HealthRe: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by Chimzy09(f): 2:04am On Jan 30, 2019
nahzyla:
Hello mamas

Please my DS of a year and one week is refusing to chew his food. If I give him anything that does not have the consistency or texture of pap/ custard he usually swallows at once without trying to soften the food in his mouth first. Even very soft mashed rice or beans, he just swallows at once and starts coughing and choking. It has to be very watery and almost liquid before he can eat it without coughing because he doesn't chew or mix food in the mouth with spit first.

I don't know how to teach him to chew his food.
Help me.
Maybe give him finger foods? Like cucumber, steamed carrot, boiled potato or yam etc. cut to finger length. Give him to feed himself with supervision and see. You could make him see you taking a bite and chewing (make chewing sounds maybe?? Like mwah mwah Lol) while at it so he sees how it’s done

please mama's how can I make my son take drugs. I have tried to force him he will just pour it out. I try to sprinkle water or blow breeze on his face while giving him the medicine but all to no avail. I have tried using a dropper and it's still the same.is there a way I can trick him or cajole him?
With the dropper or a syringe, you can put through the side of his mouth and then drop it under or on the side of his tongue...reflex will make him swallow. Worked on all my sisters’ kids. Currently working on my DD. Be careful not to squirt it directly into his throat to avoid choking
HealthRe: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by Chimzy09(f):
Since other mamas answered the other questions you had, I’ll answer the one about sticking out tongue. I noticed my DD had it when she clocked 4 months. It just started one day like that and tbh, it was hilarious to watch cos she did it almost all the time. It is called tongue thrust reflex and should go away by or before 6 months when you have to introduce solids. Once it stops, the next weird thing you’ll notice is they start tightening their lips when you want to give them something they don’t want/know, clicking their tongues , spitting stuff out intentionally and blowing bubbles with saliva... grin cheesy

Stay strong mama and don’t let google give you High BP...just enjoy the process and milestones

Ajakaiye83:
Pls I need your help.

Seems my baby has hypotonia also called floppy syndrome.
His muscle tone is very low.Has poor neck control, low weight and can't bear weight on legs at 4 Months.
Sticks out tongue occasionally.
Birth weight is 2.3kg and present weight is 4.4kg

I was told not to take it while at the hospital, I can't remember the exact reason. My sis in law still said I shouldn't take it until 8weeks post delivery, I'm 4weeks PD and really want to include it in my diet but need to be sure. I don't even know if Yogurt is included cos I've taken that like thrice.
I was told not to take milk just incase it gave me gas/made me bloated a few days following the surgery cos you’re supposed to avoid anything that would put stress on your digestive system. Tried to take milk about 3 weeks later but it seriously affected DD. I tried a couple of times again and noticed whenever I take milk she will spit up so much you’ll think she threw up and she will have explosive poop that will require change of clothes and sometimes a thorough bath (TMI - and the poop was watery and mucusy) so I had to cut milk from my diet. Egg affects her too but not so much, she would only have mild spit up

Top is for grilling, bottom is for baking. The button on the right is to light up the gas, instead of using a match stick or a lighter; you hold the button down, you will hear a cackling sound, then u turn your gas knob but it will be to be plugged to electricity b4 it will work.
So explicit mama. But the bolded is for the button on the left. The one on the right is to turn on the bulb in the oven

Wrong thread. Check the US Immigrant visa thread

When I finish my M.s in Germany, can I move over(migrate) to Canada/US?

Would love a country that its language is based solely on English.

Need answers please

Okay. Thank you, I ll apply and pick november date for interview since my EDD is in feb 2019. What do you think?
Once you are denied, you have to wait 6 months. You can't reapply immediately anymore

Austine2020:
November is far, u need to apply earlier incase the outcome didnt favour u,then u will still have time to reapply again. So u better start early so far the Visa will still be 2years. So applying early wont do u any harm at all.

There's also a Disneyland in Paris. A schengen visa should fix that. Sorry for the denial

GreenArchitect:
I had a hunch that might have been what she was looking out for in my bank statement but it would be improper to come to a conclusion by relying solely on my personal bank statement. The Ghana trip was funded from the company account and I didn't see it fit to go to the interview with the company statement of account since the intended trip was going to be privately funded.Kindly send me a link to the Disneyland in Dubai let me see if I can get my wife to buy in.Thanks.

Thanks so much for your prompt response. That's the same option I see being feasible for her

OmoBendel24:
I will go with 2 if I were in this situation. Wait till you have a good reason to travel and use the unlocked MRV fee receipt number. It is valid for a year from date of purchase, and I believe you know that, but I'm just saying this for emphasis sake....
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Chimzy09(f):
Good day all. A friend of mine tried expediting her appointment in Abuja but it got denied. Her doctor's appointment and date she indicated she was traveling in her DS 160 are in June. The date she booked before applying for expedition is August 5th while her EDD is July 16th. What can I advice her to do?

1. To go for the interview after she has had the baby with her current DS160 and explain to the VO? She applied for a B2 visa indicating Childbirth. Will it matter that she already had the baby?
2. To not attend and hope she gets to use her MRV after it is unlocked for no show?
3. To fill another DS160 removing all indication of childbirth? But the issue is, she would then not have a reason for applying

Please advice. Thank you

That's for the doctor. There's no way to reach the hospital financial counsellor

customised87:
If you read the sent scanned papers well, u ll see where it's written that you should reply them with a date you ll want for your first appointment. When you reply them, they ll send back a letter showing that you have an appointment with them on the said date

I'm having same issues. Emails bounce back and they keep transfering to her voicemail! I guess I'll make do with what has been sent already since the hospital website doesn't open here

Mamaiyanu:
Hello dear NLanders, please can anyone help?

Been trying to get a hospital quote for HNMC for the last two weeks to no avail. I called Dr Xydas office and they sent me some attachments that look like they were scanned by a child! I can see the info I need but I need something that looks decent and I can present at embassy/poe.

I called Dr Morgan's office and they asked me to call the hospital for the quote. I have called about 5 times during US working hours and when they transfer me to the financial counsellor, it's her voicemail I always get.

I got her email shelly.braham@coniferhealth.com but all the mails I have sent just bounce back.

I would appreciate if anyone here has a decent quote and can send to me, or has an alternate way I can reach the hospital to get the quote myself.

Thanks

I'm guessing the fact that you and DH applied together; from the statement in bold

sazlex:
VO: Turns to ME, will you be travelling with her.
DH: Yes, to witness child birth.
VO: How long will you stay?
DH: 2weeks.
VO: Have you traveled before.
DW: No, although we were planning to travel to mark our 5th wedding anniversary in May but plans changed when we became pregnant.
VO: Am sorry you are not qualified for visa.
DW: But why?
VO: We are ensuring that only US citizens are in the US at this time and that those travelling have strong tiles to return

Please am new to this platform, have been reading and taking notes, but i need more clarifications and advices.

I intend to apply for a medical visa to have my baby is California, but haven't gotten an invite, can i apply without an invitation letter? Also my DH has a British passport, shld I mention this at the interview, and he's sponsoring the trip, how much should be in his account to satisfy the VO.

Pls need your honey advice
You don't need an invitation letter. You only need to contact a doctor and/or a hospital, get your appointment letter and go on for the interview with your printed doctor's corespondence

Please, can you explain the one month stamp in. Will the baby be required to be returned to US at expiry. Confused. Thanks
After baby is stamped in, you have to process the baby's Nigerian passport within the stipulated one month

Good morning mamas in the house. Can someone or people who went through Houston POE between January and now share their experiences. Kindly help a sister out as I am in a panic mode, I bought a BA ticket to Houston for April and my family and friends have been scaring with different tales of being sent back, even the person I rented an apartment from is not recommending I come in through Houston and my ticket is non-refundable. What do you all think? Thank you as I await your response.
Search for POE Houston in the search bar and select travel. You'd find so many
