If you are watching Liverpool vs Tottenham via Mcot HD1, English commentary option is available via the audio button. Press the audio button on your remote, and change the audio track to 2[English]. |

Truly1: @Chinedu7, thanks for your prompt response. Now can I use any 2-in-1 cable or which one is better that you would like to recommend since its going to be long as my other room is a bit far to the living room. Anyone, just make sure that the cable inside is tick enough. If you can find the foreign second hand one, then better. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by Chinedu7: 8:55pm On Oct 23, 2016 |
Truly1: How possible is this if the tv is far away in the other room, since the red/white is not all that long. You need to buy fresh long 2-in-1 cable and 6 av heads for the connection. It means that you will need to make the AV cable yourself since the distance is longer than usual cable you find in the market. |

lincolnola: @ Odilibe I tried using one lnb for ses5 and 7e using the above TPs, only 12034V 27500 hit green @ 60% on 1M dish. 7e did not flash green at all Make sure you don't use 1 metre or above, it mostly work on 80cm and 90cm. If you have DSTV 90cm, you good to go. |

Truly1: @Chinedu7, well done as you are always spot on as usual. Pls can you give us the pictorial representation of this your explanation as I'm equally interested. This your option appears to be more economically sound, most especially in this era of Buharinomics! I used only two splitters for this experiment, the two I plugged in gave me 4 outputs, if it's complete {3}, I will have 6 outputs that is 2 videos, 2 right audio and 2 left audio. You can as well split further by adding splitters on top of each other for more options. After that it's all about extending your cable to where it pleases you.

Chriswazo: Yea, i don't mind watching what the main room is watching, so is possible to do without extra pay of subscription and the rest? Yes. Through the output, either RF or AV. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by Chinedu7: 6:29pm On Oct 21, 2016 |
Chriswazo: Excuse fellas, please is it possible to share MCL cable to two televisions in separate rooms? MCL is a subscription base cable network that operates in Aba city, is just like the Gotv, Startimes, but is better than all of them. To do that, you need their earlier extra box, that means paying double subscription or you may ask them if they have dual view box but if you decide to extend the only one you have then it means the room will only watch what the primary source is showing. |

lincolnola: Gurus,
Pls, how do I connect my 4922 decoder to another TV in the room as it doesn't have RF out? Thanks for response. Save your money, no need to buy any box that can spoil tomorrow, just get yourself 3 av splitters, 6 av heads buy 2 in 1 cable, run it and have better pictures than through RF. AV Splitter is about #100 each, AV heads #20 each and the cable should be 3x of the yards that will take you to the room. It's cheaper and more durable and you can split for more rooms if you want. lincolnola: Okay Boss, I will do just that when light comes back, but am not really sure if the fault is from the diseq as it is working for the 3 Sats I combined just that some TPs are not green at all Diseq is more than capable of doing that, you will be amazed. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by Chinedu7: 2:28pm On Oct 17, 2016 |
lincolnola: @ Chinedu7, I have checked the Sats lists and discovered that I has assigned some diseq numbers to Badr 26e and 36e before. I off them and deleted all the channels as well as the TPs in all these Sats that I tracked before I.e Badr 26e, 36e, and even the 3 Sats I combined together in the diseq. 11595 V 30000 didn't pop up. Note: I have MultiTv, 16e and MyTV on this diseq and I use 4922 decoder with patch 1.97 What else is still wrong or I can do? Try and run your cable direct, bypassing the diseq, if the Tp 11595v 30000 comes out then the diseq is faulty, change the diseq but if it doesn't come out, try another cable direct and see if it will work. It could be the input cable. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by Chinedu7: 5:13pm On Oct 16, 2016 |
lincolnola: All, I tracked Using max Tv TP @ 11595 V 30000 but when I combine the rest sats in diseq, the TP turns red.I have blindscan and even deleted some TPs but still red. What can I do? If you are sure that the diseq is OK then follow this steps. 1st delete all the channels from Astra. 2nd check the diseq number you gave to Astra, after noting the number, scan through the Sat list to make sure you didn't use the same number on another Sat for 28e. Reason: if you have scanned Astra 28e through different SATs, they will clash, at times you will get no signal or unsteady signal. After doing all that trouble shooting, blindscan again but in this kind of case, it's mostly a fault of diseq or the output cable that runs from diseq to decoder. You can consider running a fresh cable if you have one. |

consumingfire: @ chinedu7, is it possible to track BBC package on Measat 3A @ 91E on a 2.4m dish to be precise in Makurdi-Benue State Yes, it's possible but you must hang lnb not shorter than 10cm away from the primary before you start tracking. The lnbf will be placed on top of the primary. |

DoctorHindus: Oga am not sure o. He ll not be able to get important channels like GMA network n Disney but may manage to get AXN. I agree but I have said before that without AXN Apstar would be useless because Disney is difficult to get, I personally have unstable Disney on 2.4m so I rarely watch it. If you can get AXN, it's enough. For GMA, that one is even useless, I don't know why people always mention it. |

Change the channels example from left to right, if it doesn't work then come down to the second line which is usually for Language settings though it defers on different decoders but you should be able to solve it there. |

odilibe: I was referring to flat scalar ring for prime focus dish on the pic below! but conical scalar ring for offset dish will work well on offset dish cos the lnb points at offset angle and lnb is required to see smaller surface area...unlike prime focus dish...which feed is at the centre of the dish!,anything can add noise to the wanted signal..satellite signals interference with adjacent satellite..under or over illumination! I have done experiments with flat scalar rings on 3m prime focus dish and observe slight improvements ...where only horizontal transponders was improved at the Ku band in some case like nilesat 7west..and on 2m fiber dish C band signal where signal was improved with scalar ring @68.5east! and on both antennas the lnb was attached to an lnb holder then scalar ring added! and on the 2metre fiber dish the scalar ring can be adjusted for better results and not used as lnb holder and both dish are shallow satellite antennas!however flat scalar will only work well on prime focus dish if there is noise in the received signal etc... Thanks for that. I enjoyed it. |

am happy now.rocking sports 24 on qsat 28g. the long wait is worth it, i almost got tempted to buy new auto roll decoder, but decided to wait a little more. still waiting for 4922 auto roll software too. Qsat autoroll is very fast and stable. It basically autorolls every single powervu channel available. You lack nothing for now. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by Chinedu7: 9:42pm On Oct 09, 2016 |
odilibe: .... Yea ...C band scalar ring for prime focus dish is designed to reduce noise and interference thereby improve signal quality,on prime focus antenna.. Big Brother, I have done this experiment before on prime focus without any result as in no sign of signal improvement, it only worked on Offset. I will like to know why. I believe a lot in trying things and learning reasons for important actions. Reducing noise effects especially generators' noise effects worked, but didn't improve signal. |

Omoakin5: good day house.I need help oooo.I want to send DVD,gotv and Startime to 10 room,I have got gotv through rf but Startime and DVD is not showing. I have buy av to rf converter and signal booster .I use d av converter for d DVD and Startime still am unable to get DVD and startime to the room.my question is what did I need to buy to make d three signal work in all d room.pls my people oooo@oleniyi,chinnedu and all d guru Bros, your best option is still through RF but you must make sure that the DVD and Startime have RF output, if they do then you are close. Now visit the menu of the decoders and the DVD look for RF output channel of all the boxes, select numbers that are reasonably far from the other. Like no1 - 10, no2 - 15, no3 - 20, this is just to avoid clash. Of course before selecting the channel numbers you should first connect the 3 RFs in one 4-in-1 or 8-in-1 combiner, anyone based on number of channels you wish to combine. Now, for clearer pictures you may need RF amplifier to boost the signal. Once this is done, now you need splitter to split into the rooms of your choice and auto-search the 10 televisions. Note: you can use 16-in-1 or 4-in-1 splitter multiple times. |

DoctorHindus: gurus in d house @ chinedu7 n others. pls I want to know if its possible to track measat 91.5e here in Nigeria. is d dish elevation which ll be very low within our horizon? I would appreciate ur answers. Yes, but it requires at least 2.4m solid dish or above. Drop the dish to its limit then you will need to attach the lnb above the primary lnb about 7cm to 10cm long on a prime focus dish buy the easiest dish to track it is offset if you can find one. |
