GeneralDae: If they don’t develop the capacity to focus on details and use textbooks for rigorous research now, there is the danger of them not becoming thorough enough in the work place and may have short attention span. I agree... In addition, Researching builds students learning process, study habits reasonsing and logical deductions that just a final answer from AI can't give you. These are things one learn along side unconsciously that can be leveraged to other areas of life. Though PROMPT has become a new must have skillset with AI if they chose to toss textbook-research away. But if texts are outdated or assignments/projects are quite huge with deadlines, then abstracting some of the process with AI ain't bad.. Same can be said with calculators; they fasttrack mundane calculations when estimating results for larger mathematical projects/problems.. #Mytake STUDENTS Textbook 80% AI 20% UNDERGRADUATES Latest Textbooks/google 60% AI---40% WORKFORCE AI - 90% Textbook...10% |

jonnysessy: You definitely don't need a crystal ball to know that FCMB will pay less than Fidelity. Even the 125k paid by Fidelity is small when compared to its price of N19. WEMA has up their game by N1.00. I am so much interested in Access Bank, they shouldn't pay anything less N2.00. The smaller banks are playing catch-up with the big boys. We wait. WEMA ₦1 !! they are really playing a strong catch up. Make FCMB dey do anyhow. As for Access, dont put your hopes too high.. They are not even coming to the market again and new shares have been listed just like Zenith. |

madridguy: In the [b]aftermath of the incident, Adams-Odutayo allegedly refused to step out of her car to check on the victim. Eyewitnesses reportedly rushed to the scene and begged her to help, but she did nothing. When they approached her friend, they were reportedly told, “She doesn’t want blood to stain her car.” Some people are naturally very wicked. Yes, probably sounds immoral. But having read several cases of people being lynched. I won't blame her that much. At least she didn't run away. I would try to go to the nearest police station first to report. |

That said, the current first lady of Nigeria, Remi Tinubu, has been steadfast. I'm not sure she's done any serious bad. She seems to be the most active we've in fact had in recent times. Sge encourages agriculture and has been doing some positive things. Going there to donate 10000 nursing equipment is a good gesture. Not sure Aishat Buhari did anything close except to dangle her glasses, bangles and beauty online.

guyzgirl: A bank borrowing at 21% as per the most recent commercial paper doesn’t look good to me, and I believe many investors would share the same sentiment. Returns would go to debt holders rather than shareholders. Comparing this to the dividend yield makes it look worse. For Banking stocks worst case scenario basis for F. dividend using Access as a case study. Worst case Since their new OS has increased by about 50%, it's ideal their Final dividend " Just might" be discounted by same amount depending on what each investors expect as the payout amount assuming the old OS. Assuming a payout of ₦3 (on old OS). Access just might payout ₦3/1.5=> ₦2 Assuming a payout of ₦5(old Os) Access just might Pay ₦3.3 Assuming a payout of ₦2(old Os) Access just might pay ₦1.3 Remember "just might".. Pure speculative thoughts. Anything less, na OYO. |

Zegra: Trust me ,all these back and forth na because them no allow ALH to game the system. Typically when you import something with dollar, you sell it to the local market in naira and still make your profit. Chinedu import computer in dollars ,will you now say chinedu should sell his computers to local users in dollar ? Baba is doing all these because he's becoming too big for the goverment to manage and that along na risk to the country. The way I understand it, Not necessarily buy in dollars and sell in dollars per se. But DR wants to now sell in Naira (but Real Dollar-Equivalent) what he buys in dollars. (Accounts for Major quantity of DR raw-crude by over 50%). As against the current buying in dollars and selling in Naira (Dollar-discounted equivalent) courtesy of NNPC Naira-crude Deal. (accounts for minor quantity of DR raw-crude by less than 35%) On the Chinedu analogy If "Chinedu" is in a Free Trade Zone(FTZ) he can also sell in dollars.. So "Chinedu" should probably better build a spot in the new potential ogun state FTZ now space is available cuz ALH is already there to build sea port so "Chinedu" can also sell his computers in $$💵. It's called business opportunity not gaming the system. |

GeneralDae: The initial deal which was made in 2020/2021 assumed that Nigerian NNPC would be able to supply Dangote about 300k bpd crude for the first 2 years of operations (during test runs and start- ups) to form the remaining 12.5% stake. At that time, crude oil production still hovered around 1.8 million bpd comfortably and it seemed easy to get to 2 million bpd again which it was in 2019 before COVID. But in 2021/2022/2023 it had fallen gradually to an all time average low of 1.2 -1.3 million bpd. NNPC cancelled the former contract and eventually settled for 7.5% stake which they still had to borrow for. Yes I remember this deal. It would have been a better deal. Dangote reduces cost of raw materials-Crude to a minimum as NNPC mops up their stake through free crude delivery. DR Ramps up profit at a faster pace to pay off debt. And by far a reduced cost of petrol at the stations . |

Hogwarthtrades: I strongly believe the next phase of Naira for crude swap deal would definitely be longer probably through 2027 considering the success of the 6 months trial so far.
The challenge the committee would be trying to resolve would be figuring out what the benchmark of crude pricing for this deal would be (oil price in the world market should start to come down from here probably towards 60's or lower ), and figure out how to honour forward swaps arrangement the govt/ NNPC made with Nigeria's creditors.
The current administration know that needful must and would be done. As for support, Dangote refinery and local refineries are slowly getting the support they need in the face of multiplicity of greedy interest facing the oil n gas sector. That said, can more be done, of course yes! slow and steady Nigeria is progressing. Viva Nigeria! Na the koko be this I Hope dem deal-makers and deal-brokers in that their committee are thinking like this |

RodgersAkpafu: Well, they are doing themselves
If I were them I will strike a deal with dangote to list on the NSE Buy the shares for cheap pre ipo (via proxies of course)
then give him all the support that he needs up to the point of IPO then cash out massively from the value created
Win for my pocket Win for dangote group Win for Nigeria....
That's how corruption is practiced in Asia I guess they were smart enough to think of that. But the FG via NNPC chickened out at only 7% stake like Chickens 🐔 🐔 Probably they felt their refineries will also be a game changer as well. |
