Good Day All,

I saw this on Instagram and thought this would be useful to many of us, especially those needing tips on what to expect or actions to take when you arrive Canada.

Cheers!

Thanks.

Thank you CHIKACIC. does the vaccine have any mild reaction? Is it still possible to received the first dose and what days is it administered?

Thanks.

From my personal experience, side effects depend on individuals. But common ones are high fever/temperature; headache and body pains, especially at the site of the injection. So, have a pain reliever handy like paracetamol.

Do ensure you eat before taking the vaccine and also find out the name of the vaccine being administered to ensure that it is one of the vaccines approved by IRCC.

The rest of your questions can be answered at the center you choose for vaccination.

Hope this helps.

Good morning Nairalanders,

Congratulations to everyone who has received their PPR last week. May God's mercy and Favour be upon the applications of those waiting for IRCC for a favourable decision.

Please house where can I take the vaccine in Lagos? I mean Government approved location where I can take the first and second doses of the vaccine in Lagos. What is the interval between the first dose and the second dose of the vaccine.

Please I need you response.

Thanks in anticipation for a answer.

See attached and it is usually 6 weeks interval.

Hope this helps.

Yes

Dual intent is allowed.

I had a visit visa running while I applied for study permit .

Pls @Lianna2020, having a temporary visa and later applying for another temporary visa is not dual intent.
Dual intent relates to temporary and permanent visas or vice versa, which is allowed as long as the applicant can convince the VO to approve the application.

Hi, good evening
Please where did you take it?
And is the first dose still being given ?

Where are you residing?
I only have data for those residing in Lagos State.
See attached.

The best way to know whether the first dose is still available is to go to the nearest designated center and make enquiries.

Hope this helps.

Intent is allowed .

Yes, dual intent is allowed.
But IMHO, I don’t think your case relates to that.
A visit visa and a study permit/visa are both temporary stays. Dual intent in this contest connotes two different intentions. Permanent and temporary intents. Kindly see attached.

I stand to be corrected.

That’s what I’m saying , you can input your information anytime
It mustn’t be 72 hrs before travel and if you want to fill it 72 hours then it’s no problem at all.

Even a day to is fine to.

Okay, thanks for the explanation.

BTW: “IMHO” is an acronym for “In My Humble Opinion”. I wrote “IMOH”... the error is on me.

Hope it’s clearer now.

You can fill it anytime , it doesn’t matter.

It will just count down to your travel date and when you are in, it will be asking you if your have symptoms , if no, you record it yourself

@Lianna2020: I was thinking it was to be done within 72 hrs before departure. See attached, or is that what is on ground is different from what they have on the website? Abeg, help a sista understand better having gone through the process yourself.

Good morning all,
Please is it possible to get the complete dose for covid-19 vaccine in nigeria between now and 10th of august if the person have not taken any before?

Thanks

IMOH, if you take the first dose today 6/7/21 it may not be possible cos there is a six weeks interval before the second dose can be taken on 17/8/21.

I took my first on 21/6/21 and my next dose will be on 2/08/21.

Hope this helps.

They told us to be coming everyday as if we are jobless. Only second doses are being administered. My brother who is a doctor has taken his own and advised me to do so too.

Hope the attached helps.

IMHO, the enrollment letter is not part of the mandatory documents (LOA from a DLI; Proof of Funds; Covid-19 plans) an international student should have to enter Canada. The enrollment letter requirement is probably at the DISCRETION of the immigration officers, cos they are the ones who has the final say as per exit from and entry to any country. It has always been known that possession of passport/visa/permit does not mean automatic exit from or entry to any country. One may still be denied exit or entry at the POE.

Better to have it if your school can provide one, to avoid stories that touch....

I stand to be corrected. Just my view on the issue.

Shayee35:
No, you don't have to be enrolled before you travel. Enrollment letter is asked for mainly because students have started classes at their home country. If your classes or registration has not started, please take your letter of acceptance with you. Also, if you have been given admission and you have your PPR, check with your school for webinars for new students. They have all this information and you can always get clarity from the international students office.

From the info I gathered, due to Covid, you are not advised to enter Canada more than 4 weeks before classes start. So if your class starts in September, 1st to 2nd week in August is a good time to travel, so you can quarantine, if you are not fully vaccinated.

Very correct!

@LJF11: See attached link.

Congratulations to all PPR recipients.
