Guy u are pissing me off with your hatread for GEJ, when did this guy became the president that u want me him to turn everything around in a twinkle of an eye. what federal assistance and support to distressed Nigerians that Your tribe man did, through out his 8 years reign as president. If FG gives them amnesty, they should be ready to give the MASSOB amnesty, is it only one region or group that has the potential to make trouble or cause restiveness. It is not only BOKO HARAM that can throw bombs, the MASSOB can equally throw bombs. Rubbish Amnety, Amnesty ni Amnesty ko.

Guy i am disappointed with your statement, Niger delta at least they have cause to fight for Amnesty, vast revenue of this country is gtten from Oil, where is the Oil wells located, is it in Borno, Kano Sokoto etc? This norther people shold be breatful we are together and they are benefiting from the allocation that comes with oil revenue. As far as i am concern, the Niger Delta has a good cause to figtht, what cause do those teriorist have?

May Amdioha (God of Thunder) finish all of them with their generations. They are bunch of fools. GEJ no listen to those fools, by the time you give them amesty be ready to gove MASSOB, OPC and other groups. Amnesty for Niger Delta is understandable, their localities provide the vast revenue for our country, wetin those area dey contribute to demand amnesty. Rubbish

Negro_Ntns:

I know military the General (Nwaogbo) is qualified to serve in any region of the sovereign domain of Nigeria.

His presence as the voice, face and authority in Maiduguri commanding force against Boko is a political suicide for Gej and for Nwaogbo's people, the Igbos.

This is not tribalism; its the truth!!

The Boko problem is a political one first, before it is military.  The opposing force to it must wear a politically accessible face to move the talks and negotiations an inch forward and convince the enemy to buy-into it.

They should feel any way they like, the General is simply doing his job. When restiveness were high at Niger delta region and when kidnapping/hostage were common at the East, The northern solders were deployed to that the zones and they control the affairs of the troops then.

Common sense should tell you that in this kind of situation you don't send someone to go and attack his tribe, either he will be sentimental and not perform the job effectively, or his family may suffer from his tribe men, because it will be in history that he was the person that headed the troop that destroyed his people.

to people such as yourself, failure depends on tribe. For example, a hardworking yoruba governor is a failure to you because he is yoruba, even if he's working hard to give your lazy butt an improved living condition.

to other rational, educated, sensible and credible people who arent motor park touts, failure is wilful refusal to get your butt out of your chair and actually do what your job description entails which is serve your people, not embezzle funds that are meant for the development of your state.
so, this is why you remain irrelevant.

why insults?

Her mistake was grave and avoidable at the same time. i understand the feelings here, however, she should be forgiven, and as a NLer said, the family of the deceased doctor should be encouraged to forgive her. And I know if she is truly sorry for what happened, God has forgiven her, how much more us. As humans, we are not in anyway better than her.

In as much as i acknowledge her quest to impact on the society, me think, it's rather not the right time for her to come to limelight again so soon. She should let the dust she raised douse first. She can giver her supports behind the scenes. Her public engagements might be misunderstood by some. Human nature sometimes can be so unpredictable.

Exactly, the person she killed, was not any kind of person, but a medical doctor that cost his people a lot of resoucres to train, with the hope that he will become somebody and take good care of them, only for her to cut down their hope. The doctors is dead and burried and his family members are struggling to fight the blow, only for them to see the muderer of their son/brother/uncle/in-law/friend as a celebrity that is enjoying her life. In as much as i know that a dead person is gone, but she needs to live a quiet life for now.

Easterners wanted their own country, Northern Nigeria had a problem with that, insisting on ONE Nigeria. For your information, we MUST remain ONE country until,

SLS has created two guidelines, there MUST be only ONE guideline! PERIOD!

I forsee a situation where all muslims will have their deposits in Al Qaeda Bank with all their branches in the north, and then torch banks and churches at the slightest provocation.
ONE NIGERIA,

That is my fear, and the possibility of what you said above is very high. Tomorrow you will hear that Union bank PLC was bombed at Suleja, Diamond Bank was burnt at Kaduna. Since these religious crisis statred at the North, have you heard that one Mosque was burnt or bombed. Every single day i have special prayer for my relatives and friends at the north, for God to protcet them from these fanatics.

Why are u guy this dumb, from head to toe sorry to say is it that u guys are told to bank in this bank by force or what is your problem non intrest banking or Islamic banking as it may be called is a bank where u bank at will not by force so if the Muslims says they want to go Islamic banking what is pastor AYO ORITSHEJAFOR'S problem with that.

Guy why are u talking as if u do not live in Nigeria or u have not stayed in Nigeria before, so when Boko Haram wants to do their bombing, it would be at the conventional banks, where most of the depositers and owners are christian and will leave the Islamic Bank that is owned by them. I am not against Islamic banking, is just that our society is not secured enough to protect Conventional Banks at the North when these crises comes up. They should hold on for sometime b4 esterlishing it.
Business / Re: Islamic Banking: It Won't Work, Sanusi Is Looking For Trouble - CAN by chimaike: 1:27pm On Jul 11, 2011
From what i have been told, that the Islamic banking is just an arm of banking, well i do not have any personal problem with it, but i sincerely believe that as soon as the Islamic bank comes to existance, so many Muslems will withdraw their monies from these conventional banks and deposit them on this Islamic bank, as they are known as fanatics, they always like and give exceptional interest to their own things, thereby making Christians to be majority users of these conventional banks and immediately their is problem in the North such as relious killings, Suicide bombing, etc, their major target will be on these conventional banks, knowing fully well that the predominant users are christians and they will suffer the effect much.

So in a circular country like Nigeria, we do not need such system.

No matter how much you want to vilify the Nigerian Engineers, we are are a reflection of the society. We can only do so much to the extent of the challenge we get.

We ignorantly give all the big projects to foreigners and expect magic! Many American projects worth Billions fail yearly but they don't fail to give new projects to their Engineers.

By the way, you need to be registered by COREN to attach the appellation: ENGR.

I support my President (NSE).

Guy please do crack my ribs while lauging, are you trying to say that an American trained doctor, lawyer & engineer that is not registered in Nigeria are as follows
If you are not professionally registered as a Doctor you are something else! =Native doctor
If you are not professionally registered as a Lawyer you are something else! = Mediator
If you are not professionally registered as an Engineer you are something else! = Meson

becomrichv:

To be honest with you, I am smarter than most of Jonathan ministers. I dont think people are impressed by Jonathan ministers list.  none of Jonathan minister have ever offer solution to Nigeria problem. They have no idea how to fix Nigeria. The man who was former transport minister was a disagree on television. All he did while watching him on the internet was roll his babariga.

He never said any smart thing , even before , he start, you know this man is going to be a failure. No one should expect anything of Jonathan government from the next 4 years, because his minister list are just people who can not perform.  Even Prof Nnaji. all the PHCN union have called for fast and prayer on this man.  prof nnaji is a failure. I know alot more than that man.

It tell you, before Jonathan started. he has failed with the people He picked as minister.

Look Awolowo was a region leader  who went to jail for treason in  Balewa govt and he was minister of finance in the federal cabinet of Gowon. nigeria did not own money. what I am trying to say. minister must be people who have mind of their own. People who are independent of their own mind and can speak their mind, even if it is opposite to public or govt position.  But you have people who just say thing to please the govt. Have you not seen me oppose the govt.

No nation can change with Yes Men. and the people on Jonathan list are yes men. Everybody is putting forward their name or trying to make the newspaper so that they can remember them for ministerial nomination now. But they have nothing to offer.

I went to Ethiope from canada some years ago and I was shock that even while ethiope did not have money, their street light works in ethiope. How long do we put useless people in power that cant make change. I think the list are not men who should be minister. that is my own opinion, it is a list of people who have nothing to offer the nation of Nigeria. and in four years I will back to tell you. I told you so.

It will be another of my accurate prediction.

Please tell us all you know abt this man, we are listening.

prof.femi:

@Chima, Tee_Jay
So lets say you're the boss of a company, a subordinate abuses you publicly and refuses to apologize to your face. This same subordinate pulled similar stunts with previous bosses. So you think the best thing to do is for YOU to INVITE HIM over? Especially when as you point out, he's not a kid? (by the way, Chima, you seem to have missed why I talked about kids in the first place, ). Come on, be real.

Tee_Jay asked whether he fought someone. So you believe that someone's behavior can't affect team spirit until you have actual fisticuff in a team?

Look, enough hiding behind excuses and rhetorics. The young man offended his coach and team (or is this in doubt?). He should apologize. If he doesn't, he either has previous beef with the coach or he is an indisciplined (though talented) guy. Based on Osaze's lengthening history with coaches, I believe its the latter.

@Prof, you should be aware that super eagles team is not the same as a coporate organization, the players they are more concerned about patriotism than making money playing for super eagles. Osaze quest for playing for Nigeria is more of patriotism than making money from Super Eagles, because his match allowances are pea nuts compared to what he receives as a forign player. Come to your question If  i am a boss of a company and my sub-ordinates misbehaves, there are so many factors i would need to consider such as follows, how important is that worker to me, would his absence affects my firm, would i get someone as professional as the worker ASAP, etc, if the worker does not fulfil all this criterias, i will do away with him, but if he has one or more of these criterias, i will allow him until i get a good replacement.

If you should ask me, Osaze is still important for the national team, maybe as time goes on he can do away with him, but not now.
