The only good thing about GMA is the Philippine's Soaps if not it's useless. GMA tp is even one of those I use for tracking Apstar, it shouldn't worry you if you want to have it.

Guys should be patience, I don't think buying more decoders is the answer, patience is the answer, in less than 2 weeks they will have autoroll patches for most Strong boxes. Ask yourself if 2 weeks is worth 7,000 naira for new decoder. Of course if it's just a change to you, it's shouldn't be a problem but most regular guys in here shouldn't jump ship. A lot of decoders are advertised at the moment but they will become junk once powervu is gone. What is happening now is part of Strong business strategy to sell Srt 4950h box, another 2 weeks will see them sell more Srt 4950h than they have sold in the last 7 months. It's no coincidence that they only have Patch for srt4950h which is everywhere in the market. Strong company has huge **** with the guys that write those patches.
For solution - buy yourself data, download Mobdro or whatever to watch games for now while waiting for the ha...rs.

Yes, TBN package on SES 4/C (22W) is still roaring hot. Use 3825h, 8950sr to track
and make sure your dish size is at least 1.8M. As for the package on Apstar (76E) that beam is a spot beam
for Asia so difficult to track from here.

@geman If your dish is motorized, you can actually have Smile of a Child on Apstar as long as you have 2.4m and above. It's a very sensitive channel to have, you could have to sacrifice the signal quality of other channels to have it. It actually falls a little bit off the rest, I mean if you have motorized setup on Apstar with maximum signal quality on other channels, you will have to move your Motor slightly to maximize TBN, that is actually why it's hard on static setup. If you want it back on your setup, you need a Motor.

I agree with most of your observations, they can still improve but efficiency wise Srt 4922a is still the box to beat.

To say that Alphabox is more valuable than srt4922a is the craziest thing to say. What happens if it powervu stops tomorrow. Qsat boxes are shit today because the account isn't useful anymore. I guess 2 years ago, you would've said Qsat decoder is better than strong.
I was clear in my writeup, I said if you desire just powervu Gsky or Alphabox are sure bet, but you you want a bit of everything then Sat 4922a is the king. It has been king for years, seen decoders come and go and it still stands tall.
Tomorrow, it's possible an autoroll could be released and if Strong autorolls, will Gsky and Alphabox still be better.
Since there's still the possibility of an upgrade or key insertion, set 4922a is still the best around.
I can guarantee you that it has the best tuner I have ever seen. I have TBN and Disney Tps from Apstar which only Sat 4922a can stabilize and show without Crack, Gsky and Alphabox failed completely when they were tried.
Of course it my view and yours can be different.

Srt 4922a
it's the most flexible and accommodating decoder out there. It can pretty much do everything even though it's manual.
And it's easy to use and compatible to use for almost whatever you can think of. Card slot, cccam, YouTube video etc


Gsky V6
This Machine is arguably the most important today because it's the king of autoroll. Software support is very prompt. It can do a lot like opening biss keys encrypted channels automatically just like it does on powervu, online streaming, YouTube etc but it's my number 2 because it's not jack of all trades like Srt 4922a. If you want just powervu Gsky is your baby.



Alphabox x4
This is a poor man's Gsky v6. Alphabox is a cheaper alternative to Gsky. It's basically the cheapest efficient autoroll decoder in the market. It currently opens biss key encrypted KWESE Sports TV just like Gsky but doesn't have 70% of Gsky's features.



Conclusion:- If you can only buy one decoder, then buy Srt 4922a. If you only care about Powervu then Gsky is your baby. If you want Gsky but doesn't have enough money, then go for Alphabox X4.

Those asking for keys in here, you can't continue like that forever, why not make little effort to get it, once you successfully try it, you will never bother anyone again for keys and it will also helps protect our little secret.

If you used 2 4-in-1 diseqc then you need switch to combine them.

For those asking for this - Combining 32 lnbs in one decoder.

Follow up on how to set up 32 lnbs on a single receiver.
Make sure to open both Diseqc 1.0 and 1.1.
Diseqc 1.0 will house the 4 diseqc 1-4
Diseqc 1.1 will house the lnbs
Example - All lnbs on 1 on Diseqc 1.0 will be allocated on Diseqc 1.1 from 1 to 8, the same goes to Diseqc 2, 3 & 4. Cheers.

For those asking for this - Combining 32 lnbs in one decoder.

A lot of them like BBC Prime, Setanta, AXN, History channel among other premium channels in HD. It's similar to Apstar but slightly better.

measat 91 is receavable in maiduguri with 1.8m or 2.4m

I tracked it in the east with 2.4m mesh dish but only achieved few unimportant tps. With solid 2.4m, it can be improved in the east.

@paulowas. Measat@91.5e is not receivable in Nigeria. Reason: Below the Horizon.
For CCCAM SERVER SETUP for ALPHABOX Press MENU and navigate to SETTINGS. Press 2778 on the RCU to pop up ACCESS CONTROL MENU. Go to CCCAM CLIENT SETUP and press OK. Go to edit cccam.cfg and press OK. Enter the CCCAM account details and press OK. EXIT and SAVE.

Measat is receivable, it's proven.

Fox seems gone.

For those asking if Measat 3 at 91.5°E is possible in Nigeria. The answer is yes but only on minimum of 2.4m solid dish not net, but to get maximum tps then go for 3.0m solid dish. Note, this can only be achieved with an attachment lnb on top of the primary lnb slot on a prime focus dish. The attachment bar or whatever must not be shorter than 10cm.

Track NSS 12 with 3800v 20000 make sure to maximize MTN signal quality, lock your dish before attaching 68.5e on top.

Not really, it works well with Sports24 if it's connected direct not through diseqc, Qsat is notoriously incompatible with most diseqc in the market.

@Chinedu7, good job as usual, pls in 3-in-1 combo, what is the distance of the topmost LNB (Secondary one without dielectric plate) to the middle one. I mean the one for tracking Thaicom, Apstar etc. thanks.

The dish is motorized so no need to calculate distance but for motorized dish it should be 5cm and above to avoid blocking each other, which leads to signal quality reduction.

To me this picture illustrates the best way to do 3-in-1 combo but If it's 2-in-1 combo, there is no preference to which one comes in primary or secondary but in case if you really want to continue enjoying Thaicom for whatever reason then you will have to make lnb with plate primary and without plate secondary that is assume you attached the lnb on top, but if you want to attach below then make without plate primary and with plate secondary below. My explanation is due to the channels positions, Thaicom, Apstar, Thaicom, Measat all don't require plates but from Intelsat 66e to down require plate.
Note: You have to be good in tracking to achieve good results, you have to consider the bar's position, height, bend, lnb characteristics and so on.

Can it track Startimes and CTL? YES. Can it open them? NO.
For now, no free Terrestrial bouquet or stations exist in Nigeria. It can only work when any of the Terrestrial bouquet is temporarily free.

I can't agree more,but would suggest using the LNB with dielectric as primary (SP24) considering it's small signal on 1.8m,then the LNB with dielectric as secondary (Sony) since it has a better signal...I think it will easier balancing them this way.From your description,doing that would be VERY difficult unless he's very good and has good lnbs too...I stand to be corrected though!

First no need to talk about which one should be primary or secondary in this case. They can both be maximized. Secondly, attached lnbs on prime focus dish is like using offset dish, and of course offset dish provides better signal quality that prime focus, with that theory it's safe to say that attached lnb should have higher signal percentage than the fixed one, don't get me wrong, this only applies to prime focus dishes. The problem is that most times people attach wrongly or use bad holders. If it's done well on prime focus, I can assure you that it's brings higher gain. This is tested and confirmed.
