Greek for the "word." At that time, we didn't know why the name was so appealing. Soon after, we became members of Eckankar and discovered the holy name of HU, the ancient name for God. It is a word which expresses God's love for us as Soul. We employed fifteen men to fish the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Ghana, where we live. Each fishing expedition lasted twelve hours, with enough food on board for twenty-four hours. One morning, as the men at sea cast their net, a wild wind blew. The net became entangled in the propeller, and the engine died. They sent one fisherman to go ashore and get help. But none came. Twenty-four hours passed. We finally got word in Accra, Ghana, of the missing boat. We notified the naval authorities. They sent out a search party. Each day, they returned with no news. By the fourth day, word reached us that the search-party captain had been approached by a priestess. She was a witch, as we still have in Africa. She told the captain that if he set out to look for our boat again, he would never see the shore again. We depend totally on the guidance and help of the Inner Master, the Mahanta. So we went into contemplation and invited the Mahanta's help. We got the idea to imagine all the tools on the boat, such as wire cutters, scissors, and knives. In contemplation we took these implements and cut the net from the propeller. Then the Inner Master said, "Baraka Bashad," and we thanked him. The following morning we turned on our shortwave radio. We had not been able to contact the crew so far. But this morning, we heard a faint voice. It was the captain, saying, "We're free, we're free. We're coming home!" So we called the naval authorities again. Perhaps they could find the boat and bring the crew food and water. They had been at sea for five days. But the authorities said that they still could not locate the boat. In America, if a boat was lost , it would be found through advanced technology. But in Africa, we had to depend totally on the Mahanta. When the boat returned, the captain told me about their experience: On the fourth morning, the crew had decided to sing the HU. They remembered that I had told them if ever they were in need of help, they should sing this word. They laughed at the time, because everybody in Ghana knows this word HU. We learn to sing it at our mother's knee. Our families tell us that whenever we're frightened or we're walking alone on a footpath, we should sing HU. So they thought I was being funny. But finally on the boat they said, "Why don't we try it? It's better than nothing." cont-d |
Great work. I thought it was the favorable weather |
I tend to reason towards this direction these days. One way to liberate yourself is to develop the capacity to see the good in even your enemy and acknowledge this even if just to yourself. In doing so, your path will become easier on its own. Its that 'simple'. seunmsg: |
Nasboi, Taoma Those two are easily funny and very creative. The tall guy infuses some intellectual jokes in his work. ... and why exclude Mr Macaroni ![]() All in all, the guys up there do a lot of work to entertain us. They are life's gifts to us and us to them. |
I do not get it, Farouk made a post apologizing and all in very unmistakable terms. Is it that you have something more for him to have said and done beyond wat he wrote? |
I see reason in what Wike says. The portion of the people who follow Peter Obi usually are very unrealistic in their reasoning. They say Wike is power hungry, but has anyone of them consider their vileness a sign of how power hungry they too are? Have they considered that the difference between them and Wike is simply opportunity and empowerment? This means if they are in better position, they would not only be vile, caustic and threatening, they would do worse than Wike. Therefore if Wike is this and that, they in their numbers are far more dangerous and should be groomed for sanity. |
These are some of the elements that destroyed Buhari's regime. Ironically it was same manner they did it. He raked millions from the CBN in the name of doing phony IT contracts |
delete delete delete. We need a delete post button here. |
Kudos to tue CBN Governor on this. It was a total mess earlier. |
89green:You remind me of one of the guys in the parable of the sower... |
If it was his personal business, being "compassionate" would be in place. But he gambled with the destiny of a nation and called it " compassionate"? Although there is the possibility of the cabal shielding and white-washing a minister before Buhari and making that minister a cash cow. If they allegedly printed news papers for him, sign documents as him, they would do anything. |
UkoAnnang:"Intellectual"... you're kidding right? The word is : "emotional" |
Esthered:Lack of understand harms us as a nation and we are too emotional to reason. You just see statistics and start talking down on your country. This was how some folks from a certain part of Nigeria jumped at the "experiment' where you change Ghanian Cedis to Naira and you get a big sum of money and people started saying Nigerian currency is poorer. It was until some reasoning Nigerian decided to spend same amounts in the respective country to compare what one can get with it. That was when the reality became clearer. |
I think so too. Seun hired Christians who believe only content about Christianity should be here. They removed one of my content just like that because it poked a whole on some Christian belief even though the thread di not break any rule. Since we have distinct section dedicated to Islam, I think Seun should make Christianity distinct as well while creating a section for general beliefs and philosophical thought away from the intolerant duo of Christianity and Islam. |
