Pls house I want to know if my 1.8m dish can nail both Sony and 24; east and west on motorise...Am on Sony already with 65%.I want to know if my Sony will not be affected in one way or the if motorised. Thanks

It depends on how good you are because you will need to attach another cband lnb with dielectric plate for Sports24 because it's attached you can focus on maximizing the quality from the attached lnb without interrupting the primary lnb which is Sony that is provided your arc is balanced. It's one of the advantages of attached lnb, with single lnb you must sacrifice signal quality from both sides but in this case it's a must to attach another lnb for Sports24 and that gives you the opportunity to have perfect maximum quality from both sides, again the arc and the installer must be good.

Thanks for your prompt response, this means my arc was right before cos I was getting the sats u mentioned b4 including Sony Ent & Sony Six HD @ IS 20@68.5e & IS 17 @ 66e respectively but my only problem is Thaicom & Apstar. I'm using 3m motorised fibre dish.

No it's not, you don't need good arc to get 66e and 68e. They are close enough. Why others are eluding you is the cause of your struggles. First sort out your arc and go again.

@Chinedu7, after turning the dish to the left a little bit standing behind as you suggested the situation became worse as I could not get any channel from 75e to 28.2e thereby defeating the purpose & I was getting them before, so what do I do next.

Then that means that your arc is bad, not balanced. Try to balance the arc, make sure you are able to get both East and west without shifting the dish. Once you get your arc right, you won't worry about finding any position again. Balancing the arc is everything. I can't go into details now how to easily do that but you can try this - Remove the cband, replace it with kuband, try to track SES 5e, once tracked lock your dish return the cband and your job will become easier.

@Chinedu7, thanks for this your contribution, Pls what best tps can I use for Thaicom & Apstar cos I'm going to work on your explanation. Those sats have been difficult for me to get.

For Thaicom use 3520 H 28125. For Apstar use 3725V 5925.

I got NSS, got Thaicom, but apstar no gree obey. Attached image is my dream setup.

With the lnb skew, Apstar won't obey easily and that lnb, short Supermax is not advisable. Use STRONG.

Please apstar is proving difficult for me on my 2.4m. The highest I got with the Tp you posted is 57%. 3990,3880 and others refuse to turn green, I am using the same old supermax lnb I used for 68.5e with 75%.

Use STRONG Lnb, it's the best around for IS20 & APSTAR. To track APSTAR, first track IS20, maximize aljezira frequency mark your pole, go down track Thaicom mark the pole as well. For Thaicom you will have to move your dish few centimeters to your left while standing at the back if your dish. Now, Look for APSTAR between the two marked positions. This process is only if you have tried everything before with no luck. Note: Apstar should be very close to Thaicom than IS20, so basically if you can get above average signal quality and strength then you should be able to nail Apstar. Again Apstar selects lnb position, use 3oclock or 9o'clock.

Is it possible to combine 7.3w and 22w on a 1m dish? Anybody tried it?

Yes, tested and confirmed. Even 90cm can do it but 7.3w must be primary due to poor signal level.

The distance is bigger now, practically becomes more difficult to combine though not impossible depending on your dish size. If it's what I think, 1.8m then I advise you to forget trying for MBC but if you have energy to burn, you can give more trials because nothing is impossible.

thanks for your response, its fixed, ground mount and the lnb l use is the same with the one in one of your motorize set up, the dual ku/cband lnb.

You shouldn't have problems with Apstar. Since you are using ground mount, you need to free the dish a bit to be able to move left and right. Now, standing behind your dish shift it to your right, slightly until Thaicom disappears then stop. Input 3727 V 5925, lift the dish up slowly, you will hit green.
