The trick is to add a bit more water when blending it. It's funny you know, when maki9ng akara, the thicker your paste the better. It's quite the opposite for moi-moi. smiley
Thanks

There was this moi moi I made. After icooking, it turned out to be stone shocked

I just cut the thing small small , and poured into the jellof rice I was cooking.

Funny enough I dumped the whole food. It was a mess.

How do you get the white soft puree I see on top of moi moi cooked with plates?

Roland17 and Efemenaxy .

From my own comprehension, the line that tick off from Roland post is when he said he hates lazy people . Not only did he stop there, he then added esp women.

That comment is questionable.

But since he said he didn't mean it that way, let's forgive him. We the association of micro wave women go sit meeting for him head grin

I redecorated my kitchen. What Do you guys think? wink

Used to have darker countertops. I thought it was too dark. I'm loving the new look. smiley

The lighter color now contrasts beautifully with stuff I place on it. Oga thinks I trouble myself unnecessarily.

Okay, so we all woke up really late this Saturday. Too late for breakfast and too early for lunch, so I made some brunch for the family.

Fried yams and stew served with roast fish, scrambled eggs (again, no oil used here), Brussel Sprouts, seedless purple grapes, and some oranges for our much needed vitamin C. smiley
been long i had a fried yam like this. Round style fried yam.

It was the usual style by mumsi growing up.

EfemenaXY:
On the contrary, I understood that post of yours very well.

Just because you admire a particular poster's way of preparing dishes (albeit manually) is entirely your preference and you are 100% entitled to your views.

However, you have no right to use your preference as a yardstick for judging others (especially women) on their preferential mode of cooking / food preparation! You use strong words such as annoy, detest, and lazy in your rant against women. Why? Is that necessary? Why the judgmental stance from you?

You don't live in these people's homes, so it's not your place to call anyone lazy for choosing to use a microwave as opposed to a mortar and pestle in cooking / gas/ stove or look down on them for choosing to buy ready-made-frozen foods as opposed to cooking fresh. Everyone's different and what works for one person doesn't have to be your cup of tea.

And these women you were referring too, were you by chance making reference to the married ones with kids?? angry angry

And if yes, have you thought to ask yourself why such women would resort to using frozen foods prepared via their microwaves if their husbands could cook? Why didn't you mention the men in your post? I've seen pics of men strutting their stuff well in the kitchen here. Now if every man strives to cook a fraction of what these men do here, then maybe, just maybe, the women you detest so much and call lazy won't have to resort to modern ways of cooking as opposed to using the grinding stone.

The title of this thread is: Cook In Your Kitchen, Take Pictures, And Post Them Here. SIMPLE.

Not name call, judge, and put down those who even make the effort in the first place. No one really cares if the food prepared was microwaved / grilled / pounded. Just cook, snap and post.

Shikena!
cheesy happy new yr ma!

But the 2/3 of the content of the 72pages left is still the basics one should know.

That aside, when is the next bidding date?
Is it really still advisable to pump in money into tbills, considering the forthcoming election and other unstable economic factors @ d moment.

Whts your take?!

You no get sense oh " sufferness" is what makes a good wife.
If you are enjoying your marriage and not going through all the suffer its either;

1. You are jazzing ya husband
2. Your husband is a weak man
3. You are a feminist
And my personal favourite
4. You are an online wife lying to gullible long suffering women because you cannot have a good marriage and if he hasn't cheated you haven't caught him yet hehehehehe.

Na the women like to suffer abeg leave them, I didnt come to this world to escort anybody to enjoy while I am cleaning, cooking, looking after battalion children, borning every year, cooking fresh soup every day, washing jeans manually, grinding pepper yet remaining sexy in red pant and bra. While still finding time to run all over town looking for those jazzebels seducing him as he claims and fighting with them while he looks on happy and satisfied that two stupid women are fighting over his pot belle and alcohol breathe. While you are busy doing all these he is on nairaland bashing feminists hoping praying and fasting you never become like them. Then once in a while he formulates stories like this so you know how lucky you are that he still stays with you and you haven't become a hopeless divorcee, lesbian or feminist

FamilyRe: Advice : My Elder Brothers' Wife Quarrels Me Unneccesarily by Chillis: 3:38pm On Dec 31, 2014
aisha2:
You did right by walking away, it would have been worse if you stayed and exchanged words which was probably what she wanted.
Old age is not a right to be rude and loud.

Before reporting to your brother, I advice you wait till things are calm and speak with her one on one.
1. Ask why she feels you can only hear her if she shouts or talks in a condescending manner

2. Ask if there is any reason she doesn't think you deserve some regard

Tell her you are willing to respect her and have no issues with her if she also gives you some respect and stops shouting at you when she talks.
I didn't read all you wrote but I believe you are right. cool

Op follow this advice .
